Dry Creek Dewayne is a hidden gem. Such a delightful surprise. Genuinely going to revisit his clip on a scheduled basis for that much needed compass and reminder to give myself some grace
there's so much i love about chris: his tenaciousness, his fresh sets and locations, his thought provoking guests and topics. but if there's one thing i love most is how well he understands the power of silence. allowing for moment of pregnant pause encouraging the guest to elaborate. may we all practice this more in our day to day lives ❣
The best Moments were with Mike Israetel, I genuinely found listening to podcasts more fun with him. I would put him on top with the Huberman, Goggins and Hormozi episodes no doubt
I wonder what its like to have so much going on in such a small time. Between the podcast and the preparation going into them, staying fit and sane, dealing with tenitus and other things(including a question of purpose), and somehow you still stay so cool and calm to an inspiring point. Im proud of how far youve grown. Im not sure if you hear that often or not, but i genuinely am.
Chris, what a fantastic year of content 👏 Your conversations have been both engaging and thought-provoking. You have a remarkable ability to let your guests shine while asking insightful follow-up questions that take the discussion to a deeper level. Looking forward to more in 2025.
With the Weinstein thing. The problem is that they have us arguing about very fringe issues that affect a very small percentage of people. They force fringe issues into societies conversations that they know are controversial and not possible to solve so that we constantly argue about issues that don’t create real change. They want things to stay the same. They will continue to interject these “issues” into our conversations until we have the foresight of a nation to reject and resist the urge to argue about things only a small percentage of people should be talking about.
Am I right to say these fringe topics have a goal of further separating humans? You know with the trans people thing, people became more reluctant to stand by the lgbtq movement and its ideas, But in reality I honestly don't have a problem with gay folks, I felt a rift is what I would say. and in the states, People are more divided than ever
Very true - I was hoping most people saw what he was doing. He was full-on arguing the very most marginal, fringe cases of human pathology, then made a strawman of it and blamed the right for not being sensitive to and accepting of those cases, which is just outright false. He also made the admittedly scientifically baseless and emotional claim that he thinks one sexes brain can somehow wind up in the other sexes' body. He made absolutely no rational cases on those topics. But to his slight credit, he at least begrudgingly and euphamistically pointed out that the behavior in question is a "software issue" (aka mental illness).
I see Chris I hit Play! God bless you for everything you’re doing, my friend! You are beyond awesome! Thank you for all the advice, vulnerability, cinematography, and just for being an amazing human! Have a wonderful and happy 2025!!!
We should tell kids that getting married, having kids and taking care of your family is the best thing you can do in life. I did all the other things too but it all dwarfs in comparison of my family. It's the only thing I'd die for with a smile on my face. All the secondary life goals the kids can figure out on their own.
Yes, I love all these together. The one part of a podcast i really wanted to check out more information from was with the great decision making. Unfortunately the course is $3000 and will not be able to afford that. It’s all great information though. Thank you for sharing. I try to share information with my kids as often as I can. My son really struggles with life. He really needs help. Hopefully I can guide him through his troubles.
The first one with Eric was interesting… a rational argument from the left. What a concept. Although I’m more onboard with Chris’ viewpoint, at least Eric is making a valid case. That’s the left we need.
He's a dingle berry. Truth be that, when we're young and ignorant, boys will look at the left 'gun control' and 'body positivity' messages as for women, primarily. Rationally, anybody can think of themselves in their teenager way of thinking and come to these conclusions.
Eh... his argument boiled all the way down to the most extreme medical edgecases possible, then he made it a strawman by saying the right doesn't accept/understand those people. That's not very rational, I think. Also, he believes with admittedly no scientific evidence that a woman can have a man's brain and vice-versa, which is obviously irrational nonsense.
He made few rational arguments: he was arguing the most extreme physiological syndrome related edge-cases, then made it a strawman by asserting that the right doesn't accept and/or understand those people, which isn't true at all. To a small amount of his credit, he did say that he believes one of the sexes can "have the others' brain" and that it's a "software issue", which is just a euphamism for mental health issues. That's true.
Quite a year of fascinating conversations! Thank you for all that you do. I would be honored to have you as a guest someday on the Trapped in History podcast. Best wishes ahead!
Although I agree with Eric in the first section on the video, I have gotten to where I can hardly stand to listen to him. His arrogance is off the charts and getting worse. He has a god complex and he believes what he has to say is the most important thing happening on the planet. It’s just awful.

Eric Weinstein used to annoy me and now I can’t get enough of his interviews. Chris’s last discussion with him was really good. Eric’s points made were the most lucid and uncluttered that I remember him ever being. Maybe I had some odd bias against him previously, and I’ve managed to drop that. Or maybe he’s slightly recalibrated his style of reasoning.

