I really loved your video, and was awed with the gold leafing. Yes, I would love to hear from you with your tips and ideas about gold leafing. Thanks so much.
Thank you, Christine! I'm glad. I just finished editing a video on my exact gold leafing process. It shows everything and offers tips as well as the "how to". You can easily pick up some gold leaf and get started right away! I'll post the video tomorrow morning :)
Thank you for the request! I will consider making one that goes into depth on applying resin to these trays! The process is pretty much the same as in these two other videos of mine. Here is one in which I apply resin to the tops of my acrylic pours: ruclips.net/video/pA8pmNgyupA/видео.html This one covers safety gear as well and shows me using resin on coasters: ruclips.net/video/l5aXwUVwyaw/видео.html I follow the same steps for trays except that I use a torch to pop bubbles on the trays and a heat gun with the molds.

Oooohh, this is so beautiful!!! I always really enjoy watching your videos!! I would also enjoy seeing a video on how you apply the gold leaf and resin. I have a question for you, what other objects do you think would be good to do a paint pour on? Your videos are always so inspirational!! Thank you for posting this.
Thank you, dear! I will work on the gold leaf and resin videos eventually. Let me think. Vases or mugs would be cool to pour on! I've seen people even do clocks. Plain old canvas is my favorite. Do you have any other ideas?
Looks great. I want to try this, but apparently you can't tilt the paint off, so I suppose you have to be very careful how much to put on? How do you judge that?
That's such a great question. I do have answers! Use ArtResin's Circle Calculator (google it) to find out how many ounces to pour on. Before I found that tool I just learned by experimentation: use too little paint and I just had to add a bit more onto the pour. Use too much and it was just thicker and took longer to dry. Didn't ruin the painting, though. One great tip is to keep your paint on the thicker side for a flip cup pour. Thinner if you are blowing it out as in a dutch pour. Once I had done enough trays I can just eyeball how much paint is in the cup and I know it will cover just right. Have fun creating!
Hi, Karen! Aren't the colors fabulous? I love them, too. Deep violet, turquoise, periwinkle, purple, gold, light aqua, and magenta. Happy painting, I hope your creation turns out to be something you love!
Hi, Treesie! It depends how much you want the design to stretch, but I usually use at least 3/4 of a 9 oz. cup and that seems to cover a 15-18" tray pretty well.
Hi, Wendy! No silicone :) the paint does it by itself with the right consistency and a little use of the torch! See my video here on my paint recipe: ruclips.net/video/cjWj7NWaIEY/видео.html
Hello, Kelly Kuan from Taiwan! I used acrylic paint for the underlayer (colorful design). I mix my acrylic paints with water and floetrol. Hi, Jessica! It depends on the size and also whether it's a custom tray or done for an art show. Somewhere in the range of $80-$200 is what I've currently been selling these at. Thanks for watching!
