I am looking to install the same kit on my 328i N26 but they said placing the injection on the charge pipe can damage the mass air flow sensor. By placing it so low on the pipe is the hope it will be dissolved by the air temp before it hits the sensor?
Comedian Big Daddy Shawn before installation, I called Snow Performance and Evolution racewerkes. They both said it would be fine. I’ve been running it for a month now and I’ve had no issues. My tuner hasn’t mention any issues with the MAF readings.
Bahaa Bou Fakhereddin I had the kit on for a couple thousand miles before I sold the car to my buddy. He has put about 5k miles on the car now. Zero issues with the kit so far! The intake air temps definitely went down. The car ran very smooth, but I didn’t have the tuner push the car very far with the meth kit. So almost no performance gains. I put it on more as a supporting mod. It kept intake temps low and can help keep intake valves clean.
still confusing about putting black tube on chargepipe, how does the black tube share boost vacuum line together? I have ER chargepipe, What else do I need?
Nicholas Eckert without a tune, you won’t make more power. I am currently using meth as a safety mod, just for its cooling and cleaning benefits. I told my tuner to not tune for meth. You may see more consistent power, since it will cool the intake air temps and the engine won’t pull timing. To make more power, your tuner would add more boost and more timing.
Moto Monkeys thanks for your response. I’d honestly love it for cleaning my intake valves. The job to do it would cost as much as the meth kit anyways. And having that safety aspect of it too is great. Later down the line I’d consider having it tuned for power as well.
Konrad Chan it will be very similar for an f30 n55. All of the methanol injection parts will be the same. The mounting point for the pump and solenoid may need to change depending on the room you have in the front bumper.
@@LenartoGarage ok thanks! So i will need all the extras that you suggested such as the 1/8 to 1/4 port nipple, the 40060 snow solenoid upgrade, and the 10 pack fuse tap??
It’s been a while, but I believe it was the second smallest size. Progressive from 6 psi to 23 psi. I used -20 windshield washer fluid. Which is 30% methanol.
Dyno video is up! Unfortunately it’s on a mustang dyno and I didn’t do a baseline run so take the numbers lightly. I thought she was going to make more power than she did 😢. I recently moved on to a F30 N55, and I’ve been going nuts with mods. I need to get that one on the dyno 😈
Ok so I have this kit and I already got the 1/8-1/4 fitting I’m installing utilizing a plate after the tb my concern is this with both my boost source and my nozzle in the same vicinity would water meth make it back in threw the boost hose and ruin my controller head unit ?
Brad Elliott that would be a good question for the manufacturer of the kit you have. My gut says no, it wouldn’t ruin the controller. The air flow should carry the spray into the engine, not allowing it to go through the boost source hose.

@@LenartoGarage hey Man, how is your setup with the meth injection going on?
Did you notice power increases?

jerry Chen the black tube goes to the controller, it doesn’t connect with any vacuum line.
Was there any other tuning needed to run this kit? Or is the gauge all you need to effectively utilize meth injection?

Konrad Chan yessir
@@LenartoGarage is the braided line version worth 100$ more?
and how many of the 1/8" NPT do i need?
What is the nozzle size you’re using? Can you tell me your wm injection parameters?

I found an email exchange with my tuner at the time. He said “I would run a 50/50 mix (boost juice) and run no larger than a #2 or #3 nozzle”.
How much power is it putting down
im_2_Fr3sh I’m waiting for a dyno day at a nearby shop. Rough estimate would be 330whp 350wtrq. Boost is at 23psi.
Dam that’s it on 23 pounds ? That’s a lot of cfm I figured you would be closer to 380
Brad Elliott going over 350 whp or wheel torque on the n20 requires building the engine

Bill Molyneaux exactly, low 300s is safe, mid to upper 300s not so much 😅

Thanks I’m hoping so because I’m just going to try it and hope for the best
how often do you refill the tank and how many gallons is the tank capacity
I refilled the tank every couple of gas tanks (2-3 weeks). Never seemed to be that low!
Do you need a tune or can I run it with out a tune
You can typically run lighter sprays without a tune, and just take advantage of the cooling and cleaning effects.
Nozzle size ? please
I believe it was the #2 or #3 nozzle. My tuner at the time said “I would run a 50/50 mix (boost juice) and run no larger than a #2 or #3 nozzle”.
