Itd be really funny if they established that kryptonian clothing design is made to show the male bulge, so clark has no choice but to get Ma kent to make him trunks every time he generates a new suit, as his kryptonian powers are incapable of imagining male fashion without proudly showing your size to everyone
@@themelon_1785 Because we are more civilized. Than again, we are also become more, ah...free, and the warming climate...clothing may become ever more...showy, in our future.
Something I noticed that was really interesting; when Clark is inside the Black Mercy and Braniac tricks him into thinking he's winning, instead of his eyes glowing blue to power up and defeat Braniac, his eyes glow Red, then he punches Braniac and Braniac disappears, then Clark goes to fake Krypton, having fully given in to the Black Mercy. It wasn't a cool power up moment; it was Braniac's final moment of breaking down his guard.
I actually REALLY like the shoulders spikes on Clark’s new suit. Not only does it represent him embracing his kyrptonian heritage, but it gives him a silhouette more akin to wearing knightly pauldrons. Like he’s a superhero paladin or something. Which to me is metal af
I think the version from the "Krypton" TV show might be my favorite. But the rest of that show sucked, so I think this is the best one in a show that's actually worth watching.
I personally disagree, since both episode 6 and 8 are really big story episodes with big moments, like Kara finding out she's genocided multiple planets, and Brainiac taking over Clark's body, it makes sense to have a breather episode in-between them while also still progressing the story at the same time.
@@romanfischer7307 I agree. Most shows do this when there's an on-going, multi-ep story-arc being told. It's like, "This is what everyone else was doing while you were gone" type thing. IMO, the "Olsen's Eleven" episode added more context to the overall arc.
Honestly, I loved how Lois was like "Wait, you can't get rid of me, and I can be hell of alot more annoying." Obviously she doesn't say that, but that was funny. I also just loved how it's Steve Lombard who gets Kara to step up, and helps her. I love this take on Kara. Like, it's awesome. And I love the new suit, I don't like the shoulder look lol, but episode 9 was such an amazing episode. This series is awesome and while there's some issues, I do love it overall.
13:50 Did they though? It feels like like they completely got their shit wrecked by Brainiac and their robots were easily getting overwhelmed before they got hacked.
well they TRIED lol, he didn’t say they succeeded just that their intentions were as stated: do everything to protect earth. It just happens that the us military is not more powerful than an ancient ai running a fleet of death drones
It's what made me fall in love with Superman again since I was a child. Even though I like Men of Steel as a movie, it doesn't really make you like Superman and the rest of the DCEU is a disservice to the character (mostly because it's so boring)
Remember that trunks were something that Martha added. The original suit also didn't have them at first. It makes sense that Kryptonian technology would not make trunks
I think the idea regarding the E6/E7 order was to leave the week-long question of "how the fuck did this crew just teleport into space at this location?" because if you do it the reversed way, you're kind of ending two episodes the same way but a bit less connected. That said, as someone who really liked Livewire and the voice acting behind her in S1---I feel like her redesign set the tone for what the series was going to be trying to do---I greatly enjoyed E7 fleshing her out, and not as much "redeeming" her---she WAS going to potentially bail on two people after taking $2.5 MILLION from one of them and mainly took the job to also fuck with the people who kidnapped her and her new mate---but more refocusing her as more an antihero mercenary who probably can stop now.
episode 7 was placed at the end of pride month (if im not mistaken) with the message of “love is not for cowards” so either they planned on putting it like that from the start or they switched it last minute, either way it is still good imo
The second half of this season had been the best of season 2. Olsen's Eleven was the least favourite, but still was a good episode. I'm excited for the finale and looking forward to season 3.
This season has truly surprised me and I especially loved episodes 5-9 (though episode 7 was okay). I really like what this shows does with Brainiac as the overarching villain as Michael Emerson truly does a fantastic job in the role and might be my favourite voice for Brainiac (especially since Corey Burton from the DCAU was and still is high on my list). I really love the idea of Brainiac raising Kara to make her believe he's her father as it's twist on the comics but still adds layers to Kara's character and gives her all the more of a compelling character arc. I also really like Brainiac being all the more of a psychological menace, twisting and manipulating Kara and Clarks mind, making him all the more of a devious, and personal threat, especially when Brainiac takes over Clark's body (btw that Brainiac Superman design looks sick asf). That moment of Clark and Lois breaking out of Brainiac's control of the Black Mercy was such a cute/epic scene, albeit kinda corny at times it's still tons of fun and one of the most anime moments of the show and I truly loved the music at the moment too. Excited for the finale this week😁
I remember when the original artist showed the concept there was a discussion about why the darker design with the shower pad was even considered, well now we know that it got that far 'cause it was gonna be used. I'm generally not a fan, but the new golden logo, brought a good contrast (and brings a bit more of the Kryptonian side, again, not my vibe but not bad). Now about the brainiac color scheme I like specially 'cause this brainiac brings a lot of Zod traits (especially the whole focus on military krypton and the "They will kneel")
I do hope that some more heroes get introduced in season 3. I get not wanting to go to big ones like Batman right away, but I think there's a good opportunity to introduce the Hawks and Green Arrow. I could also see Hal Jordan and John Stewart introduced as being part of the military.
