Off Grid Jay and Jen I'm curious how many amperes it delivers in practice. It's a shame I live far away. They are nice eco-Worthy battery. I hope I can find a good windmill too. I live in the Netherlands. Greetings from Jeroen from the Netherlands,
Yes , we would love to have a eco worthy battery ! Off grid with JAY and Jen is awesome , learning so much about solar from awesome people is amazing !!!!! Thanks for sharing !!!!! 🙏👍😊❤️
i am in Edmonton and next for me is the solar tracker and 6 panels. I was wondering about turbines. From what I've seen people have NOT been that successful but I will watch as I know you will be truthful! Off grid Jay and Jen are AWESOME!!
Off grid with Jay and Jen is awesome. I taught wind and solar and fuel cells for a few years at a local 2 year college some years ago. You are seeing much of what we found. You have to have constant 30mph plus wind to get near the 400Watts out. You really need flat farmland or on a boat on water type terrain tor wind power. The higher the better, and every tree or building causes a slowdown or eddy type air flow which reduces power you can harvest. That is one reason the massive 300 ft tall generators are used for utility scale power. These do usually put out a small trickle charge even at night so they can make a reasonable supplement to solar or hydro. It is hard to beat solar panel prices these days. A single 100w panel on an overcast day puts out what you were seeing from the wind generator. Not saying they are useless, just you have to know their limitations and strengths, just like the solar.
I'm with you Mac, I toyed with the idea of a small wind generator for my off grid system, but just didn't feel the consistency was there, along with the noise and possible ongoing maintenance, I opted for solar only which is silent, easy to maintain, cheap and reliable, even on overcast days solar works just fine. 🤠😎
When it wasn’t spinning I wondered if you had it in break. I think if the leads are shorter together it can cause the wind mill to stop spinning. Don’t quote me on this. Here in north Texas we get good wind but I would have to raise it above the trees to capitalize on it. I still may try wind one day. All the best from north Texas.
Looks awesome that wind turbine, very simple to set up,dont enter me for the draw as i live in southern China, give it to someone who needs it,Good luck to you both.
Hi Jay and Jen, A large percentage of being a good welder depends on how good you can grind. I would love to have a wind turbine and I have a very good little welder in my work shed. I'm 86 and always looking for something to keep me busy here in southwest Florida, I watch all of your videos.
My husband and I would love one of these for our garage! We are retired and it would really help our system! Thank you for helping us consider products that you try first!
Too bad I am up north! Still enjoy watching. And definitely going to try your Amazon shower for my outdoor sauna in the spring! Don’t want to run a water line.
Off grid with Jay and Jen are awesome, informative and quite funny. Planning to retire and looking to homestead off grid. Thank you for all you share. I would love an eco worthy battery.
Super informative vid. I've always been curious about wind but being in the woods like you, Ive been hesitant to try. I'm looking forward to your 12 v results. I loved the shot where your solar was snow covered but the turbine was spinning.
Off Grid Jay is awesome! Very timely as this May, I'm moving to the U.P. for OFF-GRID living. Of course, liked and subscribed. Thank you for sharing with us. Happy New Year!
Just discovered you guys. So far so good! I'd love the battery. Could use it immediately. I'm going to watch a number of other videos. I like the style of both of you.
After seeing your live this weekend, maybe you can run one outlet from those batteries into the kitchen area so when there isn't sun & your main power gets low, you can just switch the coffee pot plug over to this. I really hope this works well for your power plans. Getting solar is a big bucket list for me & I am excited at the improvements in the equipment/options.
Off grid with Jay & Jen are Awesome !! I really can use two batteries Mine were stolen as fedup delivered them to another house different town too... Please ..doug
Off Grid Jay is Awesome (and so is Jen!!!) I'd love to add some wind to my solar here in Ohio. You guys are doing a fabulous job on this channel. Thanks so much!!
Off grid Jay and Jen are AWESOME!! I am just starting my off grid retirement home and hope to retire in 2 years. The battery would be a great addition to my homestead.
Love watching " Off Grid with Jay & Jen" Always something new to learn with the projects they do.. I am happy for you both in getting the wind turbine so cool folks Hopefully it will work for ya better in the long run. I don't need to be entered as I am in Ontario but still love your channel. see ya on the next one interesting video nice installation Jay.
