Just picked one up at ALDI's for 6.99 32 tones, 300ft range and 3 levels of door bell volume. Both the doorbell and the chime are battery powered, I like not having to plug the chime into an outlet because as seen in your video it blocks the use of the other plug in on the electric outlet. The ALDI doorbell also has double sided tape making it a breeze to install.
It's blocking the other outlet because he plugged it into the top outlet so it blocks the bottom. If you plug it into the bottom outlet, it won't block the top one.
but you do not need to worry about replacement of batteries i had an option to buy batteries powered but bought plug powered same prices for both payed 15 euros
Nice video thanks for making it. Only problem is wireless dies fast in cold climates. I live where is hits -40 often in the winter so batteries die fast and/or crack open.
These adhesive things never stay on. I just had to pull my new Home Depot wireless basic doorbell, and Gorilla-Glue the button outside next to door frame down to the surface. Well, I can tell you that the Gorilla Glue didn't hold, the bell fell off immediately after affixing it. So, I had to clean and strip the outside area again, dry, and then drill the back plate of the bell and permanently screw the plate in, I did have hardware as it happens, and now it's in there for good. I wouldn't even bother using glue or the strips, just drill and use anchors and put the bell in permanently. It's much less hassle.
@@HomeownerRepair That Gorilla Glue was more like Chimpie Glue! Ah well. I notice it won't hold on a slick wooden surface, it needs something with some grit or coarseness to hold to. I bought some Liquid Nails instead in case I need some real hold power. Home Depot is better than sex. Almost.
@@CutieRingoJoy No that is a good question. People don't use there own doorbell much. It would be a nice feature the base would check once and awhile if the button part is still good. OR a red light on outside when it is getting weak.
Cool video. Is the outside unit waterproof? How does the battery hold up in winter cold? If you lose power, does the unit have to be re-programmed when the power comes back on? Cheers
this is second bell purchased and same as first one ,this one don't work either..Have read instructions and watched RUclips video but nothing..What should I try next.?
hi H R... ' i have one good doorbell music sound and remote... can use a pack of four AA batterys = 6 volts without AC 120 volts... can use both powers AC / DC
my wireless door chime interferences with my neighbour, is there a reason for this? When someone rings my door bell , both mine and my neighbours receiver rings. any idea why and how to fix?
Our building is a small three unit condo building. If we all have this product do they operate separately from each other? In other words If someone rings the bell for unit 1 does in trigger the other bells or is each unique to itself?
If it’s a loud TV sure. If it’s four people yelling, a loud Beagle barking, one kid practicing Rush on a drum set while dad is using an air gun to change four tires maybe not.....lol In all seriousness...it’s loud but also depends on the noise.
Just as an update, Amazon has a new link....in case your link was monetized ....same name but slightly different. I ordered and installed...so thank you
Really cool looking wireless doorbell. I was thinking of getting the one Harbor Freight has but I like this one. How has it been working for you since you put it up? Thanks for the video *thumbs up*
Is there an option to get a 2nd chime for the same doorbell? For example, have one plugged in upstairs and 1 downstairs so the chime can be heard throughout the house?

My favorite word: SIMPLE! Clear explanations, congrats and thanks.
You're welcome!
I love how simple this was. I have old wire buzzers in my building and this helped to get indoor to outdoor contact simply.
Thanks for watching. Did you end up buying this one

This video is great, my doorbell just died and had to pay electrician almost $200 just to remove. I am going to put in wireless myself.

Actually I wish you did go through all of them. I'm quite fond of the standard Japanese doorbell tones, and I'd like to know if this device has it.
Thanks for checking out the video.
Thanks just ordered one. my bedroom is too far from my front door.

Is there some kind of warning when the battery in the doorbell switch is getting weak?
No it just stops working
Lmao this is a simple doorbell it aren’t going to warn you, it just stop working and you just replace the batteries duh

It seems to be waterproof. Cheap batteries would more than likely not last as long as good ones.
hi CACAZI wireless doorbell is waterproof and search it on Amazon now on sale off
No it is not. OK for a slight dampness but not hard rain.
FINALLY!!! an easy solution thank you

What’s the battery life like?
Depends on how many guest u have 🏠. Otherwise, changing the battery twice a year will work.
Yes I was hoping he show how to change battery. I got one like that.
It lasts for a while at our place.
This really helped me thank you
Glad it helped
Nice video . I have just been given one as they have now bought a ring doorbell video camera
Those Ring doorbells are nice.
this is second bell purchased and same as first one ,this one don't work either..Have read instructions and watched RUclips video but nothing..What should I try next.?
Not sure. Mine worked without much effort.
Thanks for such a straight forward video.

what kind of battery is it? are they easy to replace?
Pretty easy to replace. I forget what type was in there.

Thanks, Tony. If I find the answer to my question I'll come back here and post it. Thanks again for your excellent video.
It sounds like original door bell I like original door bell better than new one.
Thanks for watching.
Does it come with a front door bell and a back door bell
No just one
Is the doorbell sound loud enough to hear over noise?

In all seriousness...it’s loud but also depends on the noise.
If you havin a party door should just be open .. for normal days it’s good enough ..
Have used it for several seasons

Waterproof?
Not sure, but no water has gotten into mine.
Will it stay stuck in winter temperatures?

Kind of depends how cold it is out

I think you could pull any doorbell off of any house.
Would be good if u could put your own tunes on it
Yeah I know.

I forget exactly how much. You can buy one on Amazon.
Is working with google???
