- 13 Luohan Rouquan Form demonstrated by Master Shi Heng Yi at the Ullambana Festival from 27. August 2022.
A „Luohan“ is regarded as the original follower of Gautama Buddha who has followed the Noble Eightfold Path and attained the four stages of enlightenment. He has reached the state of Nirvana and is free of worldly cravings - the craving for sensual pleasures, earthly existence, ignorance and wrong views - are gone. He is subject to no more rebirths and karma.
Shaolin Luohan Style Qi Gong (Shi San Shi Luohan) is a set of 13 postures/movements that was developed by Shaolin Monks, after contemplating and imitating different forms and expressions of Luohan (Arhat) statues in the monastery.

Master Shi Yeng Yi has changed my life. What a blessing to humanity he is. I wish i had the opportunity to have trained in the shaolin arts in this lifetime...everytime i see him speak or share his martial arts i am swept up in a genuine sense of knowing what i am seeing is truth, beauty, grace, discipline and the highest of humanity expressed in this man. What 1 can achieve with focus and discipline. When you compare the the master to the audience you can clearly see his way of life is full of energy, poise, composure and discipline. No doubt he has reach a place of full fulfillment that we should all try to achieve.

I wonder how many of the people there, watching him perform ancient martial and spiritual knowledge before their eyes, actually understood the meaning and the value of it.
You mean a modern recreation of the legendary origin of kung fu? I doubt that. This may be fitness but it's well known that the modern temple is a government created tourist attraction with "monks" that perform contemporary wushu, created by the govt in the last century. It may have meaning for many but is not what it appears to be.
It’s practice and mind over matter. There’s no spirituality involved really. You could do the same with no religion. Jesus is the only real spirit.

Maestro Shi Heng Yi desde 2018 práctico a diario con tus clases de Yi Jin Jing , estoy aprendiendo también Ba Duam, Louhan . Sane físicamente, por ejemplo una escoliosis con complicaciones y grandes dolores , mentalmente mi equilibrio, felicidad,paz, concentración y espiritualmente me acerca a la sabiduría y la verdad. No puedo expresar con palabras cuanto te agradezco y admiro por transmitir con tanta perfección ésta invaluable sabiduría. Tengo 60 años y siento que estoy recién empezando a vivir una vida real con tanto por aprender pero en el camino. Te abrazo y bendigo desde Chile.

Every time I see this KungFu teacher it's a pleasure to watch. I don't know anything about it, but I like his moves, his work with the legs and his hands seems to 'talk'. Great 🫶. But he does it almost 40 years. He's an expert. Super great. Thanks for sharing. Now everybody can learn a lot more about KungFu.
I don't know anyone doing KungFu, but some, I know, they are doing taekwondo. And they love it and are really good at it 😊.

I am moved by the Graceful precision, strength and power of each movement that fuses so well one after another. It is also a clear demonstration of Shaolin Master Shi Heng Yi 's clear state of mind with every intensity of each movement like a river of water that flows undisturbed by any external factors. Amazing.. So amazing.. Thank you Master Shi Heng Yi. I have much much more to learn in climbing to reach the mountain top myself thanks to your TEDtalk sometime ago. And I am still climbing everyday to discover what I see and observe.. This journey is a never ending one. 🙏⛰️🏞️🌏

I am also very grateful that I found Shifu Shi Heng Yi this year. A truly great spirit .He is helping and inspiring so many people as a role model of a conscious and humble person.
Also you can see how this influenced Chen Style TaiChi, the original and more combative school of TaiChi

After seeing this I can only think of the years and years of practice he must have had... Bruce lee said "be like water..." I dont know how to describe it... but... he was manipulating the water flow in his body and emanating energy at the same time... at least that's the impression I got.
