Omg, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, is in my July TBR and I'm so excited to read it. It makes me so happy that it's your best read so far ☺️✨ Edit: So I read Tomorrow ×3 and I just have to say that it put me on a phenomenal journey that I will never forget. It's one of the best books I've ever read and I'm so grateful that I came across it!
I read 50 books so far this year. Here are some of my favorite books I’ve read: WHAT MY BONES KNOW by Stephanie Foo (memoir, thank you for this rec!) LUNAR LOVE by Lauren Kung Jessen (Adult rom-com) WALDEN by Amy Berryman (published play) GHOST MUSIC by An Yu (Adult literary fiction/magical realism) TOMORROW AND TOMORROW AND TOMORROW by Gabrielle Zevin (Adult literary fiction) DELICIOUS MONSTERS by Liselle Sambury (YA horror/thriller) THE SEARCH FOR US by Susan Azim Boyer (YA contemporary) WHERE YOU SEE YOURSELF by Claire Forrest (YA contemporary) IF TOMORROW DOESN’T COME by Jen St Jude (YA speculative) LOVE LETTERS FOR JOY by Melissa See (YA contemporary romance) OUT OF CHARACTER by Jenna Miller (YA contemporary romance) DISORIENTATION by Elaine Hsieh Chou (Adult lit fic/satire-thank you for the rec!) THOSE WE DROWN by Amy Goldsmith (YA horror)
The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida was one of my last years favorite books. It hit close to literal home, because the situation in Sri Lanka reminded me of my home country, that I had to flee from because of it (I'm Bosniak). It's also in second person and the reason why is even explained. All in all the book is infomative, well written and the charakters are multi-layered (Jaki ❤). P.S. I'm with you with the crush on Montgomery.
Read the World We Make this year! So far my fav book of 2023! Love it as much as the first one!! I'm a huge fan of N.K . Jemisin's writing and the amount of creativity and ingenuity that she conveys through her story, the sequel was no different! More character development for all of the main characters (they had more equal page time for all the MC and R) + the antagonist, managed to flesh them out even more and make them feel more real and human (which I didn't think at first possible). Personally I gave it 10/10. Alsooo planning to add Tomorrow 3x to the top of my tbr after your review! So excited! 🥰🥰
I finally read Kaikeyi this year and it’s definitely my favorite so far!! Also very excited to pick up A Psalm of Storms and Silence because I loved the first book so much. Currently reading Warrior Girl Unearthed and would highly recommend:)
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow is my top read so far as well...but it is tied with Alone with You in the Ether! Both are beautiful character driven novels
Unfortunately I agree with you regarding Happy Place. I've only just discovered Emily Henry in the last 6 months so was excited to get into Happy Place. It wasn't terrible, just not as good as Book Lovers etc. for me. I also loved Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow and have The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida on my TBR.
My favorite book so far for 2023 is jurassic park I love the movies and i had the book for a long time in dutch but i like reading in english more So i got back into reading this year and started with that book and i am loving reading again Thanks for the rec of tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow i will be picking it up ❤
Your video was so on point! I loved Happy Place but had really low expectations since I didn’t like Book Lovers at all and haven’t read her other books 😂 In the Dreamhouse was amazing. Queen Charlotte (the show) had me by an absolutely chokehold!! I just started Before I Let Go and like it so far.
I personally thought The World We Make was not as strong as The City We Became (which was my favorite read of last year), but I still had such a fun time being back in N. K. Jemisin’s writing and creative world. I have also discovered a new love of literary satire! I ate up Disorientation and of course loved Yellowface this year.
Since you asked: I read The World We Make and The Atlas Paradox and I really enjoyed them both but now I can’t wait for the third book in the atlas series because I’m still thinking about what happened in The Atlas Paradox.
I also read In the Dream House and it is among one of the best books I've read this year. Also there is a book called The Archaeology of Loss which is on my TBR and I added it because I was intrigued by the synopsis, so you could check that out if you're interested.
the world we make was definitely disappointing for me. it felt super rushed and was nowhere near as strong as the first one. I enjoyed seeing more of the character interactions, but it's just not as good as the first
Favorite book so far: the giver of stars by JoJo Moyes Biggest disappointment: really sorry to say, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. I may have commented this previously when you talked about reading it, but the tone was just too sad for me. Beautiful writing and I totally understand why many people love it! Biggest surprise: Beach read. For some reason I thought I wouldn’t like it, and I ended up giving it five stars.
Here's my best books so far What my bones know by Stephenie foo memoir Reminders of him by colleen Hoover Any man by amber tamblyn I have the right to by chessy prout memoir Spare prince harry's memoir Someday maybe Heart bones by colleen Hoover Delilah green doesn't care The fiance farce by Alexandria bellefleur
I used to read a lot but I have adhd and a very messed up dopamine receptor so it’s hard for me to focus on a book. If anyone has good book recommendations that will keep my attention span I would greatly appreciate it :) I like fantasy but I’ll read anything except horror
My favorite book of 2023 so far is probably Hell Followed With Us by Andrew Jospeh White (though it's so hard to pick!) As a trans person, I loved the portrayal of transness in this one, and it's really stuck with me. My least favorite is hands down Aphrodite Made Me Do It, which was a terrible poetry collection that I honestly don't think counts as poetry. Poorly written, and the poems were so short and spaced out that there was barely any content despite the book being 200+ pages. I haven't read any of the books you talked about yet, but I'm hoping to get to Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by the end of the summer!
I love your videos, but I do not love all of the jump cuts your new editor is making. Way too many and the result is too choppy for me; I wish they would use a lighter hand.
As I have told all the Booktubers I follow, I’m having a Mid-Year Freakout.
My most anticipated books of this year are 1. Holly by Stephen king it comes out in September
2. Kerry Washington memoir

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love your energy and just how you speak and explain everything.
I 💓 that there's background music in your video. 🙌🏽🎵
I’ve recently found you for booktube purposes but girl your eyeshadow matching your top is 👌
My favorite book of the year so far was the house in the cerulean sea! I just loved the cozy vibes.

Dating Dr. Dil was one of my stop 5 books of last year. The next in the series comes out in August!!

The Seven Moons is sooo good! So different than anything I’ve read before.

I have also discovered a new love of literary satire! I ate up Disorientation and of course loved Yellowface this year.
I finished Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren in June and I loved it!
Family Lore by Elizabeth Acevedo seems like a release you’ll like 💜 Let me know if you look into it!
Thanks for tha video

You are such a stunning human being❤
Yess yessssss! I WAS WAITING FOR IT!
Loved this video!!! ❤❤

Before I Let Go was an excellent read for me.
I think you‘d really enjoy Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gónzaléz
THE HURRICANE WARS BY THEA GUANZON COMING OUT IN OCTOBER
Yes I still need to read atlas six/atlas paradox!!!
Best book Olga Dies Dreaming.....cant say a worst book as the generally end up as DNFs
I really need to read Olga dies dreaming
I used to read a lot but I have adhd and a very messed up dopamine receptor so it’s hard for me to focus on a book. If anyone has good book recommendations that will keep my attention span I would greatly appreciate it :)

Hello!!☺
Where do I find your book club?:)
My favorite book of 2023 so far is probably Hell Followed With Us by Andrew Jospeh White (though it's so hard to pick!) Hellbent is definitely better than ninth house

Same, this was tough. It's really hard to watch when there's a cut dozens of times in the same sentence.
Dating Dr. Dil❤

Also- first and second comment! Yayyy!
Tomorrow and tomorrow is overrated in my opinion, is good but not amazing
