Really very nice indeed. I always felt that Bach would have loved this instrument. I put your fine work on my synthesizer play list! I will look at your playlist!
The variation number 7 straight up made me laugh so hard, I was hearing everything with an open mind since I don’t really like this kinda of alterations with classical masterpieces, and I had this weird sense of enjoyment but when no 7 came I couldn’t hold myself. Nice work man lol 😂
This is great, it never fails to put a smile on my face. I listened to it a dozen of times in this past few days. Would like to hear more from you, good work man! Bach on moog is sounds very enjoyable. Subscribed!
Not yet. I am working on remastering the full set but due to two harddisk crashes recently I have lost 1/4 of the original song files, so I can only master the existing mixes. I will post here, when I am ready for an upload at Bandcamp.
@sentimental7167 in the opening aria. Sounded to me as if (assuming a sequencer was used) there might have been errors in the programming or operation. Sometimes a bass note I was expecting would occur a bit late, etc.
Is your modular polyphonic?! Or did you record layers? I'm starting to think of not having a financial future and getting into modules and this video is definitely affecting my decision. Great job, why not doing all the Variations?! You should do them.
Jorge Hernández Jiménez-Smith - thanks, if you look further, I made all variations, took one year. No, I made different layers of single tracks, but these tracks usually were stereo, as you can hear from the panning, which was done by the Cwejman 2VCA. You can mix three signals, on left, one right and one which can be modulated via CV. Often also similar sounds are layered to get a more fat sound. Had upt to 16 + tracks to mix down...
Thanks for your interest! I am trying this year to get it mastered again and hopefully at the end of the year will be finally able to put it out to streaming platforms or on vinyl through my label or a different label. This unfortunately is a major work project….
Yann Guillermou - haha, should I be? Frankly, I like her Brandenburgische Konzerte, though conventional by now, many funny weird sounds if you listen carefully... I actually had a time when I was listening a lot to her Bach works, and when I started out with my modular I tried out with some „classical“ sixties sounds for this here for a learning experience. A great fan of the Goldberg variations, I wanted to do it myself (gave up on the idea of trying the Microcosmos). If you have listened to the final set you might have noticed that I (intentionally) drifted away a little from that... Thanks for dropping by!
Well, a person willing to permanently damage their body with hormone treatment and even go to the length (I'm not sure if Walt did) to mutilate their genitals is, at least, unnerving...
@@eldruidacosmico i was referring to her trying to take down content seemingly inspired by her work, but i guess she's too old for that shit now. also i don't care what people do with their genitals and neither should you.
Whole set of Goldberg Variations can be found here: ruclips.net/p/PLtasSbBbk9Kz5ghgqN8f7foxOHPrK4BFF
Throughout the years, I keep coming back to this! Greetings from Mexico :)
Gracias!🙏

Yes ! I agree : the Organ of the XXth century ...

Glad you enjoyed it! You really got me here, I have not so much passion for no. 7, so that’s the way I had to do it 👍
Incredible! Thanks for this interpretation.
Enjoyable version of the Goldberg Variations. Thanks for working on it and uploading.
Love the swirling ghost-in-the-machine noises.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is amazing. I've shown this to nearly everyone I know hahaha
Thank you, glad you like it, and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the nice response! Glad you like it! Panning was done through Cwejman VCA-2P and S&H, so sometimes a little out of control...
Very beautiful!
should do more videos like this.
this is absolutely genius
Gerardo Ortiz Mildare - thanks, glad you like it!
Great use of stereo field

TheMightyJesus - Thanks, glad you like it! One year work; so far no time for another one like this, sadly. Humor was part of my concept :)

Very nice! More please!
Pass Caglia Thanks! My original plan was Microcosmos/ Bartok, but that would have been a far too huge project...
Wonderful. Is this available for download anywhere?

HAL 9000 would have loved this!
Don’t know if you heard the rest, but I think Hal would’ve gone really crazy over the last set…😁
Something seems to have gone wrong with this realization further into the opening theme.
?
@sentimental7167 the notes (usually in the lower lines) I was hearing did not jibe with the sheet music I have, and sounded like mistakes.
@@youtuuba in the aria? Or the following pieces?

This was closer to the end of the aria; for most of its duration, that movement sounded fine to me.
Always better than Gould

I feel like I should be playing Legend of the Wizard or the very first Final Fantasy with this music
Like it a lot! THX!!!

I want it on Spotify

Sounds like the electrics parade
Interesting, never heard of that…
Great job! I love the Goldberg Variations. If you get a chance please check out my versions. Take care, Sam. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Machiwoomiapoo thx, same to you, glad you like it. You have some nice Roland versions, good work!
Are you not scared of Wendy Carlos???
