Awe, you’re doing great! I’m sure it might not feel so at times.
But you are strong . One step at a time. Try not to get too far ahead of yourself ..

Remember your why. At the beginning you said this summer was an adventure with Largo before he spreads his wings and goes off on his own life. Well guess what, you have already achieved that 🎉. Remember that what ever happens with the rest of your adventure you have achieved your primary objective. You and Largo will never forget this summer.

My adult special needs daughter and I watch you guys and she loves your pink hair. You say exactly what I tell everybody every day you may as well have your glass half full as half empty because it's the same problems just put a positive spin on them and you can get through it. Positivity lifts your spirits and helps Things become better. I live in so much pain I can't go hiking anymore everything is all full of arthritis and knee Replacements and back is wrecked but I get up each day and my autistic adult son gives me my insulin every morning and I spend my day doing things like a huge Garden this year and we needed a new doorstep so I decided to build it myself and well it's now a huge deck and part of its framed up for screen room and I have to build a roof on it today. I should not be capable of doing these things with my disabilities but keeping my daughter happy and keeping life positive I manage. You cannot sit on the couch and wait to die you have to get out there and grab life and live it. So proud of you guys and just love that you're spending that time together with your son. Keep spreading that positivity more people need to know about it big hugs and cheers to you guys❤

It seems, from watching a lot of other thru hikers hike the AT, that they all have the same mental struggle coming to terms with slowing down in the whites and sections after, an most are used to doing 20+ miles a day. So try not to be so hard on yourself cause you’re not the only one with the same thoughts about your mileage. Some of them, their whole video was stressing about mileage and not getting the miles, and how to make up the miles because some areas ahead are known to slow you down. I hope everything works out a you both make it to the end together. We are all rooting for you!

I have full confidence you're going to finish this trail, both of you. I think skipping to NH was an excellent decision, too. Hiking with a messy stomach is worse than the inconvenience of needing to potty, imo, you're also dealing with water and electrolyte issues which could take a few days to iron out. I think this amplified your exhaustion by 10. I'm so glad you're hiking with Largo. Being together probably made all the difference in the world.
Congratulations on making it through a VERY hard day

You are positivity and light, all day, everyday! Even when you're down your vulnerability and transparency shine through which is even more light but just in a different way. Your perseverance will get you through, this I know! Just focus on what's ahead and walk the trail. Love you sunshine, love you captain, Nan

Had to take a screen shot of you at 12:00! Soooo cute! A definite thru-hiker pose!
I DO know what that "fragile, humbling" feeling feels like - to me it was just shear exhaustion. The rest after the end will revitalize all.
The Whites aren't really "technical" just physically difficult, but nothing no one but small toddlers can't do. And the thing is, is that the MAGNIFICENT views TOTALLY compensate for it and mystically refuel all they depleted. It will be a magnificent experience. Don't fear them ALL!

You look so comfy sitting like that! I have no doubt that you two are going to finish by your mystery date! I love Rice Krispie treats too! I stay at a hotel and they are always in the welcome bag with other snacks. They don’t last 5 minutes in the hotel room. I tear into it as soon as I get settled in. The other snacks will last for days but not that Rice Krispie treat! Love hearing about the soda man! Have watched many AT hikers but have never heard of him. Wished you could’ve filmed him. What a sweet man. An ice cold coke has to taste amazing when you’re hiking! Girl, you got this! You’re going to climb Mt Kathdin with Largo!

I don’t remain positive . Some folks think of me a a glass half empty type . But when you get to know me , you find out that I am no nonsense, very “salt of the earth “, I say what I mean and mean what I say . So , I always PLAN for the worst ( which some think is negative ) … but hope for the best. And it usually works .
I wish I were there I would slack pack you the rest of the way .
After I drive you to MT K and point you southbound 😂.

Curious if you've ever tried Lactaid tabs for managing the lactose/dairy intolerance? It helps me. Just found your channel, and I'm looking forward to the rest of your thru hike as well as catching up on past adventures. Happy trails to you both!

I’m sure you’ve realized by now (if you’re delaying your vlog) that the super technical stuff is up ahead after Moosilauke. Just remember…you’ll get there with one step in front of the other. The Whites are not as scary as everyone makes it out to be. It’s a fun jungle gym of rocks 😁