Livewire wasn't really redeemed, IMO she just kinda followed through on being Lawful Evil, she did her little side robbery and then went back to fulfil the multi-million dollar deal she'd made lol. And also fuck up some army assholes who'd personally kidnapped and tortured her. So definitely not outside of the reach of realism for her existing character. There is a slight spark of humanity there, but also plenty of reason for the rest of her character to also make that decision.
I think at least for me episodes 8 and 9 have been a 9.5/10 they are really good and the second half of this season is on par with some of the best episodes in Superman TAS. The only thing I really wanted to see in this latest episode was Supergirl getting her blue suit but I guess that will happen in the season final as they did tease that suit in the trailer for the season. But I wonder what they will do for season 3, I think they will probably introduce the GL corps, Hawkgirl and Hawkman and maybe as tease at the end Darkseid. Overall this is a great series and I think they should try and expand it with more heroes like My adventures with Wonder Woman and like My adventures with the Teen Titans as an example.
I have to say the new suit he gets this episode isn't bad but yeah I like the structure of his first suit but with the yellow outlines it might look better, maybe they will keep this suit but add the trunks kind of like in season 1 where Martha made them as an addition, we might see a scene where Clark does the same thing.
Overall, the latter half of season 2 of My Adventures with Superman was great so far, and I can't wait for the season finale. I love that despite having a bad first meeting, Clark and Kara quickly form a strong familial bond. Clark even influenced Kara to actually figure things out for herself. While the Jimmy and Lois episode being placed before the Clark and Kara episode would have worked better, I don't think that I would have been able to handle waiting 2 weeks to find out what happened to Clark. Brainiac was definitely a great villain, and how he broke Clark while he was emotionally vulnerable was both cunning and cruel. I'm glad that Lois is ultimately the one who saved Clark through her love for him, but I felt that the pacing was too quick and the relationship issues that Clark and Lois had were resolved too quickly. I also like how Kara was at a low point due to being defeated and discarded by Brainiac previously, but she gets inspired on her path to being a hero by Jimmy Olsen and surprisingly Steve Lombard. I like that Kara chose to fight Brainiac to protect Earth, despite failing before and how Brainiac used her to destroy worlds. I was also glad that Amanda Waller and Lex Luthor's efforts amounted to nothing in the end and only ended up aiding Brainiac because their way of doing things was just morally wrong. I can't wait for the season finale and I hope that Superman and Kara can save the Earth from Brainiac. I like Superman's new suit, but I hope that the red trunks are added back to it later.
I personally thought this second half of season 2 has been better especially with the supergirl stuff and Brainiac has been good but the only episodes i didn't like about this second half was olsen eleven which felt so unnecessary and not important to the grand scheme of things but the episodes with superman aka Clark Kent & supergirl, and the episode of Clark Kent and Lois lane breaking out of the illusion was really awesome and badass and plus the music was amazing, and I am very excited on how this season is going to wrap everything up in a tight little bow but that's just my opinion.
Are you by any chance excited for Caped Crusader? I'm interested in it but I think that dropping all ten episodes at once is a mistake. That type of release window is terrible for audience engagement. When shows drop all their episodes at once the show won't be marketed as well and will most likely be popular only for a week or two, just look at the recent Fallout show for example. Week to week episode releases are always smarter.
I think a lot of people will watch and some people do like to just binge all the episodes at ounce so i guess that is good but you are right it is better to have a episode every week because I remember Fallout and Knuckles both dropped all of their episodes at ounce and sure they were talked about a good couple of weeks but then the hype just died down, but Batman is a lot more popular and if they are dropping all of them at ounce it might mean they have started working on season 2, but what do I know I just want to see every character design because some of them are very interesting and some I don't like
Man …I haven’t seen it in a while but ..I can’t believe Superman and Lois broke up 💔this is my favorite version of them especially as a couple ❤ hope in the new episode they repair it ..😢
So it looks like Kara’s suits gonna have a scarf or something similar to it as her cape and I do like that concept as it’s unique tho I do like the cw’s version of it
There's alot of nitpicks in this video about the season. But you gotta remember bruh. That this is a different take on Superman. So be patient and give it a chance bruh.
