Hi! I'm watching your videos for a year now and I've become quite good in doing hairstyles. Before I start watching your channel, I couldn't even make a regular braid! The first videos I watched was Game Of Thrones hairstyles and I think you do the best tutorials! I, also, appreciate the fact you don't use hair extentions or many hair products because in this way you make it look easy for anyone to do it! Your videos have helped me A LOT, thank you so much and I wish you good luck in everything you do! :)
I just started learning too. Anytips on how to get better at 4, 5 strand braids? I get the concept but mine are never neat and have twists every now and then.
iashrai hi! I don't often do four or five strand braids, to be honest. But, a good tip that usually works is to braid on slightly wet hair so that the braids are neat. You can also try to tighten them after every movement. There's also a video by Silvouplaits called: 'How to have smooth braids and reduce braid shred' that it might help you :) I hope I helped and good luck with your hairstyles!
I could barely do a french braid before I started watching this channel, everything is explained brilliantly!
Same here! Before I started watching silvousplaits, I could barely manage my hair. I couldn’t part my hair. I could only do a very bad English braid. Every strand had frizz and split ends. Now I’m actually taking care of my hair!
I wish my hair was long enough to do these!! These braids look so gorgeous in your hair!!
Oh she does some times use extension she has used them in torvi hair vid
Can't wait to show up to school with my badass Viking hairstyles lol
You really inspire me! I tried a lot of vikings braids till now thanks to your great tutorials. I always had a long hair but all that I usually did is english braid or french braid, but you showed how even this simple style of braids work wonder if properly combined with laced ones or ropes! It's stunning to watch your tutorials, thans to you I loved my hair even more! Cause I was never so interested in making some hairstyles until I see how simple it can be here in your channel! Of course some hairstyles are challenging but it fuels the interest! Thank you for your great tutorials! Keep on making them! :)
I just want to say, I love your hairstyle tutorials, they are extremely easy to follow and learn. Each style you do is so unique and beautiful. Now that my hair is long, I'm able to braid it everyday! I always get complements on my braids thanks to you!
I just stumbled across your channel and so happy I did!! I’m growing out my hair and looking for ways to creatively wear “protective” styles; your channel is the jackpot!! Thank you for your labors of love! Btw your hair is my goal length 🌞
I’ll be trying that second one for sure!
I’m always looking for hairstyles that work with my long, thick hair and this channel is perfect :)
Thank you so much I tried the first braid and it turned out lovely.
I left all 3 strands on their own and it looks really cool.
These are great subtle viking braids for my job. xo
Congrats on your book 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Trying to grow my layers out so I can braid without all these little pieces sticking out everywhere
I would love to see more simple and daily hairstyles. I love bringing a bit of the medieval/Viking to my everyday at work :)
I've finally started watching the last series. Limited to 1 episode a night becuase I don't want it to the end. Watching always makes me want to play with my hair. I love your first tutorial. Thanks for the video :)
Just tried the 1st one and love how it came out ! Ty for the tutorial
Yay, A new video! THAT is how I like to start the day! ;)
I will definitely try those hairstyles!
Thank you for writing the book btw! It is really good and I love that there are styles for many different occasions and of different difficulty.
These styles are gorgeous!
I‘ve just made the second look. But I have braided the rest of the hair to a big braid, bc at work I can't have my hair open. I have less, thinner and a bit shorter hair, but it worked. Thanks :)) !
I would love if you could do some Reign inspired hair styles in future.
Yay! A new video! This is the cherry on my day! (I just got back from a delicious dinner and a movie that was so good and emotional, it made me cry.)
i started following you just after cutting my hair short, now its finally long enough that i can try some of the looks!! great timing too, this video is my favorite so far thank you for the great content
Your tutorials are my favorites!!
I love this! Can you do more interesting hairstyles that are still simple and everyday?
I love this so much!!! Anytime I want to do something a little fancier with my hair, I always use braids!! So now I really want to go get your book!!!
I think the first of second is my favorite but I do love all of them all the same! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have an under cut. And my mom French braided my hair the other day. My dad goes "you have ivar hair!"
I just orderd your book. I wanted to buy it sooner but I was going to have to use my dad's credit card for that shop. I now found it on a dutch website, so I bought it. Can't wait til I get it.
Love it !
Have a look at Dutch from Killjoys if you have time, she usually wears her hair down with a lot of accent braids and beads, but her updos can be quite nice :) (also quite a nice series to watch, I need to get back into it !)
Byeee
Just bought your book! I know it's been out a while, but I'm so excited!
