You clearly see parents not only in the pick up/drop off lane but blocking the right lane of traffic as well. Parents are the worse at schools, 50% can't wait cut in front of others or block traffic because they have no consideration of others. Secondly the school has failed to plan or manage parent flow of traffic during these times. This happens at the elementary school at the end of my block. No clear procedures has parents blocking traffic for all the residents twice a day.
They gave tickets to the SCS parks and Rec playground program to parents dropping off kids too. Some of them were special needs. I am resident and this is a disgrace!!
I’m a resident of St. Clair Shores and my son goes to the Avalon elementary and we’ve received a total of 4 parking tickets and when we called them to see where the tickets came from, she said that she couldn’t give us the location where me parked “illegally” This is sad and I never blocked traffic nor park illegal. Something has to be done about this.
I also received a ticket my first time picking up my grandson so now I park at Dollar General and let him walk. The police also sit in the parking lot of the school and for what???? I can agree that it's really congested at a certain time and they will run you over... Something need to be done!

I am one of these parents. I've had about 5 tickets and paid them. Single mom of 4 kids it isn't easy.
