Love this quote Part 1 "To listen fully means to pay close attention to what is being said beneath the words. You listen not only to the 'music,' but to the essence of the person speaking. You listen not only for what someone knows, but for what he or she is. Ears operate at the speed of sound, which is far slower than the speed of light the eyes take in.

Bill Frisell's ability to express him self through words is in sharp contrast to his ability to express himself through music on guitar. Reminds me a bit of J. Masics from Dinosaur Jr. in that aspect who is also an amazing guitarist and one of my favorite guitarist too, though that's rock. Also Bill Frisell seems like a really nice person.

I'm not sure why you spent time bothering to watch an interview of him then, rather than recording yet another video of yourself in front of a room divider playing Christmas tunes and copping Wes Montgomery licks.
