Hi, everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for your kind words and provide some more information on the table. I've seen a lot of comments asking about different things, so I'll try to answer as many questions as possible here. Dimensions: 89,5 x 99 x 53 cm (or approximately 35.2" x 39" x 21") That's excluding the acrylic case and the glass panel. So, basically just the Lego and the frame it sits on. The acrylic case is 7mm strong in order to support the glass and also be strong enough so you can put your feet up, etc. The glass panel itself is 120,5 x 131cm (about 47.4" x 51.6") and 1cm (.4") strong. The frame I made myself. Its really just a simple steel design made to fit the footprint of the MOC. The legs are pretty short (about 11cm/4.3") with threads to accommodate those off the shelf feet (I don't know if that's what you call them. I'm talking about the little knobs on furniture/washing machines/etc. you can use to adjust for unevenness of the ground). Also, since some of you were asking about the cost, well that's a little difficult to answer. I can only tell you what I paid. But that's really not saying all that much, because those are very regional prices (also, it's all in EUR, not $US). Anyway, here's an overview: UCS Millennium Falcon - 800€ Hangar Bay MOC - approx. 600€ Acrylic Case - 650€ Glass Panel - 450€ Lights - 150€ Steel Frame - free for me Grand Total - 2650€ (or 1850€ excluding the Falcon) Sounds pretty intimidating, I know. There's a bunch of cheaper alternatives depending on where you live. However, there's no actual kit available anywhere as far as I know. Most brands specializing in lighting solutions for Lego do offer separate parts, though. So, just look at your build, count the number of lights you want to incorporate and try measuring how long of a cable you'd be needing for each one. This will give you a basic idea of the components you'll need.
Nice to see the hangar bay completed and lit. This is something like what I've been considering. That or the hangar on Tatooine. I like the look of the transparent case because it allows 360 degrees of visibility.
This is amazing good job on the scene too, wish I could marvel at this in person. Also, thanks for the inspiration. I have most of the star wars [current lego catalog] "OG" vehicles and just purchased and completed the discovery space shuttle with Hubble telescope set and the shuttle would be perfect for this.

Thank you very much! It’s actually an acrylic glass box that’s put over the build with a separate actual glass panel on top. The acrylic box is made of 6mm panels and the glass panel is 15mm. As for securing the pieces: if you mean the Lego pieces, they’re not glued down or anything. Just normally built, so I can take the whole thing apart if I feel like changing something. If you’re asking about the glass, I’ve had that made by a local acrylic company. I believe they’re glued together.
How is the acrylic case attached to the base? And then how is the glass top attached to the acrylic case? Sorry for all the questions, I'm doing some research as I'm planning to build a similar thing. And If the lights stop working, is it possible to lift the whole thing up and replace wires/battery etc? Hi, the acrylic case isn't really attached. There's a groove in the wood that it rests on. It works pretty well. No issues so far. The glass just sits on 4 rubber feet. As for the lights: The battery is accessible through a door in the bottom. The wires and lights themselves require opening the whole thing, though.

One thing you should do is finish the build first and take very careful measurements to give to whatever company you choose to do the case. Also, keep in mind to ask about and account for manufacturing tolerance.

Well, the Lego build for the docking bay itself is actually by jmfbtb. However, you'll need to make some changes to account for the lights and wires. Unfortunately, I haven't made any plans or instructions for that. I was pretty much figuring it out while building. It's not that hard, though. The most difficult part is the wall, at least if you want the wires to be completely invisible, which is what I did. Also, you should definitely elevate the whole thing by 1 brick from the base plate level. That way you can tuck away the wires neatly and you'll have a much easier time assembling the table around the MOC. No, I got my lights from lightmybricks.com, although there's a bunch of (probably cheaper) options with this stuff. Also, the docking bay is not designed with lights in mind, so you'll have to account for that yourself. I actually had the whole thing built before I decided to incorporate lights, so I had to tear most of it down again. That sucked but it actually helped me to come up with room for the lights having experienced the build before. Of course, if you don't mind having the wires visible on the back of the wall, there's little to no modification necessary.

Dimensions:
