I have an automatic and although sometimes I regret not getting a manual at the time, it’s still been fun to drive. Especially since it’s a daily driver.
Tbh I am happy with the automatic, considering I have a manual Jetta GLI.The car will reward spirited driving regardless and the community is mostly cool. We have 8 in my town 4 of them (including mine) are modified, I’m the only modified NA, and even then it’s still a stupid fun car.
Just picked one up yesterday automatic but it’s fun to drive for me I would prefer manual but it’s a four door Supra or could be with some investment which I plan on doing love the car and plan on building it soon plan on doing a full detail video of the car it does need paint correction which will be documented as well
Nice! I’ll keep an eye out for you videos! Fun face, the IS is lighter than a mk4 Supra so there’s that! But yes the car is much much more enjoyable to drive now that it is manual, highly recommended swapping it
bruh me too! I just copped an auto is300 last week, it is fun man. My hot hatch is like my kinda gnarly rally car and the auto feels like a classy GT car with those paddle shifters
I have buyers regret of not finding a manual in the first place haha, without any tools, lift, life is a lot harder. Yeah I thought it was easy, I watched VT Bobby’s video and he made it look so easy, but he had all tools on hand which I do not, I found a IS300 in Kansas 5 speed at 105k miles with a blown head gasket for 2500, I’m really planning my trip out next month. What are my plans for my current automatic is300, I may sell it tbh since there isn’t a need for two cars unless it’s a daily and a project
That’s a good plan honestly, nothing beats manual from the factory. I’m stubborn and don’t want to get rid of mine since I’ve giving up on 3 is300s already haha
great video! if you did a budget build for 300 to 350 horsepower what tuning would you use or would you use a manuel boost controller and just run off of wastegate?
If I had the money I would go for a LINK or AEM stand alone. But being that I do have an Apexi AFC NEO piggyback sitting in my room I'll just end up using that to get it run okish and run off of wastegate
@@jasonlazo5016 ya that link panic standalone looks great and fits in the same spot as the factory ecu but for 1700 my boss won't go for that. What do you think of the emanage ultimate for 300 to 350 horsepower?

Why not put up with it for a while, save up the money and get a Supra? It's a bit more, but then you don't have to worry about converting it to manual, unless you need 4 doors.
IS300 = 3,500 auto MK4 Supra = 20,000 auto I wish I could get myself into a supra lol 4 doors arent necessary right now, I just wanted something with a jz motor that I can toss around at corners once in a whlie. The sc300 seem like boats to me so yeah

Sick video bro. Thanks.
I have to smack my gear tree to get it to light up too 😂😂 when u said that I started dying
Exhaust and where can I get that in Virginia?
Hey man where did u get that steering wheel cover thing or whatever? Look good!
It’s just the factory steering wheel wrapped in suede, you can get it at any hobby shop like joanns, hobby lobby, etc.
I'm 28 and have always owned manual hot hatches. I'm actually considering an is200 auto, its too much in traffic with the manual

I dont get how to use the gear shifter in the auto dont make sense
Do you know how to replace the shifter bulb when it goes out?
If it's not a sequential i dont want manual an automatic has tons of benefits still no clutch kicking lol
autos are stronger then the manuals if u have mods in mind also some years dont have lsd after 2002
Gear ratios are different , manuals are shorter geared making it easier to climb up in the rpms
