It’s very counterintuitive. Happiness should never be a life goal. Don’t be concerned with being happy. Being content comes with overcoming challenges and going through tough times. Helping others and being useful ultimately brings sustainable happiness. This is not the happiness because you looked for it, but the kind of happiness that comes to you through wisdom. This is happiness in which you can be trusted.
