What a tour of the Marvel Universe...Ultron, the Sphincter, Solo, New Warriors, and of course, Venom
I was about to say I'm calling him the Sphincter from now one but I remembered I already call Rictor that.
It’s funny this was my Amazing Spider-Man. This was the run I was most into the comic. I collected every issue. Yet today I have very little nostalgia for it. I feel more fondness for the DeFalco/Frenz Amazing or even for the Conway stuff in the other books. DeMatteis/Buscema also. And of course Al Milgrom’s underrated Spectacular.
Ally Milgers writes that Round Robin story with Bagley.

All I remember is the horrible gold design with the red stripes all over him.
Nothing like starting off an omnibus focused on Bagley’s run with a comic that Bagley didn’t draw.
They love doing that. All the time. Absolutely love it.
I want to say Midnight deserved better...but let's face it, the guy was a wannabe.
He did return (as a villain again) in 2006. He even brought his cyborg nurse along with him. I wouldn't mind seeing him become a recurring Moon Knight antagonist. Sidekick-turned-outright-villain isn't that common.
