Greg: _sees ridiculous PC listing_
Everyone else: *Aw shit here we go again*
WTS: Core i3 8100 + GTX 1050 Ti, _BEAST MODE_ Core P90 case, and LIGHADSNTNING FAST STORAGE. $1800. No low ballers... I KNOW WHAT I GOT!
EDIT: Stay for bloopers at the end 🤪
Yes
It’s insane how it’s that much of a mishmash of a build, but either way, it’s an insane price to match
Hey man, that 1050 Ti is a total beast of a card. I bet it runs circles around the 1660 Ti in my Asus laptop!
That's basically my PC but mine has a 1050😓
Patrick Williamson god I saw a guy post an Fx 8350 with a 970 saying its an 8 core that can still compete with a 2700x and the 970 “goes for over $500 on newegg still” and he was posting his build for like $1200, messaged him and sent him true prices and he took it off the market the next day lololololol
pc is actually worth $5 and a twix bar
Golden comment of the century i can't breath 😂😂🤣🤣
Actually 275 bugs if he had a normal case
wait we talking an individual twix or the whole package
nimrodery the right twix bar
All his money went to RGB keyboard mouse and an RGB chair that boosts your clock speed by +2GHz
Well I see why its so high priced it has that nice us marine corps sticker and a VMFA-312 sticker
Probably not even a Marine, just likes to fly F-18s in DCS.
@@CoreZer0 on that I doubt
Sounds like stolen valor.
That USMC sticker says it all. MARINE - Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not Essential
@@docferringer considering you have to score a 60 on the a.s.v.a.b. just to get into the Marines and Navy. Only a 30 for army and air force...so your statement is factually wrong.
I kinda miss the days when you'd review more than 1 of these sales in a single video...
Everybody knows, the RGB ram will make that i3 run super fast. LOL
Holy cr*p, when I saw that cpu I got a big throw back to the box cutter cpu memes.
Yooooo I 'member!
Ah yes, the good ol i3-7350K box cutter. Or was it a 7300? I have a hard time remembering crappy CPU's
i3 8100 is much better value than a 7350K lol
Lmfao I literally gasped at the thumbnail 🤮😂👏🏿
$1800 for a 1050ti... That's all that I'm focused on, because you would have to be in a car accident with serious head trauma to buy into this scam. 😂

Love these my videos man. Its amazing how many people out there would fall for this garbage. You'e doing the PC gaming community a great service!
Thanks for the support!
I wanna see you rip into a blinged out Honda in the same fashion as this video but anytime you get to why, just be like "....it's a Honda...".
I know these types of videos get a lot of views and I enjoy them every now and then, but is this now the main focus of the channel? Just roasting shitty for sale posts? I miss ScienceStudio and all the interesting experiments/tests, PC builds, reviews, etc.
You wouldnt be saying that if you knew what kind of year or two he had outside of youtube. First he marries his european girlfriend. His childhood home gets damaged in a hurricane. He builds himself a home. He has to get his soon to be expecting wife an US citizenship. Now as a father in a new home, you expect him to make long format videos. I only know these things based on videos and his social media accounts. A green screen video is quick and easy.
@@MarkeD213BustA I already knew all that and I still said it. These videos are entertaining in moderation but that's been the majority of the content. Thank God he did an NZXT build lately to break it up. Most of Greg's subs already know how to build their own PCs and know these are bad deals. These videos are just for PC enthusiasts to circle jerk to idiots that overvalue their hardware. That's not why I subscribed and so I want to voice my opinion.
5 or 6 years. Damn you make me feel old. I've been building PCs since the 80s.

