I'm convinced the best version of the story is the one where they're all in separate houses and still become best friends, that's a point that starts being made in the 4th book and never really comes to pass Edit: Neville would also be the 4th member and the Griffindor of the group
It always felt like a waste that they never really become friends with kids from other house, even though you see other cross-house friendships and they are definitely around them. Having Harry be a Slytherin would hopefully allow for more than like one good Slytherin in the books.
@TangentialTif exactly, and Hermione being a Ravenclaw means the only ones won't be Cho who is a plot point more than a character and Luna the resident "I forgot about Ravenclaw until book 5" character A lot of the characters who get better personified are also ones we tend to see outside of Hogwarts, a lot of the adults feel more fleshed out than other students and especially if they aren't in the same year or house as the trio
What if James survived? Maybe he had to talk to The Order or Dumbledore about something but he comes home to find Lily dead and Harry scarred. Or perhaps Voldemort didn't deem a wandless James Potter worthy enough to deserve a death sentence at the hands of Lord Voldemort and decided a better form of torture would be to live with the knowledge his wife and child died because he failed to protect them and uses petrificus totalus to keep him out of the way then once the spell wears off, he finds Voldemort gone, Lily dead and Harry scarred. How much would things change with James still around?
I appreciate all the effort that went into this. The part that is giving me trouble is that some of these things seem forced to hit certain plot points that happen in the originals. For instance: Charlie writing "to my youngest brother" instead of just "to harry" so that ron can snitch on harry and get him sent into the forest to see Quirrell/Voldemort. It feels way more likely that that get rid of Norbert without a hitch, never get detention, and never see voldemort in the forest.
This is a problem I've had with a lot of their "what if?" theories, not just this one. Like in their "What if Harry was in Slytherin" series, they made a bunch of changes in the Prisoner of Azkaban episode that looked like they were on course to dramatically improve the ending of the book, but still engineered things to play out functionally the same as usual because of their whole thing about predictions always needing to happen, which I've never liked as a rule specifically because it ends up railroading bits of the story.
Am I the only one who feels like this had a very strong start, but didn't really land the ending? They are really stretching and twisting magic and a lot of ways we know it doesn't work.
Yeah, this felt like it went off the rails, with specifically the part with the Cup and the Phoenix Tears being what lost me. I expected significant rewrites and even contrivance given that this is just a fanfiction at the end of the day. But that scene really felt like the point where things went from “contrived, but grounded” to “making it up wholesale”.
@kacpikachu5951 I mean, it was completely out of left field, but is there any evidence that phoenix tears couldn't destroy a Horcrux? It's a stretch that Fawkes wouldn't have destroyed the Harry one in the Chamber, but the explanation that it takes a lot of tears is good enough for me. For me, the bigger jump was all of the founders' objects being connected to the Sorting Hat, only because I find it hilarious that if that were true in the original timeline, Dumbledore could have just used students from the different houses to knock out four Horcruxes at once.
@kacpikachu5951 right? The idea that both the cup and the sword have the same power to present themselves but it's never mentioned is...odd. and they have the sacrificial protection working in ways we know it doesnt. Idk. I think they missed the mark.
I actually wonder what would happen if Hermione was sorted into Slytherin. I know she's a muggleborn, but she was almost a hat stall. I doubt that was only between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. She was also the first of any of them to be sorted so had no idea where the others would be placed. She is ambitious and cunning. She trapped Skeeter in a jar for a whole summer, and also set up a contract that would jinx you if you snitched.
I had the opportunity to watch these videos and I knew for a fact that this would happen and I made sure I waited for the full story so I don’t miss anything
How could Ron OR Draco weild the sword when neither of them in this situation were in Gryffindor? When y'all imagined Harry in Slytherin, Harry himself couldnt weild the sword because he wasn't in Gryffindor.
So the next logical series of videos is Hermione in ravenclaw, then could we do all of the golden trio in their respective houses and Neville in Gryffindor, with the catalyst of friendship being the remembral. Then the message of all together being better than one divided is really driven home 🤌🏼 it just sounds so complete as a story
Okay tbh, this will be my 3rd or 4th time watching this series, great work brothers. Is it safe to assume that 'What if Hermione was is Ravenclaw' will be coming next year? It was this year itself when I read the books and as soon as I discovered your channel, have been binging all the videos. Keep up the great work, much love from India.
Now you have done Harry in Slytherin and Harry in Hufflepuff, you should have plans to finish the trio. Seeing how the story would change with Hermione in Ravenclaw. First, I know Harry and Ron would have a harder time in class.
I'm at the maze and had to stop as I'm screming OMG RON IS GOING TO TAKE CEDRIC'S PLACE IN THE CEMENTERY TOOOOOOOOOO, Im scared of pressing play again.
Awesome series just like the last (Harry Potter in Slytherin) Definitely should do Hermione in Ravenclaw and (if you can figure out how) all three combined.
I have a Harry Potter question (I’m sure this is answered in the books and I just forgot about it, but it’s been bugging me for awhile and I had to ask) Why does Dumbledore not know that Peter Pettigrew was the Potter’s secret keeper? (If this was answered in the books could someone tell me where it is mentioned)
I think Neville in Gryffindor would be better for the story, but I could be wrong on that. I don't think draco would even let the sorting hat sort him into Gryffindor, like Harry wouldn't let the hat sort him into Slytherin, and he has an easy fix, just not tell him it's an evil house. Draco on the other hand, wouldn't want to disappoint his father so I don't think he would.
@CosmicMercury56 Picture it this way: In the first book, the hat calls Slytherin before it's even on Draco's head. Maybe the same thing happens except with Gryffindor, and there's no evidence of anyone overturning the hat's decision.
On the other hand, of Harry being was raised by a different family. What if the Malfoys raised Harry? Would Draco and Harry have a good relationship? Or would Draco dislike Harry, since Harry being raised by the Malfoys could be seen as the second coming of a Dark Lord? After all, Harry would likely now have a similar mindset to Draco since he would taught by his father.
H1B visa employees VASTLY underperform domestic talent. However companies that use them outperform bc they get 3-4 employees at $40/hr compared to one American at $200k
What if Ron was sorted into hufflepuff and Hermione is sorted into raven ravenclaw and Harry is sorted into griffindoor and they still remain friends and Draco becomes friends with them so a group of friends that are in different houses
@coolnerdlll6053 yeah I wasn't allowed to watch them as a kid and I'm so far behind now lol but I've heard nothing but great things about the series my whole life!
What if Hermione was in the year above Harry and Ron and Luna was in Harry's year? As a result of Hogwarts using the Scottish year group groupings as opposed to the English i.e. what if JK was Scottish and not English?
I don’t understand this Ron is the Hufflepuff and Harry is the Slytherin of their group theory. What they see in the mirror of Erised shows the opposite.
"This theory doesn't make sense because the source material says otherwise." Well, duh, they were WRITTEN that way. Theories go off source material and bring in hypotheticals.
I really want to see how big of a difference it would make if, the Dursleys treated Harry like a son, as Dumbledore asked if them in the letter to Petunia
WE NEED DRACO IN GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, Lily's friend Mary could have taken him, it would be a good idea for Mary to take Harry, but I bet dumbledore didn't like that idea.
I want to propose the most unlikely What-If-Scenario to you guys: Draco Malfoy in Gryffindor. It does not matter how high and mighty he seems, let him be a golden boy for a bit.
I'm convinced the best version of the story is the one where they're all in separate houses and still become best friends, that's a point that starts being made in the 4th book and never really comes to pass

