    Nice little gazebo! ❤❤❤❤
    I strapped a tv onto my saxony gazebo with the ZeboZAP gazebo tv mount that didn’t require any drilling. 🎉
    Love the outdoor tv setup now. Quick 10 minute work gave me lots of moral boost. 😂😂😂

    Great video. Very informative. I just put together the XL version..well 75% it kicked my butt doing it mainly by my self. Even with your advice on using making tape for the metal bar’s, I almost raged like Homer Simpson when he was trying to build his outdoor pit 😂 I really appreciate this video. Wish me luck on the roof lol.

      Hi Jay, thanks for the kind words. I'm getting the XL version, I saw it on the website the other day--nice! Yes, I had a little challenge with the metal bars as well. The roof appears a bit intimidating, but it'll be pretty easy. Since its the XL you may want to get a second person to prop up the corner for you. Then you'll be able to lift your corner, move yourself to the middle and push it up. I don't know if you saw the Roof Lift part of the video....you can use the Force, I used my Jedi Powers to lift it. See video at 06:17

    Wow this is very thorough video. I put mine together today using the Built app. That was a great idea to put tape on the poles under the shelves. I had a heck of a time getting those poles to cooperate. I installed the electric box but I can’t figure out what that flip-down thing is for on the bottom of it? Any idea?

    • @PapaStroh
      @PapaStroh  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sonja, good for you. If you look on page 9 of the owner's manual you will see a list of items that you need-don't forget safety glasses. This includes, level, hammer, T-square, screw driver, ladder, rubber mallet, tape measure, and corded drill, but you will also need a socket wrench (and a wrench and/or open ended wrench) specifically with 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, and 7/16 sockets. There are dedicated tool stores that you can purchase these tools like Harbor Freight for a very reasonable price sometimes they have whole tool kits. In some of the set up tips in the video, you'll see me using a large spring clamp and ratchet clamp (not expensive) it really helped me since I did it all by myself. As for the ladder you can use a step ladder or a platform ladder (like a short step ladder) of reasonable height. You will need gloves for handling the aluminum sheets for the roof and you will need a second person to help you lift the roof into place. Use both the app and manual to instruct you and take your time and be safe- you'll do great! Hope this helps, best of luck, and God bless!

    Thanks for the video. I bought the same one last week from sams. The wood was nicked up and scratched pretty good. Also the thru bolts and studs are pretty cheap metal, I recommend shooting some wd-40 before assembly. All in all I think it looks ok. Does the roof keep out rain?

    • @PapaStroh
      @PapaStroh  2 года назад +2

      Hi 8, thanks for the advice on the WD40, great idea--wish I would've thought of that. My build produced a bunch of scratches (along with the ones out of the box), easy fix with Coffee Stain, though. Yeap, the roof does keep the rain off from overhead, but it'll sneak in from the sides....snow too. It does real good in high winds, as long as you anchor it down. As far as looks, you can dress it up. I added automated cafe lights (with Alexa), cook timer, magnetic grill tool holders, and use a portable TV. (other stuff, I'll do a video on it later) I think you'll be real happy with your Gazebo. Best of luck, stay safe, and God bless.

      Hi Liam, thanks for the kind words. They are both made by Backyard Discovery see links below. I got them both at Sam's Club. Both Gazebo and Pergola look awesome at night with color changeable Cafe Lights. It really sets the mood for BBQs and "Get Togethers." I have my Cafe Lights set up with WIFI outdoor dual plugs so I can turn them on with Alexa voice command. Will do a video on that soon, I already shot it just need to put it together. Also, you can see on the video at night I have Solar Torches (blue) attached to the large Pergola--they're pretty cool. Best of luck on the outdoor area! Hope you publish a video or two to let us see the end result. Take care!

    Just took 7 hours by myself to install the whole thing. In regards to the roof, how did you drill holes in the roof panels without pre drilled holes?

    • @PapaStroh
      @PapaStroh  2 года назад +2

      Hi AJXPinto! Excellent job, 7 hours by yourself is not bad at all--great job! I responded to you in this video with examples, ruclips.net/video/jCSdSTw-zew/видео.html
      In regards to pre-drilling, the panels have pre-drilled holes but the Edge Trim does not. You're provided with self-tapping screws, which are pretty good without the pre-drill. You may want to use a center punch (automatic) to mark the location where you'll fasten, you'll see in the video.

    • @PrecisionToolJ

      Did you bolt it to a concrete floor?
      Also were you able to lift the roof up and slide it from the back by yourself.
      I only ask because someone has asked to hire me to put this together. I have no idea what to charge them. Any ideas? Thanks guys

    • @PapaStroh
      @PapaStroh  2 года назад

      @@PrecisionToolJ Hi 3D, yes I used concrete anchors to bolt to the concrete. The package contains 16 concrete anchor screws. The instructions are on Page 16 of the manual. You'll need to pre-drill using a 3/16" Concrete drill bit. Charge for installation, you're looking at an average of about 7 hours minimum so depending on your hourly rate plus additionals like anchoring to the concrete. As far as the roof, its a two man lift but it will easily lift up into place from the back and will only take a couple of minutes to get up there. Let me know if you need any additional information, video, or photos. Best of luck, stay safe, and God bless!

      Hi Buzz, If you review the instruction manual, steps 13-17 you'll see that the L Brackets on the Rails attach to the post providing the stability. The table sits on the L Bracket and is fastened to the rail and post through the L Bracket. The bracket supports both. Is it possible to assemble the roof frame then put the panels on?

    • @PapaStroh
      @PapaStroh  Год назад

      Hi JP, I am assuming you mean after installing the roof frame on top of the Gazebo. The manufacturer recommends attaching the panels after assembling the roof frame on the ground. However, installing them (in the way you described) might be an acceptable variation if you have the proper equipment and gear to elevate you to attach the screws. Please remember that the roof panels are very sharp. I would recommend following the manufacturer's instructions. Best of luck, stay safe, and God bless!
