The Black series looks like a wonderful addition to the US market and thanks for introducing this style of unit to us HOWEVER you seem to have skipped the type of vehicle required to SAFETLY tow this unit (1/2 ton F150??) Thank you in advance for your kind assistance
I was literally watching this video, typing a comment asking about using a weight distribution hitch with this trailer, then you started talking about it! Nice job covering all the topics. Your videos are always very engaging!
Australians do take long trips, they just don't have as many highways as we do. Looking at a map, most of the roads that go through the center of the country are nothing more than unmaintained jeep trails. That is the environment the black series is designed for.
Australia has vast distances between major cities and many of those highways are only 2 lanes. You have the road trains (giant semis with three or even 4 trailers) coming the other way at highway speeds on these two lane roads. It’s an environment every bit as challenging as anything you see in the US and it’s one where people safely and successfully pull trailers just like this with those mid size SUVs. So no I don’t think you can dismiss what they do in Australia.
These 10 haters that they give you dislike I can bet that they do same kind of work as you because this is absolute great video and thank you for sharing
US RV manufactures could really learn something from the manufacturing processes used on the Black Series. As of late the US RV manufactures have seemed to digress and quality control is lack luster at best.
Check out Ember travel trailers. A new company based out of Indiana with trailers very similar to this. Exciting to see a 'mainstream' US player enter the market. Haylett RV got an exclusive first look.
A couple of links of the type of overlanding in Australia. These are from the channel 4Xoverland. You can also check out Ronny Dahl and 4WD 24/7 (formally 4WD Action). Here are the two links (posted as replies). The first on is over an hour, the second is a little under an hour.
Couple of days ago I have seen one of these pulling out of RV dealer in TX towing it with a late model Range Rover SUV. Australia? They're in serious lock down. Bet they ain't going anywhere any time soon.
That's so cool to be able to camp right on the water! Can you stay overnight??? Haylett RV had a quick peak at Ember travel trailers. Looks like we have a legit off road RV coming out of the Indiana belt soon.
I'd love to get the hq19 but not sure if my truck will be sufficient. 2021 Toyota Tundra trd sport. Looking for long interstate travel to get to off road trails like Moab or into the mountains. Thoughts?
Did mrs BTBRV go fishing with you ??? Food run! No no no fishing poles and catch your supper. We took a cruise to Australia and both Melbourne and Sydney had lots of campers .
"That's downtown, and that's the water" lol.
You should go boondock whenever SpaceX has the orbital launch for StarShip. It'd be a cool crossover video between the RV nerds and space nerds.

You can use one and quite easily. I use one. Although I have the mchitch which is a popular Australian setup… and awesome

You aren't going to have to worry about having to jump a curb with the Black Series camper.

I was just going to ask you if you were at the T- heads? Lol!

That's going to be a big hill to climb as soon as the US manufacturers see that much of the Black Series construction process is done in China.

You didn’t include the links.

That was me... it’s the bigger model HQ21 and I had a weight distribution hitch on it. The Range Rover is 7716lbs tow capacity
@@donkingdonkey4764 , on I 35. Forgot Austin or San Antonio area. White Range Rover. How funny.

Idk if I would Park on the side of the road and camp next to a sidewalk….
They make the best off-road travel trailers but my are they expensive.

So in your opinion what would be the ideal truck for this? Tundra? F-150? 250?
If you are using it off road I would say like a tremor f250, but if you are using it only on road an f150 would be fine.
Can we see inside it?
Would be awesome to meet you, I'm in the area briefly. Been all over TX so far!
Did you give up the new RV with bad brakes? Was it a lemon?
show the inside
I want my Silverado paid off before I do any off roading!
Where’s the interior views
Informative video but you made us all seasick swinging the camera back and forth. Yes, its pretty, but stop that.
You seem to talk about the same thing over and over. Repeating your self. This was not one of your best.