Agreed. Harry in Slytherin, Ron in Hufflepuff, Hermione in ravenclaw, and Neville the chosen one in Gryffindor.
Neville the chosen one would be awesome
So far my favorite is Harry in Slytherin
We NEED Hermione in Ravenclaw next. And then maybe all three house switches at the same time?
The all 3 houses alongside for one story would be fantastic, with Neville as the Griffindor
Yesss
Only problem with Hermione in Ravenclaw is it's much harder to connect to Harry and the plot at all if she's not in Gryffindor
It would only work if harry was also in ravenclaw and maybe that would lead to the ship between them @Zack-dw5op
I love both of those ideas
I'd love to see a What if Dudley was a Wizard?
I had lost track of this, good to catch up during the holiday cleaning
Now this means that you have to do What If Hermione was in Ravenclaw
THIS🦅

I would love to watch them explore this
You are a genius
i also need this

At their core they are all the same people just in different houses thus different experinces @jamma.77
2:12:28 that Voldemort laugh meme never stops being funny
"Hehaha!"

@coolnerdlll6053 thats not how that works. By your logic, submerging a horcrux in soda is just a viable, because there's no evidence against it.
Now just waiting for "What if Hermione was in Ravenclaw " and " What if Dumbledore was sorted into Slytherin "...
I definitely wanted the Dumbledore in slytherin
This was an unexpected gem of a story and I look forward to the next time you do this kind of thing
Still can’t say that Krum with 13 year old Ginny isn’t creepy
14 year old Hermione isn't better
@ It isn’t but instead of it being someone like Cho who would’ve been a 2 year gap, they made it worse not better
Ron in Hufflepuff is one of my fav series ever! Love it!

