the satin set is "real" satin, just not real silk. satin is a type of weave, not a fabric, and it makes the fabric smooth & silky! it's probably polyester, but it's still good for your hair & looks great
satin is cotton though and it’s usually on the more expensive side as it’s a natural material, derived from a plant. satin has a softer than regular cotton feel to it because of the more dense weaving, yes, which increases the price. so a real satin set can hardly be just 20$. polyester, on the other hand, can, as it’s pretty cheap. it’s a form of plastic, usually made from petroleum. polyester is not that good for your hair (compared to satin or silk), because of static electricity that it creates with movement (unlike natural materials, which have low electrical conductivity). also, it can be bad for sensitive skin because of the chemicals used in the production of the synthetic materials.

_heatheryvonne_ i just learned recently that the US is one of the few countries that sell fitted sheets with bedding sets. Most other will buy neutral colored fitted sheets separately and then just buy whatever bedding sets they want and use them together. It blew my mind because since I was born, my fitted sheet always matched everything else. And I’ve never seen a bedding set in the US sold without a fitted sheet.

When buying on Wish, always look under the "description" section. The titles are often misleading because they're trying to hit as many keywords as possible. But if you look at the description, it will tell you what you're actually getting. For instance, I found what I'm pretty sure is the same listing for the southwestern set and the description specifically says it doesn't include the comforter. It will also usually list the fabric used. Sucks that you have to learn tips just to shop on Wish, but I hope this helps someone. Also, if you get something like that red set that is not the same quality as pictures, contact customer support. It's just a little messenger program and you can explain the problem and include a picture, and they're usually really good about making things right.

MIA, get a air mattress and a cheap but cute frame, so you don't have to drag a mattress to where you're filming, lmao. That way it's easier to put away if you need to, but it's always there. Would also be good for naps? Though if you have the room maybe an actual cheap mattress? Lol

Pro tip: I covered my old comforter in a duvet cover, you can buy $5 clips to connect them, or just sew little hair elastics to your comforter corners to use it as your duvet, rather than buying a new insert!

I don't think that anything on Wish will ever be silk and I'm quite surprised that the ad didn't say silk (finally an "honest" description on Wish). I just wanted to point this little thing out that silk is a material made from caterpillars cocoons and is super expensive, but a lot of time the "silk" in these cheaper products is just synthetic polyester woven in a satin way to make it all shiny and smooth. So your mom is probably right!! If you have a tendency to sweat in your sleep, I wouldn't recommend cheaper "silk" material because the material doesn't breath as much and it can become very sweaty at night 😊
Yep! Pro tip: if you’re a hot sleeper you want 100% cotton duvet, cotton woven blanket, and either 100% percale sheets or pima (pima cotton is thinner than percale and great for summer).

Hi Mia! 💕 If you continue this bedding series (either looking on shein or wish again for different products for a part 3 or doing another inexpensive site like aliexpress), it would be really cool and fun to get a couple pillows that you think are cute/funny/interesting and see what their quality is like; I know they usually just sell covers for regular and throw pillows but they also sell some gel or memory foam pillows and cute pillows in the shapes/designs of certain things, etc. I know there's not a huge selection so maybe it wouldn't work out, but if you were to do it and didn't want to keep the pillows for yourself you could give them to people experiencing homelessness so that if they have to find somewhere to sleep they can use the pillow for comfort. Anyway, just a random idea but nonetheless I always love your videos so much and this bedding series is super fun and interesting and I know it takes so much work as well. Thanks for always making such great content for all of us :) 💖
9:54 - I believe that set is from SHEIN. When I was looking for bedding on the website I saw that product with the exact same picture but it just had different colours. I just checked and it seems that wish is charging more for the other colours since SHEIN has more neutral colours that are just for $36. I just kinda noticed it and wanted to point it out
the final test will be after you wash them. some of them look and feel amazing, but after the first wash they are turning into something else. fingers crossed!
I find it odd that you’re always expecting them to come with a sheet- is this normal in the USA/Canada? In the uk, 99% of the time duvet sets will only come with the pillow case and duvet cover, and sheets have to be bought separately
All I Know Is Nothing it really depends. Some sets have a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet & pillow cases, while some only come with duvet & pillow cases. I’d say it is more common to have the sheets included
Usually duvet sets have a duvet and then 2 or 4 shams (decorative pillow cases) and "bed in a bag" is a duvet/comforter, flat + fitted sheet and 2 pillow cases, sometimes 2 shams as well. Depends how much you're looking to spend :)
Here when we buy bedding sets it always come with a comforter a dauvet cover a pillow cover and a bed sheet you will never find any store that have anything less than 4 piece set

