For this week's episode of the SML Show, we invited Ross Maeda out to the office to discuss how ENZO Racing came to be, the rise and fall of the air-fork, and plenty more. Plugin those headphones and enjoy this week's episode of the SML Show with Ross!
Ross is by far my favorite guest! Please bring him back soon!
Thanks for giving us viewers this insight with Ross. I’ve always had a lot of respect for the knowledge and experience of Ross. For years I always wanted to have my suspension reworked by Enzo but just never wanted to spend the additional freight cost etc versus local pricing. This year I took the plunge and now kicking myself for not doing it so much sooner. The added value in performance way far exceeds the small additional cost by far. My riding confidence is significantly higher and in turn my lap times improved. Look forward to meeting Ross one of these days when I’m in California.
Ross is an inspiration to everyone with a spinal cord injury. Great interview!!!
Ross is legend! We had some good days going for coffee and riding at Starwest. Great soul! Good to see him here
Ross is looking good still! Enzo suspension is fantastic for sure.
Ross is the boss! Great show!
Too cool, been waiting for an interview with the master. Sent my suspension to him on my last bike and was very satisfied.
This was amazing we need part two!
That hat Ross is wearing is sick!!!! I want one. Interview was pretty good too. 🤣
Ha.. was just mulling over sending my suspension in to those mystical enzo folks. Good to see who everyone is and how things come about.
Ross never disappoints. Great job baby bro there is so much knowledge in that brain!
Thank you for everything you've both done for all of us
Always looked up to Ross @ ENZO. Succinctly knowledgeable in his field.
Defiantly not a word but I agree with you nonetheless 💀
Very interesting! One of your best interviews.
Brothers doing BIG things! Dena love!
Great content , being that dude back on. Lots to learn from that kind of experiance and background.
Surprised I just now discovered this. GREAT interview, but "THE" question I want answered didn't get answered. Certain bikes like the 2006 KX450F or the 2013 CRF450R had suspension so bad I wouldn't want to even ride them through the parking lot TOO the track, let alone on the track. How do things like that get released?
Such great insight. Thank you for sharing.
I remember when tracks would shut down in so cal during the day for the quad practice, they would ruin all the lines, lol
That was Dope!!!!!
I love hearing Ross's stories
Wonderful interview
Very interesting interview! Well done Don. Your so good for the sport man. Your always cool to me and everyone at the races. Keep doing what your doing!
They look just alike u can tell Don rides a lot by how much darker he is lol I hate that happened to his brother glad to c he’s still involved with the sport!! Cool to have your brother on the show man✊🏽Love the show great interviews💪🏽

WE NEED MORE ROSS MAEDA!!!
Very cool, insightful content. Thanks!
Super cool! Thanks
Can't wait to get my 22 YZ250 and have suspension dialed.
Same, I have to take mine in cause im too heavy for the stock springs and almost died over jumping a triple. Its just so hard to not have my bike to ride for over a week so I’ve been putting it off….decisions are hard haha
@@straightnobraker4677 completely understand! Im coming off a 01 Cr250 which has actually been a monster and upset many in 30+ 250b 450b haha but man I just need something more competitive and can get parts for next 30yrs. Im 5 10 160 so stock usually can make work but having tuned is worth more than any mod IMO. Looking to buy over winter here and been looking at YZ for long time. Pumped 🤘
@@derailleurmind0454 Dude, I got my 2022 a few months ago and it is ridiculously fun and fast. I got it for the same reasons though. I love that they use the same platform so parts will be available for a long time. First mod was the vforce reeds for me and that made the engine work to purrrrfection
@@derailleurmind0454 also, I have the '93 cr 250 that I still ride but not at the track anymore, its still a rocket ship though
Please put these interviews on your podcast feed! Please, please, please!!!
How are you liking that Levo Pro?
1996 Ross revalved my Wr250. My first ever new bike and first suspension work. I remember trippin out on how much time he spent on asking me what the bike was doing..I was a nevous novice d37 desert guy worked in irvine and his shop was so close down in santa ana. I Raced it a ton. Moved to i.e.. Some reason took my forks to Crapparal to get them serviced. Week following G.P at Glen helen was racing mid pack hit a not to crazy g out and the front end just completely blows through the stroke and I endow and f****** hit my head so hard I didn't even know who the f*** I was anywho yeah concussion and some other owweez. Eye opener on who i would ever touch my stuff again. The damper rod came unscrewed from to cap. So the guy prob scimped on the jam nut.. Learned how to work on my own stuff after that.. I like Ross always been a fan.