A great story that STILL NEEDS AN EPILOGUE
I love this so much!! "Neville's on the floor. DEAD. JKKK" or the "Yeah it's our story, Arthur punched him in the face"
You know what else is massive?
The low taper fade meme.
I had the opportunity to watch these videos and I knew for a fact that this would happen and I made sure I waited for the full story so I don’t miss anything
Banger Idea: How about Draco in GRYFFINDOR?
What's next Peter Pettigrew
There's absolutely no way that's even possible his dad would disown him
@@BoomBoom-ym5oy in a what if it's possible and I think it be interesting to see what someone could come up with
so what im hearing is that Ron should have been sorted into hufflepuff
How could Ron OR Draco weild the sword when neither of them in this situation were in Gryffindor? When y'all imagined Harry in Slytherin, Harry himself couldnt weild the sword because he wasn't in Gryffindor.
Yessss I’ve been waiting to watch any of this until the full story was released I’m so excited!!!!!
39:22 "I fear we've been given too much power."
Yeaaaaah 😂
Are you going to upload a What if... every weak again or not?
I haven't watched a single one of the other videos specifically to watch this one. Let's goooooo
I'm a big fan of the super-cuts!
Here I was thinking I was being original then I read through the comments 😅😵
Okay tbh, this will be my 3rd or 4th time watching this series, great work brothers.
Is it safe to assume that 'What if Hermione was is Ravenclaw' will be coming next year?
It was this year itself when I read the books and as soon as I discovered your channel, have been binging all the videos.
Keep up the great work, much love from India.
This was so much fun😄😄❤
Once you finish the golden trio, I would love a "What if Draco got sorted into Griffindoor" story🥺😄
Can you do what if Hermione was in Ravenclaw please😊
HEY BROTHER! Love your compilations 😊😊😊
Wouldn’t NevilleXParvarti just be Peverell!!?
2:23:31 holy cow, you gotta stop with the AI art because that is terrifying and also we need to support actual artists.
26:09 anyone else thought their screen was cracked for a second? Love this what if
You should do "What if Sirius found baby Harry before Hagrid"
Great series guys! Can't wait For the next one🎉🎉🎉🎉
Man I wish I had waited for the full instead of watching week by month or however long it took 😂
Same I tried but I caved in and watched it when the 2nd part came out
the edits are hilarious.
With harry in Slytherin and ron in Hufflepuff next is obviously Hermione in Ravenclaw. But could you do what if Draco was in Gryffindor somehow
Loved the series. Can't wait to see more
Does this mean "What if Hermione was in Ravenclaw" is next?? 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Happy Holidays!! 🎉
I normally don't watch the super cuts but literally all I could remembrr was Jeff 😂😂😂😂😂 whoops. Spicy brain win?
il give you a video idea "what if hermione was in ravenclaw"
This is about half my workshift! Lets go!
I need this. It helps me relax for some rest.
LOVE your What ifs❤❤❤
If Harry does go to live with the Weasleys then how would he have his mother’s protection over him?
He wouldn't but voldermort still wouldn't have a body
Now you have done Harry in Slytherin and Harry in Hufflepuff, you should have plans to finish the trio. Seeing how the story would change with Hermione in Ravenclaw. First, I know Harry and Ron would have a harder time in class.
I'd love to see a what if the Weasleys didn't turn around to go pick up Jenny's diary at the beginning of Chamber of Secrets
Happy holidays supercarlinbros and a joyous new year🎉
Need more what ifs tbh
19:31 badger hole 🤣
could you maybe do what if Sirius was harry's guardian from the start, like instead of going to the Dursleys, Sirius gets harry instead
Ron Was Cedric Until The Ending Of Goblet Of Fire THEN He Became Harry
I know it's a long shot, but I'd really like to see what y'all would do with Dudley being a wizard.
Ahhh mazing!
I'm at the maze and had to stop as I'm screming OMG RON IS GOING TO TAKE CEDRIC'S PLACE IN THE CEMENTERY TOOOOOOOOOO, Im scared of pressing play again.
I did not think this one was over 3 hours long
Awesome series just like the last (Harry Potter in Slytherin) Definitely should do Hermione in Ravenclaw and (if you can figure out how) all three combined.
We need an epilogue for this
Guys I've painted an entire room with this as a background 💪
The sword of Gryffindor was found in the Rust Belt!!!!!!!!
I’ve been waiting on this full story video!🔥🔥🔥
I have a Harry Potter question (I’m sure this is answered in the books and I just forgot about it, but it’s been bugging me for awhile and I had to ask)
Why does Dumbledore not know that Peter Pettigrew was the Potter’s secret keeper?
(If this was answered in the books could someone tell me where it is mentioned)
The only "complain" I have is that Hermione should have been in Ravenclaw. Maybe all the trio being in their representative house at the same time
And Draco in Gryffindor. To anyone who says it's not possible, Sirius would like a word with you.

It’s like yall knew I had a scarf to knit and released a 3+ hour video 🤭
What if Malfoy was in gryffindoor
H1B visa employees VASTLY underperform domestic talent. However companies that use them outperform bc they get 3-4 employees at $40/hr compared to one American at $200k
You need to give us an epilogue
What if Ron was sorted into hufflepuff and Hermione is sorted into raven ravenclaw and Harry is sorted into griffindoor and they still remain friends and Draco becomes friends with them so a group of friends that are in different houses
That looks like a Weasley jumper to me with that big B on it.
Unfortunately I've yet to see a single Harry Potter movie.......
You should get on that. They're good. Not all of them are great, but that's gonna happen with eight movies.
@coolnerdlll6053 yeah I wasn't allowed to watch them as a kid and I'm so far behind now lol but I've heard nothing but great things about the series my whole life!
These what ifs are better than the movies

Not really. It shows your greatest Desire. Ron's greatest desire is to stand out from his family.
Ambitious of him with his family... While Harry is empathetic to everyone
