    This is one gorgeous painting - it's reminding me of a book I just read, _Remarkably Bright Creatures_ - the story is "narrated" by an octopus in a maritime museum.
    Thank you so much for the lesson. Be well.

    Australian Floetrol is an oil based paint extender and US floetrol is a latex paint extender. Mix 8 parts of US floetrol with one part penetrol and you have Australian Floetrol.

      Sorry, but Australian floetrol isn't oil based. It's an acrylic and latex paint additive. Can you please let me know why you think it's oil based? Thanks

    • @ArtyGal
      @ArtyGal Месяц назад +5

      It does actually work like Australian floetral when you add in Penetrol. I still buy Australian floetral because it is absolutely foolproof.
      There is some kind of wood conditioner in it that just works magic. I think Penetrol might have an ingredient similar to what they put in Australian floetral.
      I have also been able to get really good results with Amsterdam titanium white 1 part and 3 parts
      water. Amsterdam oxide black and water works too. I have even experimented with a dropper full of wood stain conditioner in American floetral and then added a little bit of Elmer's glue. It works

    TAMMY- Can you do a demonstration with "MIX" pouring medium? MIX PM is very, very thick. I would think that I could add some of the DecArt white satin enamel to the Mix PM and use it as a pillow.

    Hi Tammy, I just started following you and cannot wait to get started. I already have everything I need. I do have a question though - is your metallic liquid or mica? It does not say in the description and I can’t make it out just watching the video. I’d appreciate a response. By the way, you are an amazing teacher! Thanks.

    Us Floetrol is about £50 a litre in the UK with postage. That's about 10 times as expensive so I won't be using it.
