the best way to learn is to go straight at a ledge then as you get more confident decrease the angle each time - worked for me and im still learning them
your voice is so reassuring! I got thissss I'm doing these little baby ones where my board slips off the ledge but I stay on and "land" and ride away. Gotta get outta the tap zone and sliiiide into the FS tailslides DMs
One important thing that makes the slide easier is to have shoulders turned 90 degrees sooner than later. This is shown in 0:03 mark. The shoulders are already rotated during the pop.
I find noseslides just go whether its waxed or not you can always get a little slide but a tail slide you really can just stop or slide off so much easier consistency is my problem
Great video. I'm quite interested in how that box was built. Particularly, how the angle iron was attached onto the concrete blocks. Just wet cement and let it dry?
Out of all the tricks I do front side tail slides, I roll my ankle the most on these! Lol I love doing them and the feeling of sliding really long.I need to skate again. lol I’m more of a back T SLIDE TYPE OF GUY.
FS tail slides on fun boxes are the worst trick for busting your back up. The tail slides out, I have seen so many people injured from this simple trick and it's exactly for the reasons this man describes.
Maybe this will help me to learn 180s properly, I mean I can do them but not as nicely and leveled as I'd like them to be. I'm more of a BS guy but working on my fs tricks
That is how the internet works. Then once you're done with things that are actually worthwhile, the internet is like "o dear John doesn't like me anymore, I'll enrage him with some things that I've discovered easily enrage other people like him, based on his interests. Then he will abandon his real life relationships and we'll be together FOREVER". Also, truck choice and wheel diameter are big factors - easiest slide is when the base of the truck protrudes further than the wheels, preventing wheelbite against the ledge.
i dont know whats wrong with my tail slides i lock into them but then it just dosent slide it just stops and kicks me out of the ledge i use to slide them but idk what happened i just suddenly started landing tails slides without sliding
I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but unless this is happening to you at skateparks, you probably just need more wax. I always find it surprising how much you need for street spots.
I find the timing is very essential with tail/noseslides. When to transfer your weight at the right time determines your lock in.
One of the pioneers on youtube in educating skaters with blow by blow breaking tips for a proper attack on tricks, tnx man
Glad to see ur still making vids.. uve helped me throughout the years no cap
🧢
Pressure on the ball of the foot is a crucial point. Helpful, thank you!
The advice about keeping the toes hanging off on the front foot really made it click, thanks man really appreciate it
Dude you’re the best! You’ve inspired me so much and I’ve progressed so fast with all of your tips, thank you!
the best way to learn is to go straight at a ledge then as you get more confident decrease the angle each time - worked for me and im still learning them
Thats how I did it with all those nose/tail slides. You wont bail and actually understand it better
I swear everytime i start learning a new trick you upload a video on said trick
your voice is so reassuring! I got thissss I'm doing these little baby ones where my board slips off the ledge but I stay on and "land" and ride away. Gotta get outta the tap zone and sliiiide into the FS tailslides DMs

Not getting fully on ledge is my problem this is definitely gonna help my growth be lookin for a how video appreciate it
Just learn a straight 180 to tail on a curb. Then decrease the angle and you will get it fast
Thanks bro
Think 5-0, but just get that 90 rotation in there as well. That's what tailslides feel like to me at least
I find noseslides just go whether its waxed or not you can always get a little slide but a tail slide you really can just stop or slide off so much easier consistency is my problem
I also think you can't be scared to pop close to the ledge. 6:14 for example you popped very close and that one locked right in
I’ve been having so much trouble with this trick so I can’t wait to try it tomorrow!!! Thank you
This channel is so underrated.
The trick on a constant loop from different angles really helps mush🤙🏻 thanks
Thanks for the vid.i can't skate I've the board here in 37 I think I'm too old to skate.
Great vid it's really well done and appreciated 👍
I always stop the tailslide with my toes. Thanks for the tip bro. And with bs tails, the toes actually help with that. It is weird haha
Revisit frontside flips!
Maybe advanced tips for frontside flips?
Great video. I'm quite interested in how that box was built. Particularly, how the angle iron was attached onto the concrete blocks. Just wet cement and let it dry?
You can use sikaflex brand name or seal and flex if you’re in Australia .
that shit sticks absolutely anything ,
I used to be a carpenter
Or ultra set
Can you do a video on how to manage the timing doing fakie tricks down gaps/obstacles?
pop further before the gap than you normally would regular. You need more space
The toe tip really helped me so much, Thank you!
Love these refresher videos
Out of all the tricks I do front side tail slides, I roll my ankle the most on these! Lol I love doing them and the feeling of sliding really long.I need to skate again. lol I’m more of a back T SLIDE TYPE OF GUY.
needed this one. I can't seem to get them to slide long enough to think about flipping out.
Absoluter OG im Game. Greetings from Germany!
Can you do a video on how to grind rails in general, tips for getting over fears, etc ?
Great tips man, i usually forget to transfer my weight at the right time... good to see the slowmo :) thx!
nose manual or kick flip into a grind would be awesome, love your videos
I had in some way that slide but most of the time I touched with the shoues the slade and stopped it...
Right now it seems like I can only do them by Ollie over the ledge but it slides too fast

Thank for this vid man, perfect timing
i havent skated for 3 weeks. i was stuck at this fs noseslide after learning bs noseslides.. wish me luck
where’s this spot ik it’s in sa🙏🏽
1570 Camaron St
thank you . please do a hardflip refresher.
Can you make a video on switch 360 flip plz
Although I can do them in a number of tries, I always have the issue of getting on a very crooked 5-0 instead of landing on just the tail.
Same I get that a lot too
Try swinging your shoulders just a bit harder?
Sounds like a cool trick if you land it
You should actually overturn it a little. If you underturn, your wheel will stop you from sliding
I’ll keep that in mind. I find turning frontside so awkward. I got back tails all day but the frontside turning is something else
Awesome vid .
you re so meticulous man, love it
Maybe this will help me to learn 180s properly, I mean I can do them but not as nicely and leveled as I'd like them to be. I'm more of a BS guy but working on my fs tricks
very nice thanks you 🤝🤝
Great job
Thanks G
A video of how to fs tailslide on ramp please
Solid bro
i'm waiting for my rub brick come this christmas and practice slide and grind the curb ^^
i lock in everytime but it stops me! i know it slides because i can noseslide fs and bs and switch.
Wax tf out of it!
@@Dyl_Cam then the tail slips out from under me
I have the same problem. I stand on my toes too much probably. But when I put my weight on the heel more, it stops it too haha
i have the same problem i use to slide them but then i randomly just started landing them without sliding
Do fs crook or bs tail next
he already did for fs crooked at least
please do one for fs boardslides and fs nose slides
Dan Corrigan did a great tutorial on fs nose. He actually cheats it a little with his heel
was just working on these today, thank you for this. i think im just scared though and need to commit lol
DIY san antonio spot B) very cool
First thanks
danm i just started trying tailslides yesterday fr
5 points!
bro flip fs tail tutorial!
I swear someone is watching me, I've been trying this trick recently and watched your older vid about it.

I’m finna bust it out tomorrow on my flatbar
kick flip tail pls
Hopefully this will help after watching the 4th time
Loveu
I swear these are easier switch
