Obviously, some French guy are a bit young here. "Il est vraiment phénoménal " became popular when France won the World cup in 1998, and it was mostly sing for Zidane. Singing it for Aj was a big tribute
I loved how much commentary openly talked about New Japan in the opening and closing matches. And it wasn’t just a singular passing comment. They talked about it for like a minute straight. In Vince’s WWE, it felt like wrestlers didn’t exist outside of the company.
The crowd was on fire and I loved it!!! I love when a crowd is into the matches, it makes it more fun to watch. I felt Backlash was great and everyone put their 100% in their matches to deliver!
Jey Uso said right before he and Jimmy went out for their match at WrestleMania 40 they were told they had to cut 30 minutes from their match. He felt bad because he felt like he did let the fans down because he and Jimmy decided to move their match more towards emotions instead of moves. They made the match be like how they would fight when they were kids, but obviously people in the crowd didn't understand that. Everyone was expecting this high flying beat down kind of match. I don't know if the match was cut for time because the show was running long or because they didn't want people performing in near freezing temperatures the later the night went because people would be more prone yo injury. It did feel like the matches earlier in the night on night 1 were cut short. I know this was a video about Backlash, but I did want to at least explain what Jey had said about his WM match. I hope he does get a singles title soon.
Much like Backlash last year, the crowd made the show even more special. It shows why WWE needs to do more international PPVs and why a Mania in Europe would be utterly insane. Overall the show was a lot of fun. We expected Jacob Fatu and got Tanga Loa, I don't think maybe people had that on their bingo cards. This has to set up a GoD vs Usos match. The crowd's reactions to everything were crazy and made everyone on the card feel like a bigger star. The only real negative of the show was whatever happened during the Women's tag match. There was clearly some sort of miscommunication either from Kairi or the Ref that killed the flow. But the match was still overall good even if you who was winning.
Too me, a good crowd is loud when they are supposed to be loud. Big moments. Something crazy happens. Fans chanting nonstop and doing things that are not necessarily connected to the match is just them trying to get themselves over.
Why is nobody even mentioning that the original Bullet Club is now in WWE? Finn, Karl, Luke, Tama, and Tanga. I don't think anybody anywhere has said anything about it.
If they bring in Zilla, and have him team up with Jacob and the USOs that would be crazy. Jacob has been referred to as the “black sheep” of the family so him teaming with Jey and Jimmy would make sense. Zilla would join up with them because he doesn’t appreciate his cousin thinking he is like Umaga, who happens to be his dad. So then Zilla hits the super spike on Solo
Ngl you popped up on my subscription page and I was tryna remember when I subscribed to Ryback lmao Good video though. Appreciate the wrestling content!
I swear Cody is Megaman. He beats someone, he steals their powers(signature move). I do have to say though, this crowd was the loudest I have seen in a very long time
I think this was the best show WWE had so far this year in terms of match quality. Wrestlemania had storyline moments but this had better matches. I think AJ vs Cody is WWE match of the year so far (Danielson/Ospreay is still overall)
I knew it was going to be Tanga Loa when the Preshow commentator said "Tamatonga is used to fighting with family, he's tagged with Tanga Loa his brother in the past" It's like hearing about a character you've never heard of in a coronation street episode. They're turning up
It bugs me so much to see Nick Aldis, who is only 37 or 38 years old on the sidelines as a GM when AJ Styles is still in the ring. Don't get me wrong, not knocking AJ at all, he pretty much never has a bad match but Aldis is just as good, and he's 10 years younger. I hope they get him in the ring again sometime in the next year.
It was a very good show, but it’s suffered because every match was predictable. We knew the results of every match before the event even started. We all knew that the only title changing hands was the women’s tag titles and no other superstars losing theirs because they had just won them at wrestlemania..
Aren't kendo sticks used to tighten the ropes? I always thought you put a kendo stick into that metal bracket on each turnbuckle and then turn it and it tightens the ropes... am I wrong? I would assume Simon would know, since he's probably put up and broken down a few rings in his day.
I went to a holiday tour at MSG a few years ago and andrade beat rey and the title change counted. It wasnt televised and those changes rarely are even recognized.
I would venture to say it's more likely to be: Solo, G.O.D., Fatu vs Roman, Jey, Jimmy, Sami. But I wouldn't hold me to this in any fashion. But I can't see Fatu coming in as a face and I certainly can't see Rock getting involved in a War Games match.
Yeah I could see Sami getting back in, but how do you put them all back together? Jey and Sami are on Raw, I don't think they said where Jimmy is going yet, everyone else is on Smackdown, so how do we even build to this?

Obviously, some French guy are a bit young here. "Il est vraiment phénoménal " became popular when France won the World cup in 1998, and it was mostly sing for Zidane. Singing it for Aj was a big tribute
I loved how much commentary openly talked about New Japan in the opening and closing matches. And it wasn’t just a singular passing comment. They talked about it for like a minute straight. In Vince’s WWE, it felt like wrestlers didn’t exist outside of the company.
IL EST VRAIMENT PHÉNOMÉNAL LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA
Amazing atmosphere! Well done! Gave the main event a big fight feel!
THE CROWD WAS GREAT!! SINGING THE WRESTLERS SONGS RANDY, JEY USO AND CODY GOT MASSIVE POPS!!!