I'll say now for everyone who despise Brainiac design in this season: Brainiac will survive and next time we'll see him he's gonna have his classic design (and the skull ship)
And one more thing, brainiac,s most common colors aren't purple or green. It's the more red and robotics that have shown up in almost any variant of brainiac. Sure it would be nice to see those other forms, but that's just asking for what we've gotten again and again. Its just a character design.
I like Clark’s new suit and kara should have gotten one the same time Clark got his. Hope they don’t end at 2 seasons. THIS SHOW IS A GEM. I’m hoping for more marvel characters. And a justice league.
I think the new looks good, it's more Kryptonian and like the shoulder guards with it. I don't mind the lack of trunks, maybe Ma Kent might give him another one who knows.
Yeah in my opinion episodes 3 , 4 and 7 are the weakest episodes this season but episodes 1 , 2, 5 , 6 , 8 and 9 are the great awesome episodes and I'm sure episode 10 will be another banger so still more hits than misses this season.
I really love this show and this version of Superman but to be honest I can't help it but I want to see this version of Superman face off against and team up with this universe's version of Bruce Wayne/Batman in season 3 I just want to see Batman and Gotham in this universe and I want to see them build out this universe more to the point where we see this Superman form and team up with this universe's Justice League!
Listen I get wanting comic accuracy but this take on Superman is clearly trying to be is own thing, let it try out different designs and different takes on classic concepts without expecting it conform to the comics.
Sheeple in a nutshell: ZS MoS: Boo superman is so different. My Adventures with superman: yayyyy who cares if supes is entirely rewritten as some power ranger
it's fine if the changes in heat wave's character and her relationship with livewire didn't seem that relevant to you, but i've seen posts about it and people loved it (as did i)
I know a lot of people are hating on Lois for being a "toxic" character but at the same time... she's still a character. She's not perfect. Just as Clark has his insecurities, so does Lois. I like that there are points when she admits that she was wrong and that she is sorry. I don't care about how much a character messes up. What matters to me is how much effort they put in to bounce back. Lois may have broken Clark's heart. But it was still her decision to take that ship, fly through space and save him. I adore how this show portrays Clark's love for Lois. It isn't just love. It's legit adoration. Clark may be a superhero, but Lois is HIS superhero. And that's beautiful.
I Wonder What they are Going To Do With Kara?. my personal hope she lives with Lois (she owns Clark and Jaime because of the Sam thing) at least until season 3
i dont really think changing 'heat wave maters all that much, though i tilt my head at them taking away heatwave from flash and mking heath wave a superman villian. when you could have used i belive her name was Vocaina from the DCAU superman show as i dont think she ever really cought on and thus didnt really have any lore or fanbase. so this could have being good opportunity to give her another go at the wheel. but then they also gave this super man brain and the monkey (i cant spell his name) whom are normaly legion of doom villians. and i dont recall anyone complianing about that
Knowing how she’s retired alongside Livewire, I get the feeling this will be a prelude to the appearance of a more comic accurate Heatwave in a Flash show. Livewire did say her last name is Rory but not the first name.
I never really liked the outside underwear look and it makes sense for a superhero to be wearing shoulder and knee pads so I give the new suit a thumbs up
This Brainiac reminds me of mendicant bias from halo lore, defense ai built to serve and protect its empire only to rationalize that in the worst possible way.
If brianic in clarks body was fully green over the krptonite that would be so cool and would be a great desgin for him eveb not in clarks body snd since when is krpotnite white bro also i didn't eveb releise that the matalos didn't have the krptonite core
To me ep 9 was the weakest it was still good its just we could've finally seen this universes Krypton firsthand and really met Clarks parents. Also i highly doubt his new suit is gonna be the new permanent version the exit you showed would really be the best as it would combine the vest if vith worlds.
I love this part of the season. NGL the first half had me worried, but they turned it right around. My only complaint is the designs are still mid to bad, the worst offender being them making Brainiac another robot, and Olsen’s Eleven, while a good episode, completely ruined the pace of the season.
I like the first season and half of the second season, but I have some issues. Some of the more recent episodes are really cliche in a boring way, I don’t mind homage to heist movies or magical girl transformations, but sometimes I feel like I’m watching a bargain bin anime. It’s probably really cool for people who’ve never been exposed to superman or anime media, but as someone who’s decently versed in both it can feel meh sometimes. Changes like having the villains be transformed by Kryptonian tech is cool on paper, but the show doesn’t really execute it well. DC is also really pushing task force x and waller which gets played out quickly. There’s too many side characters imo who do nothing but crowd up the background and foreground. It feels like a lot of stuff that makes superman stand out gets trimmed out to make it more accessible to general audiences and I find that it takes away from the mythos and environment. I don’t care about whether or not livewire and heat wave are gay, but it came out of nowhere and went nowhere (side note: why is heat wave here and not volcana? They both are almost exactly the same unless later on heat wave changes her name to volcana? That would be dumb I think). Overall I’ll probably still watch the show it’s not as bad as it could be, but it’s also not as great as it should be imo.

