Piano and Vocals Live at Home - Original Song "Dice"

When writing this piano and vocal song, I was reflecting on how life events and the way we react to them can shape who we become. I wanted the song to express contrast between loud and soft, heavy and quiet, and simple and complex. I hope this piano and vocal performance allows listeners to relate to the feeling of repeated defeat, yet overcoming that defeat each time while holding onto faith that you are getting where you want to be.

Welcome back, Todd. Isn't it wonderful to have music to get us over the rough spots. Imagine those not having the artistic ability of musical expression in which to pour their frustrations, fears, defeats and hope. Writing a song about what we are feeling at the moment is like giving one's self a big hug and reassuring ourselves that it's all going to work out...and adding a little dose of 'pride of accomplishment' for extra measure.
