This is an interview with Samuel Weinstein who served in the 103rd Infantry Division, 411th Infantry Regiment, Company E as a squad leader. He went overseas with the outfit and fought with them until he was wounded by a German bullet in the face. He actually is credited with saving another soldier's life while under heavy German fire.
This is an interview series with the veterans who fought for the Allied Countries during WWII.

My grandpa was in WW2 his nother was 100% Jewish from Sweden his dad was german. My grandpa was a awesome man who lived to be 100yrs old. He was healthy for his age he didnt even have dentures or glasses. My Dad fought in Vietnam and he was 100% service connected because of agent orange. Thank you for what you do it's priceless and i love history. My grandpa was buried with a piece of german shrapnel in his eye. If they took it out it would have caused more damage. Blind for 3 months but came back with 20/20 vision.
These men are so humble and brave.

But on a lighter note Grandaddy commanded 22-25 Firing Squads at "Hitler's Prison". 50-60 were shot until a gallows was built then it was just "swinging in the breeze". Lol, it begins with an "L". (Lans?), 250+ of the WORST Nazi's were executed there, 1946-1949, Grandpa John stayed in Germany under the occupation force and then other names until returning to Boston in 1951, He and my German grandmother Agneta settled in Ireland in 1953.
