instant mode can be a bit of a nightmare with some voices but it seems like ASTERIAN's settines for it (however those work?) are perfectly tuned to his voice, i wouldn't have guessed this wasn't human-tuned without being told so. also can i just say he might be the best sounding bass vocal synth to just. exist, period. i'm sooo excited for his release
i think it’s simply the Instant Mode technology improving over time. Mai was released very recently and she has been praised for her really well-articulated Instant Mode pitchbends

Yes - there are some small improvements we are still making to instant mode and the vocal modes, the ASTERIAN database has been undergoing quite a lot of careful work by both ourselves and Dreamtonics to further improve it. We plan on uploading some comparison renders when the final version is complete, which should be very soon! However, we don't expect it to be very different overall, especially tonally or regarding pitch generation, so the demo songs so far are still very representative of the final voice.
Excellent! So far the only english voice I have used is Kevin, and I love Solaria, the bass tone is great on this! Kevin is a lot more pop sounding and I want a male voice with some bass :)

I still think he needs more improvement. His voice is too deep and unatural to me, that's the problem I have with him, I want me to like him but I just can't.
But... Hey! I didn't like Solaria during her teaser and now that she is full released I'm love with her voice, so I guess this may happen again with him.
his voice isn't for you, but for a lot of people this fills a long existing hole in vocal types. we need more low register voices with unique sounds, and ASTERIAN checks all the boxes. there hasn't been a voice like his since Big Al. like yeah he def needs improvements but those will come soon. I'd say try out his demo/lite and see if his unnaturalness grows on you like SOLARIA did!
As the composer for this song, I've heard Eric's natural voice, and it is immaculately captured with Asterian. His voice isn't for everybody, but I can't imagine this song with anyone else!
Eric's bass voice is the lowest bass voice on the planet. I too prefer not so deep tones for males, but it is what it is. Eclipsed Sounds just brought up the niche, that could never be occupied by any other synthv provider
'karaoke gone wrong' type of experience.