Them chanting for wrestler, introducing them with Samantha was great, but that Simplement deux chant was so annoying after 4-5 times.
Great video Simon!
When I first saw the thumbnail I thought, what! John Travolta has a wrestling channel? Lol
France need hall of fame event and wrestlemania to have the opportunity to see wreslters superstars they always wanted to see
The crowd was on fire and I loved it!!!
Awesome crowd - great review
Guerillas of Destiny in WWE ‼️💯🔥 🤘🤘
#FiringSquad #BULLETCLUB 🤘🤘
Too me, a good crowd is loud when they are supposed to be loud. Big moments. Something crazy happens. Fans chanting nonstop and doing things that are not necessarily connected to the match is just them trying to get themselves over.
Why is nobody even mentioning that the original Bullet Club is now in WWE? Finn, Karl, Luke, Tama, and Tanga. I don't think anybody anywhere has said anything about it.
Was bad luck fale not tang loa
Plenty of ppl have mentioned it elsewhere. It's hard not to notice something like that, unless someone isn't aware of the Bullet Club history.
RKOwens v Bloodline was an absolute BANGER!
Followed closely by the Women's Triple Threat match
Ngl you popped up on my subscription page and I was tryna remember when I subscribed to Ryback lmao
Good video though. Appreciate the wrestling content!
I swear Cody is Megaman. He beats someone, he steals their powers(signature move). I do have to say though, this crowd was the loudest I have seen in a very long time
Point of order, cole didnt say AJ was wearing the same gear, he said it was make to look like the gear he wore that day.
More over seas PLE
Thank you to French People of Lyon France..
Thank you for showing our Wrestler's Love
🤗💞🫡😁🥰🎆
I Appreciate You All 🙏
I think this was the best show WWE had so far this year in terms of match quality. Wrestlemania had storyline moments but this had better matches.
I think AJ vs Cody is WWE match of the year so far (Danielson/Ospreay is still overall)
Dang! That women's tag match was epic....they looked like real life super heroes, I was #very impressed!
9:25 this moment will live in simons head forever just from how hes retelling it
Simon rules. France rules. Wrestling rules. What a fun show!
I knew it was going to be Tanga Loa when the Preshow commentator said "Tamatonga is used to fighting with family, he's tagged with Tanga Loa his brother in the past"
It's like hearing about a character you've never heard of in a coronation street episode.
I think he was working his way back to fitness after being injured before he joined WWE. But he re-injured himself again a few months ago
When Nick came out and said the tag match was a street fight, I knew exactly then that they were introducing a new character.
Simon, Thanks for always being a Positive Pete in this wonderful, crazy, wacky world! 👍🏻 keep up the great work 🙏🏻
That opening match was an absolute banger.
You do know that the run audio with additional crowd noise right ?
They do the same thing for sit coms, stand up comedy etc etc
Backlash was great. Just like last year in Puerto Rico
We don’t need two babyface world champions. Priest should stay heel dammit
The ple was really good. The crowd was amazing
Let us just take a moment to appreciate the live audience.
The best crowd ever!!!!
It was a very good show, but it’s suffered because every match was predictable. We knew the results of every match before the event even started. We all knew that the only title changing hands was the women’s tag titles and no other superstars losing theirs because they had just won them at wrestlemania..
Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series is what they need to go back to.
As an American I want all PPE's to be across the pond (France & England)
Social media definitely hasn't made wrestling better
Aren't kendo sticks used to tighten the ropes? I always thought you put a kendo stick into that metal bracket on each turnbuckle and then turn it and it tightens the ropes... am I wrong? I would assume Simon would know, since he's probably put up and broken down a few rings in his day.
i got what the crowd did for the last match they were singing phernomenal like a soccer crowd
The craziest part of AJ wearing gear from two decades ago is that he could fit into his gear from 2 decades ago!
Hangman Page is a "huge star"? In what industry?
I went to a holiday tour at MSG a few years ago and andrade beat rey and the title change counted. It wasnt televised and those changes rarely are even recognized.
I was wondering what happened to WWE 205 and WWE uk.2?
Hey Simon, we don't know your buddies at Whatculture have been acting biased. Kepp up your good work. I only watch your contents.
War Games: Bloodline Civil War
Rock, Solo, Tama, & Tanga
VS
Roman, Jey, Jimmy, and Jacob
Jacob will probably join Solo's team. No way Rock will be in War Games. Besides he has to face Cody before he feuds with Roman.
I would venture to say it's more likely to be:
Solo, G.O.D., Fatu vs Roman, Jey, Jimmy, Sami.
But I wouldn't hold me to this in any fashion. But I can't see Fatu coming in as a face and I certainly can't see Rock getting involved in a War Games match.
@@moo2k4Sammy doesn’t need to part of this I think Jacob going be with the USOs
@@Wyatt6661 my implication is that it will be old Bloodline vs new Bloodline. Sami has a lot of loyalty to Jey. He’d help if asked.
Yeah I could see Sami getting back in, but how do you put them all back together? Jey and Sami are on Raw, I don't think they said where Jimmy is going yet, everyone else is on Smackdown, so how do we even build to this?
The Crowd 🔥💯‼️
Other European crowds, are you even trying?
Why are exactly zero of the wrestling content providers I like talking about Uncle Howdy (QR Codes, “The 6”, Dreadmare, etc.)?
