    Ma’am could we use could or could have in place of might/may or may/might have for making past or present/future possible deductions for eg; in a past deduction sentence “he might/may have fallen asleep just now that’s why he didn’t pick up the phone” to “he could have fallen asleep just now that’s why he didn’t pick up the phone” and “he may/might have said so that’s why she isn’t talking” to “he could have said so that’s why she isn’t talking” or “He might have gone to the gym in the morning that’s why he’s tired now” to “he could’ve gone to the gym in the morning that’s why he’s tired now”. And in future deduction as “he might be singing tomorrow” to “he could be singing tomorrow” or “he might be running” to “he could be running” or “he might be going to the gym tomorrow” to “he could be going to the gym tomorrow”. Please Please help Ma’am. I’d hugely thankful to you.

    Dear prof,
    I was wondering if I might dare to ask you a question? would you happen to know if you are going to plan a lesson about Could/Must/Might/May + Have +Been + Vbing. Just other information: what do you think about my scheme of Possibility:
    Will (100%), Must (95%) May (50%) Might (30%) could (30%) can ( 70 % general possibility) . I'm deeply sorry for disturbing you.

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  7 лет назад +1

      MV + have been Ving - is also about the past, but you think about a continuous action.
      - Why didn't you answer your phone yesterday at noon?
      - I must have been having lunch at the moment.
      As for the scheme, I would say that may, might, could and can are rather closer

    Wow! what an amazing English cracking exercise, one really enjoyed it! especially using those fascinating examples! but wait a minute, what happened to the idea of presenting short video clips alongside the lessons! one is pretty sure that it was a good approach! duh!

      It is copyright infringement, it is against law. Some of my videos were declined monetization, so I stopped doing it.

      Antonia Romaker - English and Russian online Yeah, Okay, sad to hear that. Please don't get me wrong, but I was wondering if I got it right, are you making money from your RUclips Videos!? If you say so, then would you mind if you make an illustrative video on how to do that! love you the Blonde Russian, English Teacher :-)

      Anwar Nillufary sorry, it is not connected with the main idea of my channel. It is nothing special, I am sure there a lot of such videos here. It is simple, you just need to be patient and work hard ;)