You all don't understand the chair has been farted on so it's much more valuable
how do you find such amazing deals smh
Called look!!! Research parts
He followed the $2000 PC build guide from @the verge where they spend double the amount on ram than on the CPU and GPU.
Hey, a mans gotta eat. How else do you sell garbage if you don't polish it?
Even building a pc at cyberpower.com for that price i can build a 10x better pc with a 2070.
the included bloopers at the end are hilarious add them to other videos!!
Lmao this was in my area i seen it and laughed so hard i think he’s trying to get somebody who knows nothing about pc’s just because the case is dope tbh
It is dope for real, so dope that I dont know the purpose with that kind of PC case ????
Love these type of videos.
the guy is better off stripping the whole system and selling it as parts. maybe keep a few if you are willing to build a new one
I love these videos. I go online now just to find these kind of ‘deals’ and troll people 👍
How do I send you overpriced build? Twitter? I have someone selling a 1600 with a uATX A320 plus RX480 for 700USD
Twitter or FB :-)
Your getting sued again 😂😂
Love the new approach in the video ,awesome work ,keep up the great work :)
So this $1800 machine he's selling is basically not much better then my $280 HP 8200 Elite Emulation build featuring a i5 2400, 8gb 1333mhz RAM, 250gb SSD, 750gb Hard Drive, and a Low Profile GTX 1650.
So, let's say I want to sell my old system. FX 6350 processor, 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz, ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, Thermaltake Overseer RXi chasis, a Hyper212 EVO CPU cooler, and a pretty basic 500W power supply (no, I don't think it's bronze+ or higher certified :( ). Considering it can't do much these days, it would just make a halfway-decent computer to sit around in a home and be used for writing documents or browsing the web. Maybe a game or 2. MAYBE. Clearly though, the system lacks any GPU or Storage. So, I was thinking of pricing things as follows:
Fx 6350: $25
ASUS M5A97 R2.0: $30
Hyper 212 EVO: $10
16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz: $20
Thermaltake Overseer RXi chasis: $10 (low because power button not working due to a loose wire; easily fixable, but I don't have the tools to do so).
My questions then to the comments is: does this seem a fair price? (total: $95) I am assuming I can't go higher.
Hi Greg, please talk about this in one of your future videos:
vancouver.craigslist.org/pml/sys/d/coquitlam-north-msi-gaming-radeon-rx/7062646014.html
Looking forward to it. Please and thank you.
I highly recommend NOT buying used SSD's off craigslist or from anywhere for that matter. Go buy new SSD's from computer stores. I bought one from a seller on craigslist who posted as a "slightly used" SSD and it had approximately 70TB written to it. They sold me a 256GB SSD M.2 NVME. Obviously, they used it as a cache drive on their NAS. According to Samsung (It was a Samsung SDD) the SSD is warrantied for 100TB written. So the SSD was not "slightly used", more like "Over used".
Had some dude on FB marketplace post a '4k ready gaming PC'
GTX 970 4gb, 16gb RAM, i7 4770k...
Everyone called him out for it saying that a 970 won't play (the majority of) games at 4k, and he didn't care at all. Some people are just scumbags trying to get every last cent out of unsuspecting people, they know what they're doing full well.

@@broccolibeefcake personally i have no problem with edits. I find them quite enjoyable.
I feel like they either got random parts as gifts, or had NO idea what the hell they were doing... I had a few people when I worked at Micro Center come in with build lists kinda like this, and it often took a bit to convince them that they could do better.
And I think your statement of "if you're spending twice as much on your case as you are on your CPU, there's a problem" is generally accurate... The only time I can think of it not really being crazy is if you're building a dual system in the Corsair 1000D, and getting a 3900X, then you have a $1000 case with a $500 CPU. But then you're also likely spending $2-5k on the total build, and likely a secondary streaming system in the mITX part... Special case.
For an even better value for the money for very cheap, I put together a gaming PC with a Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU which is also 4 cores 4 threads, 4 gb ram, and a GTX 570. For me, those Core 2 Quads still perform well even today. They are like the 0th gen core i7s.
Even sillier, he is only asking $40 for a 1/2TB MX500 SSD!
Which is barely 2 years old! (judging by the amount he paid for it, can't be more than a year old!)
WOW! H310 💀 If he would at least got a Z370 he could have sold the i3 and 1050 ti and buy a 8700K Oc it to 5GHz and get at least a 2060 Super 😬
I think it might be a case of the guy that built it not know what he is doing period. This is why only IT profestionals with A++ certs should build computers, and not home users.

