Years ago I've seen a test called "bezopen", a Dutch show. One of the people who joined it was Olivier Richters ( a 2.18m bodybuilder) and he drunk 2 beer and was tested and the test showed he had 0.02 promille. In other words, he could most likely have drunk a crate of beer (24 beer) and still be legally allowed to drive a car (which is technically allowed till 0.5 promille. So appearantly giants can handle alcohol a loooot better then normal people.

Andre suffered or in this case benefitted from not only his outside physical body being enlarged due to his gigantism/acromegaly but his organs as well. This allowed him to hold and process more alcohol than a average raging alcoholic. It also didn't hurt Andre perfected his craft through lots of practice.

Actually it was not just 117 beers it also included wine and liquor and most likely a cognac bourbon things like that so it was yeah definitely not just beer in fact it was quite a few stories of him drinking as many as 156 and then passing out in the hallway in the hotel I guess the manager asked the wrestlers to move them and they just said how you have a forklift well then he's going to be there when you get up in the morning and then they recommended he not wake up a sleeping giant that might be hungover
Adjusting the calculations to my body weight equivalent to the number of beers Andre the giant drank over that 9-10 hour challenge, it's the Andre the Giant challange. I want to take on this challenge one day, just adjusted to my proportions, should be a hell of a night. And Andre was a true American in his veins through and through.

I can drink. For every 1 beer someone drinks i can drink 3 beers to their 1 beer.
I only drink on an empty stomach. Every day. 15+. Vodka Every once in a day. Tolerance is lovely and unlovely. Still a functional drinker
