That was a great point you brought up about your jeep doing some weird things handling wise as its going over bumps in the road, how a poorly designed lift can cause a lot of issues and typically the cheap lifts are missing components to boot. I can certainly see where a track bar with stock attachment points now not sitting level would cause that axle back and forth wandering issue. My brother had bought an already lifted TJ in Phoenix a few years back but that owner who needed the money at the time for a new house, that was his new baby to him and did not want to sell it but did for his situation, and he had a top notch fabrication shop in Phoenix make a lift, not some off the shelf kit but all fabricated in shop and made all the locating link rods etc. Its also on 35's ( 15 inch rim to get maximum sidewall for airing down ) and it has aftermarket sway bars front and rear and the front is easily disconnected for off road. On road manors are very impressive, another high end off road shop owner has driven it and he was impressed as it does not feel like the wallowing leaning boat in the water like some lifts turn a stock jeep into. Its sad that they are no longer made or with that same small footprint, you sure lucked out getting the one you did !. By the way what tire pressures are you running in yours although I realize your doing a bunch of towing and then use it a bit, then back to towing. However its common that some will put a lot more air into those over sized tires than the weight of a TJ would ever dream of requiring and that makes a big difference to the ride ( never mind airing down for off road ).

I'll most likely be building something similar, although with the 17" wheels to allow more room for upgraded brakes. 👍

@@TheTimeIsNowAdventures Oh yes, now that rings a bell as I did see the video where you talked about the jeep and mentioned the upgraded brakes which required the larger wheel diameter. So actually my brothers TJ would have a three link front system and a triangulated 4 link rear so the rear would not have a track bar any longer. The rear has fabricated shock towers that carry the weight of the rear as it was swapped over to coil overs on the rear, the front uses taller two stage coils ( that was where the prior owner went less expensive but it still works great ). The link system is basically what one would call a long arm system as its vastly different from the short factory trailing arm length. The transfer case was tucked up and a body lift was utilized to allow that to be done. All that was done to gain ground clearance without having a jeep in the sky although its still plenty high as shorter people can hardly get into it unless they have a stool to stand on. The link bars, front track bar, the tie rod etc is all made from an aluminum alloy with the heim joints so they stand out and it is that nice factory red color that Jeep used to have. He has off road seasoned guys that spot the build under it and come up to him asking if they can buy it, wish that was the way it was with everything a person owned !.

Yup. That's the way to do it. 👌