Off Grid Jay is awesome. This video is perfect timing as I was just looking at small turbines to supplement my system with. I would love to win an eco-worthy battery. On a side note, near the end you showed how out of balance those two batteries are. I am glad that you are going to switch to parallal as the current configuration will stop charging when that one battery hits 100% before the other one and disconnects the batteries.
Off Grid Jay and Jen are awesome! Looking to build out my RV setup and more batteries are always welcome! Keep up the good work here with what you're doing!
I have been using Eco Worthy batteries on my RV for the past two years. I have the older version and would love to try out the new version. Great videos.
Yay!! I've been waiting on this. As a widow working with an off-grid farm install, I need things that are DIY friendly and as easy as possible. Off Grid Jay is awesome because he tells it like it is! If I decide to invest in this product, I know what I'm getting myself into. Thanks for an authentic review, warts and all.
I want an eco-worthy battery. Living here in SE Michigan and maybe moving up to the TC area one day I had thought of a wind turbine for a while. However, for me I'd prefer that eco-worthy had a pre-fabricated flange option that would fit over a heavy gauge pipe and just bolt it on. Reading the specs and reviews I am still amazed a PWM (24v) is being used. Personally, if I got one for free, I would wire it up with a 12v battery, MPPT controller, and an accurate diversion load. I do like the option of using the diversion resistors to heat the battery barn and I had planned on a similar setup to heat a small green house shed to give the wife and I another winter hobby. Good luck and keep the audience wanting more. Ii will try your discount code on the server battery. Gary in SE MI
Off grid Jay and Jen (of course) are awesome. We love watching all the hard work you do. Homestead is looking great. We would love the opportunity to win an ecoworthy battery. GOD BLESS you BOTH.
By the way, thanks for trying this out. Your experience tells me that a wind turbine like that would not add much value to my solar system. Also, I broke up my thoughts into several separate comments to help your RUclips algorithm.
Off grid Jay, you are awesome! Woot! Woot! Been looking at LiFePP batteries for sometime for my travel trailer as well as a backup power solution for my homestead. Those eco-worthy units look like they might fit the bill.
I want an eco Flo 100 battery, Off Grid with Jen and Jay are the awesomest! I have a turbine 300watts with small battery, enough to run a light at our cabin at the coast. A bigger battery would be awesome, as always great video…
Offgrid Jay and Jen are Awesome! I bought my 1st Eco-Worthy products on a Good Friday Deal and they arrived Dec 5th, 2 100 watt bifacial solar panels, the 1st day I set them up they peaked out at 197 watts, I m very pleased with them. $56 per panel.
i want an Eco-Worthy Battery. You guys are great! i love watching your videos. You are just regular people building things. Keep creating great videos!
Hey guys like I have said before you guys are awesome to the highest degree ❤ keep up the great work of showing how to survive off grid nowadays. I look forward to building my cabin off grid and this is why I continue to watch your RUclips channel. Keep trucking
Off grid Jay and Jenn are awesome... i have learned that i need a wind back up for my system... with all the gloom and foog lately my batts are not getting charged enough to keep up with needs... does great in the summer... not so well when we get to dark winter in MN..... i hope to get one of these sytems to add before we go off grid hopefully this spring or summer... thanks for the great videos !!! I want an Eco-Worthy battery! This ought to help your system. Now you can help the bayyeries even when the sun is not out. Good Luck with this! Stay safe and God Bless! Happy New Year!
Great set up I would like to try this myself, I struggle with my power. I need to see if I am able to get one in Australia. Your showing step by step certainly helps a novice. I just cannot grasp the watts and amps part for solar and I have been at it for years. It just will not sink into my head. I am 12v so you changing to that I am interested to see how and your transfer to backup your 24 system. I have saved this video for later reference.
Off grid Jay is awsome. But that goes without saying. I love your videos. It's real life. I stumbled on your videos one day and look forward to the next one.
Off Grid Jay is AWESOME. thanks for the awesome content! Wind turbines are hard for most people, Ya have to get them WAY up in the air and away from trees that block wind. Hard for most off grid peeps who live in the woods :)
Thanks for sharing this information, I was thinking about adding a wind generator myself, looking forward to your success, keep us updated on the progress with this...