chrises advice to protect your passsion no matter what kindof flies in the face of "show up no matter what". because if you show up no matter what then you will build resentment towards what you are doing. and then supposedly you are supposed to push through that resentment but that will just build more resentment so at some point you will be running continiously on fumes at moments when a full burn could give you everything. really something to think about. im not sure what to do with that info.
He kind of elaborated on it saying that you only build that true resentment when you’re not taking care of yourself, not rewarding yourself, not doing or achieving the things you want within the passion with people that care about you; I think that is what delineates the difference between having resentment and being challenged
Im always fascinated at how many people take on the opinions of so called audiophiles when there are a plethora of mixing and mastering engineers who dont touch that stuff at all. Oh, and im absolutely certain that the example of the £5k turntable is instantly beaten by anything that plays back a WAV/flac through the dame system. ❤
There is no job no career no social status that is even in the running for the most important job a human can do , being a parent especially a mother which is the most important job a human can do
Not really, as a parent you have a responsibility for one individual albeit a big responsibility. President of a country or some other ultra powerful position your decisions affect the lives of thousands or millions so I would say that is more important
@ nope there millions that can do that job but only one person can be a father and one a mother to there child you have unconditional love for your child nothing is more important than that. Jobs are jobs and everyone can be replaced
@@MA_KA_PA_TIEI guess one parent being more important than the other is a personal opinion. My view is the woman has a greater responsibility given she is carrying and responsible for the child developing in her body. After the child is born both parents have there own unique contribution to parenting which is equally important. I guess we are splitting hairs here. It’s all good I respect your opinion regardless
Eric Weistein says our problem is that we're not able to think or deal in ambiguities. He seems to imply that we need to get better dealing in ambiguity, and this will solve our problems. He's wrong. The problem is not that we need to improve our ability to deal in ambiguity, it's that we don't like ambiguity. Humans don't do well living in grey spaces. We need structure, we need guidelines. We need things to "make sense." I think the real answer is not to turn black and white into grey by injecting a tiny minority into the fray. And this holds in all situations. We must govern to the majority, and i don't mean that in partisan terms.
Personally, I think it’s important to ask several questions about children. Childbearing and raising is quite a job and it’s not the easiest thing to do. I believe it’s best to get counsel or wise instruction from those who’ve had children already. Roughly quoting what PBD said, “Those who are hyper analytical about becoming good parents and asking a lot of questions is far more beneficial rather than to not think about it at all.” It shows maturity in those type of people. Being interested in children and talking about them shows that they are considering factors like financial stability, emotional readiness, and ability to provide a supportive environment for a child.

The talks with hormozi were crazy good Chris🔥
The first one with Eric was interesting… a rational argument from the left. What a concept. Although I’m more onboard with Chris’ viewpoint, at least Eric is making a valid case. That’s the left we need.

Don't confuse yourself. Many of the left are logical. Many on the right are also not logical. The left/right stuff needs to stop.

Hmmm strange I don’t see it, maybe you have a bias about something else about him
@@galinarou it’s pretty self evident in the way he speaks, seems like he’s talking at Chris instead of with him and a majority of the comments agree.

Chris when is the book coming out!? So stoked to read it!!!!
Been here since 2020 my guy. First comment. Life is still hard
...and then we die 😂
Thanks for being a huge proponent of change of thought and progress in my life
Man your crushing it.
Weinstein was by far the best interview, every interview with him hits hence the long interview
emotion is like e-mail from your thinking activities, nothing has to do with reality, connect to real life= connect with your own human needs mirrored by feelings

Thanks Chris!

Clip show! Thanks.😊
If Eric Weinstein could stop incessantly marketing himself he would drastically alter his approach to inquiry.
MrBallen with his account of the young couple inadvertently stumbling on a Ted Bundy crime in progress and unknowingly escaping intact! Wow!
2:47 Absolutely agree.
Watching this whilst playing 200 ELO chess, listening to the Bible in Belgian and classical music on 2 x speed.
...also sitting in an ice bath 🛁 at same time 😅

But are you fasted and doing kegels?
The best & only thing I can do for you is work on myself
Im always fascinated at how many people take on the opinions of so called audiophiles when there are a plethora of mixing and mastering engineers who dont touch that stuff at all. Oh, and im absolutely certain that the example of the £5k turntable is instantly beaten by anything that plays back a WAV/flac through the dame system. ❤
Rudyard Lynch's (WhatIfAltHist) interview is by far the best. I have it downloaded on Amazon Music so I can listen to it more often m
Wow! Carole Hooven had her wikipedia page deleted. That's even worse than what they did to Huberman over the Atlantic hitpiece.
I love the part where Chris breaks the folding chair over Dougie's head. Definitely one of the best scenes of the year.
Hail, modern wisdom!
It takes a father and a mother in equal parts to make a person. Neither job is more important than the other.

For me the best guest this year was Alex Hormozi by far
Not putting in Dr Peter Attia & Bryan Johnson is a crime
De. Mike 👍🏼
Why is Chris so intersted in talking about children, but not having children. It's like talking about swiming without ever been in the water.
Hormozi ends at 32:22.
Just a little correction on the timestamps
1:49:10 fascinating
Hard is relative to the context it set in.
I think it is a mistake to conflate biological sex and gender. Chromosomes don't lie but how you express yourself is a separate issue.
❤❤
The 3 eyed 3 legged townsville great barrier reef crab has not yet been discovered yet every miner in Queensland and every government shall applaud the discovery and assist.
1:27:55 WoW :)
I love how he starts talking about trans and immediately switches to intersex as they always do.
I have been an eric watcher for a long time this eric got over the math and felt and telt the truth.
I know a guy who was born with one testicle, is he not actually a male or could it just be that he was born with a birth defect.
Obviously male. What's the context to your question?
Eric is sounding out of touch
How? He's more on point that he's ever been
This is why I'm a broke man when anytime I hear Alex Hormozi speak I just think how awful it sounds the way he talks about family and friends Lol
wow that eric weinstien conversation was very nuanced and insightful.
Was I the single one who had to roll his/her eyes when the first dude started his mumbo-jumbo about genders and skipped to Hormozi?