I will definitely wear the second style tomorrow at my Grandmas birthday
I just find your channel, im a men and im letting my hair grow, im aiming for Ragnar braid (first season) or Ubbe braid, love your videos, already watch and like all of them xD, much love from Costa Rica!! (sorry if my grammar sucks im learning english)
Holy Sh*t, you are so incredibly talented....I'm all freaken thumbs! :(
Im about to do this on my 3c hair. ❤
Could you do more Outlander hair tutorials? I'm not even a fan of the show, tbh; but I love the hairstyles from it.
Gonna try these - love them as usual :D
Oh yay! You're back! Can you review Function of Beauty?
Or can you do an updated hair routine?
I'm crying because I just cut my hair into a bob and I love it but I miss being able to recreate your tutorials 😭
These are gorgeous! Could you do some of the Skyrim or Oblivion hair styles? They’re probably quite easy compared to many of the other styles you’ve done :-)
Have you played Witcher 3? Not skyrim, but similar sort of aesthetic and i'm compiling styles from that as I play through it.
Silvousplaits I also love the Witcher! That would be sweet too!
I loooove your hair
Thanks so much for doing this.
I just tried the first but I have dark reddish brown hair so it looks waaaay better on your hair. 😜
hello dear, I love your hair tutorials so much as they inspire me and make me feel more looking great and I subscribed as soon as I got permission for a channel , thank you so much and may I ask you for a healthy and an affordable hair care tutorial to have longer hair :)
Hey did you will make a vidéo whith the new cool hair style frome vikings second parte of season 5 and of season 6. Thanks for answer.
Could you do some Borgia hairstyles?
Do you think the first look could be done with two french rope braids on the side that gather in the center and become a fishtail braid instead of the way the center three-strand braid is done?
Phenomenal!!
These are great...but my hair is short , do you have any idea for short hair??
I whis this color hair 😭😭😭❤️
Achilleas hair tutorial please my Queen.
I just realised that you look a lot like Sansa from Game of Thrones
Well... she's a beautiful, long haired redhead.
But there ends every resemblence! lol
When Vikings hair is basically the boho style
could you please do the infinity braid tutorial slowly ? I couldn't keep up on the how to do it doing it .. . Thanks !
Do you have any tips on how to Dutch braid your own hair? I can French braid, no problem, but my brain refuses to reverse it. Thanks!
Could you do more Borgia hairstyles?
Hey could you do that hairstyles of the movie ever after with drew Barrymore ? It's a 1998 movie it's really good it's been one of my faves since I was 8 :)
Torvi means "a horn" (the instrument) in Finnish!
The hairstyles I do aren't limited to "looking normal and no so out there" hehe.
Could you do the hairstyle Keira Knightly wore when she danced with Matthew Macfadyen in Pride and Prejudice at the ball?
That's in my book actually!
Silvousplaits Okay, thanks so much! ^^
Silvousplaits where could I buy it? 😊
It's called Badass Braids, and can be found online or in store at all major book retailers (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.)
Silvousplaits okay, thank you so much. I really love all your videos and hairstyles too. Thanks for teaching us how to do it 😊
It's amazing! Simple coke for bad hair day yeah ?
i love your videos
Can you do hairstyles from reign ?
I tried to do the second one and it went very well until I realised my hair is layered and top layer is too short to do the twisty round bit, so I just tied them off together and it was like a braid crown
could you try to recreate one of Flora's hair styles from Winx club? or maybe one of the other Winx Members?
Have you done any Greek braids?
Pls do Assassin's Creed Valhalla Eivor's braids tutorial
What kind of elastics do you use?
Do this for Game of thrones please ♥️♥️♥️
Haha, check out her other videos! There's plenty!
e batdorf she made plenty of videos for Vikings too. I meant that she should make wearable everyday hair tutorials for GOT
Oh, I see. :) Not going to lie, I do some GoT hairstyles every day (i.e. Danny's hair in the Pyre scene, Margaery's twists, Cersei-inspired rope braids). I guess I'm a little "extra." ;)
Could you do a tutorial of Margaery Tyrell's wedding hair for when she married Joffrey?
I don't plan on doing that style, mostly because several other people on RUclips have already done it really well! Check out torrinpaige or LaDollyVita333
subscribed! :)))
No matter what i do.. variations like the french, dutch and lace braids do not show on the front of my head. It’s as tho there is no braid above my forehead base no matter how tight i pull the braids, or even if i twist the roots before braiding.
I do not know why, it could be that i have a lot of frizzy baby hair on my head .. but i dont know ..
is there any technique im doing wrong that’s causing this?
Does anyone face the same problem?
Help ?
Hello! I love your videos and I'm a fan of Vikings too.

You should find someone to work with to do men's styles a bit more accurately, or shaved hair styles(I have an undercut, shaved at the sides and back, long on the top, pain in the ass to find simple braiding tutorials on that).
Lagertha and Torvi braids are my fav
