After following the market closely for a while now, i have seen that with almost every major drop in btc, there seems to be one coin (seemingly at random) that everyone jumps on board which moves opposite to the market cap as people seek sanctuary in said coin. I find myself wondering if it would be a good idea to do the same thing with my bitcoin to effectively short bitcoin by buying into the pair while bitcoin plummets. Do you have any experience or advice for this sort of thing? Mainly, Is this a good idea at all as these moments seem to react far more violently than normal market movement, is there an effective method which would be appropriate to identify if its too late to jump on board? Perhaps a video :)