Right ive lived in fl for 7 years And NY State for 17 years. I must say i havnt had proper bedding since living here in Fl. All I have is a sheet and one throw blanket.
A conforter is a quilted and stuffed blanket. A duvet is the same but its in two parts: a plain white inner comforter. And a interchanged outer lining. Duvets are easier to wash than conforters.
I’ve been too afraid to spend any kind of money on wish bc I’m too impatient to wait the 3 months it takes. Would rather spend the extra money for it on Amazon and get it the next day lol
Dear Mia, the red one is for Chinese wedding 😂 Guests will be invited to the couple's "new home ", and the place should be decorated in red. Of couse it will not be completed without a red bedding! I personally am not a fan of that as a Chinese, but it was still set up for my wedding.😅
My husband and I for years slept in a queen bed. We finally got a king. We’re too short people he’s 5’6 I’m 5’2. When we finally laid down in our huge bed we felt like toddlers in a bed? It’s so cute when we go to bed at night it’s like how are you doing way over there oh I’m really good it’s a little cold can we meet in the middle. 😝😆🤣😂🤪 We have one of those really soft plush blankets in between all of their blankets my husband swears to God, this blanket has a mind of its own it always finds its way to the bottom of the bed and slips between all of our other covers it’s hilarious. The only issues I have with this cheap bedding is it it’s that cheap bedding made out of synthetics. That fuzzy blanket we’re actually going to get rid of. No more synthetics on our bed. That silky comfy velvety blanket is actually going to become a couch blanket. I’m done ✅ searching for a comfy cotton blanket! I went all natural fibers. Sheets are good our quilt is good our top comforter is good it’s just that middle blanket... Huge difference between silk and satin. Silk is natural. Still allows the body to breath doesn’t overheat you. Seriously that cheap bedding would drive me crazy. 🙃
I agree, my sheets are Egyptian cotton or brushed cotton, my bedding pure cotton and I have a cotton velvet blanket for extra warmth. I am currently saving for some cotton satin sheets (I would love silk but that it too expensive) it all feels so lovely on the skin compared to cheaper polycotton stuff...

9:54 - I believe that set is from SHEIN. When I was looking for bedding on the website I saw that product with the exact same picture but it just had different colours. I just checked and it seems that wish is charging more for the other colours since SHEIN has more neutral colours that are just for $36.

the final test will be after you wash them. some of them look and feel amazing, but after the first wash they are turning into something else. fingers crossed!
My personal fav is _definitely_ the pink fluffy one. It looks great, and pretty comfy too!

I find it odd that you’re always expecting them to come with a sheet- is this normal in the USA/Canada? In the uk, 99% of the time duvet sets will only come with the pillow case and duvet cover, and sheets have to be bought separately
All I Know Is Nothing it really depends. Some sets have a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet & pillow cases, while some only come with duvet & pillow cases. I’d say it is more common to have the sheets included
Usually duvet sets have a duvet and then 2 or 4 shams (decorative pillow cases) and "bed in a bag" is a duvet/comforter, flat + fitted sheet and 2 pillow cases, sometimes 2 shams as well. Depends how much you're looking to spend :)
Here when we buy bedding sets it always come with a comforter a dauvet cover a pillow cover and a bed sheet you will never find any store that have anything less than 4 piece set
It's been forever since I bought a set but I remember only getting the duvet and pillow sheets in the USA. Some of the more expensive sets probably come with the bedsheets here though.
In Australia most duvet sets just come with a duvet cover and two pillow cases too, unless its specifically a bed in a bag set.

Where I live in Florida it can get to the 30s, and we don’t have a proper heater so I have a bedding set and a quilt haha

A conforter is a quilted and stuffed blanket. A duvet is the same but its in two parts: a plain white inner comforter. And a interchanged outer lining. Duvets are easier to wash than conforters.

Dear Mia, the red one is for Chinese wedding 😂 Guests will be invited to the couple's "new home ", and the place should be decorated in red. Of couse it will not be completed without a red bedding! I personally am not a fan of that as a Chinese, but it was still set up for my wedding.😅
Satin sheets suck. Everything slips and slides right off the bed.

My husband and I for years slept in a queen bed. We finally got a king. We’re too short people he’s 5’6 I’m 5’2. When we finally laid down in our huge bed we felt like toddlers in a bed? It’s so cute when we go to bed at night it’s like how are you doing way over there oh I’m really good it’s a little cold can we meet in the middle. 😝😆🤣😂🤪
We have one of those really soft plush blankets in between all of their blankets my husband swears to God, this blanket has a mind of its own it always finds its way to the bottom of the bed and slips between all of our other covers it’s hilarious.
The only issues I have with this cheap bedding is it it’s that cheap bedding made out of synthetics. That fuzzy blanket we’re actually going to get rid of. No more synthetics on our bed. That silky comfy velvety blanket is actually going to become a couch blanket. I’m done ✅ searching for a comfy cotton blanket! I went all natural fibers. Sheets are good our quilt is good our top comforter is good it’s just that middle blanket...
Huge difference between silk and satin. Silk is natural. Still allows the body to breath doesn’t overheat you. Seriously that cheap bedding would drive me crazy. 🙃

I agree, my sheets are Egyptian cotton or brushed cotton, my bedding pure cotton and I have a cotton velvet blanket for extra warmth. I am currently saving for some cotton satin sheets (I would love silk but that it too expensive) it all feels so lovely on the skin compared to cheaper polycotton stuff...
