When you post videos, us followers realize quickly all the crap reseller RUclips we've been watching is so second fiddle to your content. You guide us & teach us. The others don't hold a candle. Still waiting for the return of your Thursday night lives. 🤞
Thanks so much! I will have live shows in the future. Our building is moving along, and I do have a room in the house almost ready to shoot there as well.
Great information Don. I used to use promotion markdown and then tried to run coupons which don't see to work. I'll stick with the markdowns as you suggest.
Very helpful video! I haven't dabbled with this feature yet. One question, I sell mostly books but i just categorize them non-fiction/fiction. Do you think it's more effective to categorize by topic?
Appreciate you sharing this strategy. You mentioned sending offers daily is that on top of your items already on sale? I currently wait till after sales end to send offers. Would be interested in hearing how you and others handle that. Thank you.
Hi Don, I am sorry but you say you do not list in 2 different store categories yet I am finding several which are in multiple categories eg. C.1900-10 Embossed Santa Claus Holly Berries Christmas Vintage Postcard F56 is in both Postcard and in Holiday collectibles. I am confused here. Is that a mistake or is there a reason for this and the others I have found. Dave
10.29.24 i'm trying to run a sale right now and they completely changed the page. I may not want everything in one category on sale but it seems they lumped it all together and i can't pick and choose.
The issue I have with this is that you, unlike most resellers, get your stock virtually for nothing, you have spoken about this many times. You have also spoken about inflating your prices by 400%. That is just a fantasy world that I don't live, slashing 30% off for me would basically make it pointless buying the item in the first place, in most cases. Also, ebay are now effectively hiding non promoted vintage items from searches in some cases - I have proven this with my own data.
Items that sell for like a month after a sale ends still gets the fee to eBay for the special sale. So doesn't ebay still take the sale promotional fee, when you send an offer to people even if the sale is over or active....right?
No that is not correct. You are confusing a paid promotion which we never run with a sales and markdown. You does not get a dime extra when you run a sales and markdown. You only pay those fees when using one of eBay's paid promotions.
First up, your left eye looks really bloodshot, I do hope that everything is OK with you Don. Everyone is looking towards high profile sellers like you Don as eBay sales UK are like a graveyard at the moment, they are looking for idea's to get sales rolling again. This is very valuable information for any eBay seller that runs a store. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK
We are not promoting anything. What we are doing is a sales & markdown. We do not pay eBay a single dime ever to run a sales & markdown. What you are referring to is eBay's paid promotions.
How many people do you have on your team? Because you're listings are nuts. I saw like 2000 listings in one category? Are you doing all those listings?
If you're using like to like items is not that hard. I can list about 100 lithographs in the same style in about 90.Minutes. Group things by category, condition, size etc. Then once you list 1, you hit sell similar, just change a few title words, the pics and any extras in description. In this way, less than a minute each. Clothing, shoes, etc... that will take longer. And have all your pics taken before hand so when you list, you're just listing. This really works. Myself, I'm adding about 500 items a week. The rest is spen't on pictures and packaging and sourcing. Hope that helps.
@@joesikorski4080 whatever, talk yourself down. I don't agree. You guys list on a professional level that most of us can't even obtain. You guys kill it. Way to go!
Guess I'll stop the video 2 mins in since I can't find that marketing tab, did some light research - my page isn't the same as yours nor the other video I saw. Oh well.
You may not have the same setup due to your store level or not having a store, but most of those features can still be used. They may just be in a different spot or look a bit different.

That’s a hard worker right there. Much respect to you. I appreciate your videos
Best reseller ive come across, he could be an actual professor
Wish they had that option for sellers that don't have a store. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for all your knowledge and advice. You've been such a big help.

Love the Shirt! Tron is one of my favorites!
Great targeted strategy. Thanks for sharing!
Great info, thank you for your time making these video's.
Great information Don. I used to use promotion markdown and then tried to run coupons which don't see to work. I'll stick with the markdowns as you suggest.
If I have a 10% off sale and best offer on, does the 10% just come off the original price only or also off their offer price?
Very helpful video! I haven't dabbled with this feature yet. One question, I sell mostly books but i just categorize them non-fiction/fiction. Do you think it's more effective to categorize by topic?

Excellent advice as per usual.

Doesn’t eBay still base their fees off of the pre-sale listing price? Or have I been mistaken?
Question for you, "Do many people tell you you look like Tom Savini?" I think you look like twins!
Do you do auctions or?
Just thanks !!!!

There is a promotional fee attached to every on sale item. At least that is what the fee break down at the end shows.
We are not promoting anything. What we are doing is a sales & markdown. We do not pay eBay a single dime ever to run a sales & markdown. What you are referring to is eBay's paid promotions.
