The reason why I’m growing my hair long is purely for these hair styles. I’m so happy I found this channel!! I use to have long hair, a little below my butt type of long (I have a long torso too), I cut it all off and kept cutting into a cute pixie, currently a long bob barely touching shoulders), my goal was Rapunzel as a tween. So many people loved braiding my hair due to the length, people would walk up and ask about my hair, then if agreed upon would braid or play with. Then say how soft it was and ask my secrets to having long, soft, healthy hair. I wish I had discovered these type of hair styles back then. My hair back then would constantly knot especially on my neck since I didn’t know how to wash that part as a kid , I do now having eventually learned. I would also love to brush it, I loved to take a comb and just rub it through. I loved doing it so much, it was like therapy. My now learned hair therapy with my hair is twirling it, braiding it, and brushing still. I just now absolutely hate the look of straight hair on me so cae it lengthens my face, so before going out I would tease it into a diamond.

Did Hvitserk’s braids on myself this afternoon and I think I’ve got a new favorite go-to hairstyle. Modified it a bit because I have less hair but it still worked! You broke it down so well. I’m so glad I found this video!
Your videos are so relaxing to watch. And you give such clear instructions. I always want to try these, but it's very difficult as I have little patience and my hair is over three feet long, haha. I should totally try these on my boyfriend, though!

How about I say the only thing you can really do is have him do yours too because if you can’t reach behind your head you’re basically going to be hopeless on this and secondarily there’s another problem you can’t see your own hair that well it’s unfortunate but you can probably teach him how to do it

Bjorn ironside's hairstyle is literally Rangar's from season 1. Also PROUD to say that, other than the widows peeks on the sides. I have 4'+ of hair, with which I can take to the local hair salon and see if somebody can give me a braid style like one of these!

I recently got a Mohawk and I’ve never felt like a more badass warrior queen than I do now. I’ve done these hairstyles with it and I get so many compliments! Of course I have to alter the styles a bit, but that’s part of the fun!

I love your braiding tutorials and have followed several different ones for work and weddings. I have a question for you about what to do with a bald spot. I had hair at the right side of my hairline pulled out recently by confused patient. My hair is slowly growing back, but there is currently a one inch long and two inches wide balding spot from my hairline to just over my ear on the right side of my head. My question is how can I do these beautiful braids against my head when a good part of my hair line is not there anymore? I am at a loss of what to do.
I seem to be straight up incapable of doing any braid along the side of my head that requires me to add hair. Looking at the comments that is a common problem. Any chance of a full tutorial please? I love Viking hairstyles but if I can’t do those braids then I don’t think it’s happening :(.

heyshaybee after you're done braiding. spray some hairspray onto a dedicated toothbrush to brush your babyhair in the direction the hair lies. Or if you don't want the hair to look drier, use a tiny bit of waterbased pomade.

Yeah it's pretty close, the only difference is Ragnar's ponytail was braided. It's like the fusion of Bjorn and Ubbe's styles.
