John, you speak with integrity and truth. On a side note I would like to personally thank you because of an act of kindness you did at a car show recently here in Cincinnati. My nephew age 46 was paralyzed just less than a decade ago and is in a wheelchair. When you saw him you took the time to come off stage and personally greet him and his family. It meant the world to us as he religiously watched the “Duke boys” as a child and you stopped everything you were doing to speak to him man to man and my family will always hold that memory and you sir in high regard. Salute’ 🙏🏻
His therapist probably has him in full denial...and his manager probably is script writing the interviews for damage control. Thank you Mr Schneider for your honesty and candor. I am 72 years old and have been handling firearms since I was 8. I am retired from the US ARMY I have trained young soldiers and my own children to shoot and handle firearms safely. In my over 60 years of handling fire arms I have had 2 unintended discharges, one was a slam fire (not possible with a single action revolver) and one was my own stupidity. But fortunately I was following the rule I was taught when I was 8 and the rifle I was holding was pointed down range and nothing was damaged but my pride. I have the exact same Pietta revolver in my collection, and I can say with complete confidence HE PULLED THE TRIGGER.

I'm only 61, but I was trained at age 5 to handle weapons. Number one rule is check your weapon. 2. Never point a gun unless you intend to shoot. 3 Never shoot unless you intend to kill. ... I accidentally hit and killed a dog many years ago when it ran into street right in the path of my car. I was incredibly sad and felt so guilty even though it was an accident. To this day I feel bad about it. Alex saying he doesn’t feel responsible is because a lawyer told him to say that or he’s a cold MF’er.

The fact it was a single action revolver means he took an additional, deliberate, and highly unsafe step in handling that firearm. People were sloppy in the handling of that gun period. My son accidentally broke a glass in a window and a sliver went into a correction guards eye. John, you speak with integrity and truth. On a side note I would like to personally thank you because of an act of kindness you did at a car show recently here in Cincinnati. My nephew age 46 was paralyzed just less than a decade ago and is in a wheelchair. When you saw him you took the time to come off stage and personally greet him and his family. It meant the world to us as he religiously watched the “Duke boys” as a child and you stopped everything you were doing to speak to him man to man and my family will always hold that memory and you sir in high regard. Salute’ 🙏🏻

Thank you Mr Schneider for your honesty and candor. I am 72 years old and have been handling firearms since I was 8. I am retired from the US ARMY I have trained young soldiers and my own children to shoot and handle firearms safely. In my over 60 years of handling fire arms I have had 2 unintended discharges, one was a slam fire (not possible with a single action revolver) and one was my own stupidity. But fortunately I was following the rule I was taught when I was 8 and the rifle I was holding was pointed down range and nothing was damaged but my pride. I have the exact same Pietta revolver in my collection, and I can say with complete confidence HE PULLED THE TRIGGER.

I went to use Binos on a elk , my foot slipped on a rock and I put a round thru Stetson right beside my ear...with my ear deaf I got down on my knees and thanked God for the lesson learned and for sparing this fool

I'm only 61, but I was trained at age 5 to handle weapons. Number one rule is check your weapon. 2. Never point a gun unless you intend to shoot. 3 Never shoot unless you intend to kill. ... The fact it was a single action revolver means he took an additional, deliberate, and highly unsafe step in handling that firearm. He had to cock that sidearm, aim it at a person, and then place his finger on the trigger. Right now, a police officer is on trial for her life when she made a terrible mistake in the course of a dangerous situation on the job. Shouldn't Baldwin be held to the same standard? People were sloppy in the handling of that gun period. My son accidentally broke a glass in a window and a sliver went into a correction guards eye. Thanks John. I've acted on several movie sets but, never with a gun on set so you've been very knowledgeable about that. I too am embarrassed for the industry. There's so much bad stuff going on there.

As a gun owner who is watching this while away from my house I am scared to death to think what my guns are up to in my absence. I mean seriously, if they can fire themselves I have no doubt they can not only remove themselves from my gun safe but load themselves as well. The first thing I ever do when handed a gun is point it safely away from anyone and check to see if it is loaded. Even if I just saw someone just clear it. That is just what you do. Anyone holding a gun that goes off is responsible for that. Period.

If you did that check you would open it and see bullets.. and that is what you expected to see! because it was supposed to be loaded, but it was supposed to be fake bullets. Saying that he did not pull the trigger is bullshit, that I agree, but if you expect every actor in holywood to be able to understand weapons, then you need to close movie industry, because the majority will NOT.
If I buy an excavator to use in a movie and I hire people to ensure the blade is FIXED in anon dangerous position because I am not a certified operator. During the shootings the blade arms falls lose and an accident happen. It is NOT ANY fault on the person that was driving! HE had been assured that it was impossible and he is very likely not a certified heavy machine operator.
