the Iveco SuperAV is an eight-wheel drive tactical vehicle developed by the Italian commercial vehicle company Iveco. A version made in collaboration with BAE Systems was selected by the United States Marine Corps for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle program. the SuperAV can be armed with various system and this 2 miles on water don't make a difference, it's more important that they can move fast on land

These look like hybrid LAVs. I wasn’t a Trac Crewman, but spent a lot of time in the back of one being part of the Mech Company for a MEU. The original March up to Baghdad in a Trac, and then another Iraq deployment 04-05 where we used Tracs for our mounted patrols before I got out after 8 years. I did one other MEU where we were the Helo company.

Might of cross path with you, I was a tracker and deployed for a MEU in 05-06 and a few other times. After my first 4 years, I got station in this unit that the video was showing actually, AVTB amphibious vehicle test branch. But back then we were testing the EFV expedition fighting vehicle, it was pretty badass with a 25mm chain cannon and can reach speed of 30knots in water. But program got cancelled due to high cost of the vehicle. Oh wells best of luck to this vehicle and I know the crews will test them well. The Marine Corps has been needing a update on the amphibious vehicle.

Absolutely! I'd like to see footage of that test. I did that in 93 and they had the prototype tracked AAV on display at Camp Del Mar but it finally went bust as too complicated. I think this looks like a good option but I'd like to see how it performs going on/off ship in high seas and surf zone.

only that it is not a US made, the Iveco SuperAV is an eight-wheel drive tactical vehicle developed by the Italian commercial vehicle company Iveco. A version made in collaboration with BAE Systems was selected by the United States Marine Corps for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle program! i hope you can live with this! the new frigate will also come from Europe, the US marine has chosen the new Italian FREMM frigate to replace all the US frigate!

Just build a new armored hovercraft...! Even if it has to use a discard-able skirt like the old Duplex Drive Sherman's. You need something to hit a beach faster than that, plus ground effect from hovercraft don't set off land mines.