I'll watch this show eventually
You're missing out man
Do it brooooo
Espero que en la siguiente temporada aparezcan bizarro mongul cyborg superman lobo y manchester black
Sheeple in a nutshell:
ZS MoS: Boo superman is so different.
My Adventures with superman: yayyyy who cares if supes is entirely rewritten as some power ranger
Let me guess, you never watched the show
MAWS, Superman is a hero.
That's the difference.
I NEED HIM TO PUT THE TRUNKS BACK ON ;-;
HELL YEAH! It's so good!
it's fine if the changes in heat wave's character and her relationship with livewire didn't seem that relevant to you, but i've seen posts about it and people loved it (as did i)
green & purple probably would have matched Lex too well in terms of colour scheme for brainiac
the thing about brainiac is how believable of a manipulator he is. if i was superman,, id be manipulated too tbh
Note: “corps” is pronounced like “core”
Going to be honest, they were probably saving the best animation for the more meaningful scenes.
3:11 if braniac is Kryptonian there is no reason to be green only if coluan
So they made Brainiac look like Oryx The Taken King. Interesting...choice, that.
And that's beautiful.
superbraniacs costume is so gd attractive i live for it
I Wonder What they are Going To Do With Kara?. my personal hope she lives with Lois (she owns Clark and Jaime because of the Sam thing) at least until season 3
i dont really think changing 'heat wave maters all that much, though i tilt my head at them taking away heatwave from flash and mking heath wave a superman villian. when you could have used i belive her name was Vocaina from the DCAU superman show as i dont think she ever really cought on and thus didnt really have any lore or fanbase. so this could have being good opportunity to give her another go at the wheel. but then they also gave this super man brain and the monkey (i cant spell his name) whom are normaly legion of doom villians. and i dont recall anyone complianing about that
I like lesbian Heatwave, I just wish she was also a Flash villain
Knowing how she’s retired alongside Livewire, I get the feeling this will be a prelude to the appearance of a more comic accurate Heatwave in a Flash show. Livewire did say her last name is Rory but not the first name.
I very much agree
I never really liked the outside underwear look and it makes sense for a superhero to be wearing shoulder and knee pads so I give the new suit a thumbs up
I loved it
I think you mean every other episode
I don't know why does brainiac take off Superman shoes, does brainiac have a foot fetish?
the new suit is what the James gunn superman suit would have been
So far I enjoyed the show but they need to improve the character designs.
I love this part of the season. NGL the first half had me worried, but they turned it right around. My only complaint is the designs are still mid to bad, the worst offender being them making Brainiac another robot, and Olsen’s Eleven, while a good episode, completely ruined the pace of the season.
I'm still not a fan of the overall animation.
They really shit on deathsroke in this series its so annoying seeing a young emo version of slade.
Sooooo they're basically viltrumites......nice
This has to be one of the stupidest comments ive ever read ever
@@hilosmilos1745 invincible has done a horrible reputation to superhero media with how any powerful race of aliens that's humanoid is automatically dubbed as viltrumite lite
I would love this show but I just think his villains are way too played up in reality Clark would wash 98 % of them real quick
this season was mad corny
They removed the panties yessss
They made his costume boring AF.
Getting rid of the trunks is a BAD thing.
@@tylerleach8796 Exactly. Aside from anything else the costume needs something to break it up else it's just blue.
It doesn't get better it gets weird because this isn't Superman like I don't know what to tell y'all like it might be amazing but it's not Superman. This isn't a Superman show and we need to stop lying and telling people it is
Yes. Yes it is Superman.
Ewww grifter
"New bad old good, updoots to the left my fellow redditors"-ahh opinion
This show is amazing, love what they did with Kara and Kara and Jimmy. Loved the new suit Superman and Supergirl get at the end, looks much cooler than his original with the trunks. Can't wait for season 3.
I loved the episode but that suit is not it bro like why does he have shoulder pads and that ugly yellow
I Martha puts trunks on it since that is what happend with he's normal suit and thoes shoulder pads are just removed and mabey make the yellow a bite brighter
Wow! I am hating that new suit. The boots, the shoulder points. Too much yellow on the around the s. Mostly the pointy shoulder pads.
Yeah I started watching season 1, than the episode with the gorilla, and robot happened. That was one of the most disgusting things I've seen. 😂
Well now's the show is woker than ever ...
…are you trolling or is this just genuine stupidity?
I hate what they did to lex Luthor. Turned bro into an anime nerd 🤓
why superman don't have a decent animation series?batman cape crusader is awesome while this show looks like anime shit garbage.
He does. It’s this series. Try watching it
Worst Superman show ever created
If anything, that speaks about how Superman has never had a bad show…including this one.
