Leafish except you couldn't, the thing barely got out of its own way and you can forget about hills, even really small ones. And I don't think there's any way to go into reverse
It’s only dumb in hindsight imo. At the time airplane/aerospace technology was all the rage and many cars incorporated airplane tech & design especially airplane engines into their cars at the tine. I could see how this might seem like a good idea at the time. I’d hardly think this is the dumbest idea at the time. Even today, it’s hardly the dumbest idea from the auto industry. The actually dumbest idea imo was the Ford Nucleon, a concept car from 1957 that was designed to show off a concept for nuclear reactor powered car under the presumption that such a thing could someday be built in a small enough to size to be suitable for an automobile. I hate to imagine what such might happen with it’s nuclear reactor in a major smash up.
Not even kidding, I was literally just done playing Flatout 2 messing about with the Flatmobile and along comes the 1958 GM Firebird III, I never even knew it was a real thing
That Divco Model A reminds me of the Union Pacific Big Boy. The American Locomotive Company (ALCO) produced 25 of these engines between 1941 - 1944 and served the UP for almost 20 years. After they retired in the late 50s, 17 were scrapped, but eight are preserved in museums in America. #4014 was restored to operating condition in 2019 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad. It is still operating today, pulling excursion trains.
except nothing flex seal will be around in thirty plus years... ive seen that stuff fail after 30 days... stupid homeowners putting that crap on their houses, smh!
Honestly, I would be shit scared to drive the amphicar! That propeller car just looks dangerous, and "crazy" was exactly my thought about driving the milk-truck! Finally, what's with the monosyllabic answers from Mr. Firebird guy?
my friends in Newtown used to have milk and eggs delivered by a Divco truck back in the late 1970's... thought for sure the Muster mobile was going to be on the list... watching you drive that thing really showed how odd it is
Awesome! The only thing the driver on the Firebird was able to say was "Yeah". Pretty compelling story.

That propeller driven car is probably the dumbest idea in the entire history of automobiles. I can't believe it was actually produced
I’d totally buy that though, it’s so stupidly amazing id want to drive it anywhere

Kevin Barry ok, I could care less. It’s an old car so I’d drive it anywhere in my city since it’s on extremely flat land.

It’s hilariously stupid
My favorite Saturday morning video!
Amphicar looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
Not since James Bond's Lotus in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', has anyone been shocked to see a car drive out if the water!
I definitely remember the"lighting of the pilot" 😂, that can be very dangerous...
🤣🤣🤣👍🏁
Not even kidding, I was literally just done playing Flatout 2 messing about with the Flatmobile and along comes the 1958 GM Firebird III, I never even knew it was a real thing
Ta da!
Awesome! Read about all of these... thanks for the video
That one amphicar looked like it was going into submarine mode.
LOL!

Wow! That steam powered car... And I never knew a propeller driven train was a thing. Very cool.
That divco grinds muh gears
A new meaning to "fire up the car." Sorry, I had to. I can't control myself. We used to have fun canoeing past Amphicars. I want that milk truck.
Super like, 🤩👍
What a fine collection of interesting & unique vehicles!! 🙄
That amphicar makes me remind of Flex Seal.

El camión Divco es increíble
"25 years of cool car videos " Wow! Impressive.
That propeller car ! Lmao , Vivre La France !
The expensive models came with attachable wings :))

Best you can get🔥🚩
The Ampicar I used to see one near where I lived, a powder blue or Seafoam Green, I forget the color.
Pedestrians won’t stand a chance if they get in the way of that propeller car in fact they are chips 🍟
The varsity he wear look legit!

My neighbors dog never stood a chance 2:50
I wish that firebird was actually a production car :c
I was born in the 80s. But those cars are groovy
#5 is why they say " lets fire up the car"
Where’s the clip the Stanley steamer that backfired it’s not online yet you and jay tease a clip all the time lol

No backfire, just Jay "letting off a lil' steam"!😁
The propeller car is probably the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen / heard.
If you don`t want to listen to your wife talk while driving, the propeller car is damn fine.
Feel like Jay has a problem with gas motors.
Imagine hitting a person! It would be absolute carnage! The driver would have to pick out little pieces of human flesh from his teeth!
That firebird III is fruity.
Wow the guy with the turbine car seems like he didn’t have any personality the only thing he ever said was “yeah”
No point in talking when you're driving the Cone of Silence around.
