I thought that's who that was! I didn't get into Parks and Rec until long after I saw this for the first time. It's always fun going back and watching old Key and Peele videos I haven't seen in a long time and finding people I didn't know was in them.

For HIP-HOP lovers, this is actually where it all begun. It's called Jazz Scat. it's a vocal jazz, where the vocal's main goal is lead the song with good rhyming vocals (either you are saying actual words or saying no nsense, but all about the melody). And this evolved to actual rhyming words. This inspired funk/disco singers to do the same with actual rhyming words. Then the a funk/disco band called Fatback Band, releazed their very first COMMERCIAL hip hop song (called kim something III), and then after actual rappers started to show up such as Coke La Rock who is believed to be the very first MC, and the sugar hill gang with legendary song that made rap/hip-hop popular in the world (And in the music industry in USA and the rest of the world)
the fact that i just started singing jazz makes this even better
So from now on - every time you are mad at someone - the only way you are allowed to tell them is by "scat"... ;-)

Shout out to the bassist and drummer who are actually following all this madness perfectly. Key and Peele are amazing and the musicians just take it to the next level. They could've just used a track and hired actors to play the musicians but they didn't and it's sooooo much better for it!