G'day Greg,
I agree with your comments on used peripherals, especially Headphones as they have already had someones Sweaty Ears inside them 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢,
the other problem I have with ads like these is when people try to sell used PCs for more than New prices, anyone willing to buy used at New + Builders Cost is 🤪 Crazy in my Opinion, If you are going to pay New + Builders Cost get a 🥰 New PC, Here in Sydney, Australia there are a couple of Shops you can purchase custom Pre-Built PCs with a Build fee & Warranty for $150AUD above the cost of parts
It looks like he did a build, have a bunch of good leftover parts (changed his mind on the case and couldn't return it), then bought the cheapest possible parts required to assemble another machine in order to sell it and recoup some of the cost
I thought I got a good 100 Euro deal-combo on an i3 8100 with a Z370-I motherboard. Combined it with a 50 euro fractal design node 202, a 40 Euro 350W Bequiet Sfx-Psu, 2x250 Samsung ssds I had laying around an a set of new Corsair vengeance 3200Mhz 2x8gb. I use it as a media-pc, so I think the ram might be little overkill. Might combine it with a gpu and an i5 in the future.
Nice video. Why must people always try to do this crap? I wouldn't be able to live with my self if I did something like this.
Sometimes an odd hardware paring has an appropriate purpose. Though from your perspective it may not be obvious. For example I have:
i5 7600k at 4.4ghz
32gb Ram 3000mhz
Three 500gb ssds
4tb hdd

It's kind of ridiculous. People trying to sell ancient shit at insane prices. "GAMING LAPTOP, $1000!" and it's a 1050 with an 8th gen i5 and 8gb ram "RuNS EvReY GaME MaX sETTinGs!"
I could show you a good local ad I seen yesterday on FB marketplace that is a good laugh. Guy is asking an absurd price for a PC that a GTX 1060 making claims it plays games at max frame rates. Fails to say exactly which games he's referrng to. This guy is asking more for this PC than my RTX 2080 and 9600K build cost me to build. I don't know what makes some people think their shit is worth a pile of money.
Unscrupulous, or possible, ignorant, seller often take the defunct price shown by Amazon or Newegg when there is no market sellers selling an item. Punch in an i7 3770, and you get as high as $300. Silly asking prices in the absence of competition is not unusual, but we all know they are not realistic selling price. I have seen even worse examples - like a Radeon 7, and an arbitrary price of $1401.59 shows up on Amazon. Just an unscrupulous seller trying to take advantage of the inexperienced is all.
Diggin these vids not sure why maybe its that human train of watching someone elses trainwreck not yours but these dipsticks trying to palm off used Hardware as if its n\ew and fresh\
You are missing the one part which nobody can't replicate... Love.
So I will sell my Acer V3, 8GB, SSD 240 and GT640m 2Gb for 1500 bucks, because of love
$1800 and it looks that ugly? even my $600 rig look a lot beautiful than that (i used cheap $30 (Rp.500.000) case Tecware Nexus C white but boi as for aesthetic, it looks gorgeous with the full white theme) it just kinda sucks have to clean it more often than I like lol
So if I want to sell my pc with a zotac 1080 mini, i7 7700k, 16 gb trident z rgb (like in vid), 1.5 TB of ssd storage, and 5TB of HDD mass storage. Based on that alone, what do you think? lol
Currently in my country you can build a ryzen 7 3700x with an x570 motherboard and rtx 2070 also 1Tb Kingston m.2 nvme and 6Tb red hdd with 16gbs of ram at 3200mhz all of those cost around 1300 in my country currency.
My guess: His custom water loop broke and he lost his x570 board. So he took the board, chip and GPU out, swapped it with what he had laying around or upgraded from and put it up to make his money back! I am the Great CARNAC!
H310,B360 and B365 motherboards don't even allow you to run memory faster than 2666, so it's pointless really. Unless you're planning on upgrading to z370 or z390.
For $1600 plus a $200 build fee you could have a R7 3700X with a 2070 Super, a 256-512GB NVME M.2 for the boot and 32GB of memory, plus all the other H/W.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they didn't do enough research when building a PC, such as budget allocation to certain PC parts, misinformation or outdated information, and which components are MORE important. Otherwise, we end up like the Verge's build.
>USMC Sticker
I found yer problem right there.
LOL I was wondering about what was up with those two fans the whole time, then it was pointed out the seller even put in they are doing nothing xD There's another funny part in the ad, the part about the MX500 he'll "take $40 for". Pretty sure this guy got *way* more replies about just buying the SSD and next to none about the insanely-overpriced system.
Greg, your editing for your videos is top notch; I love the new format of these, and these PC ad videos are so entertaining to watch, keep up the great work!
This guy isnt going to stop until he getts sued again. MY KIND OF GUY!!!
Im looking at starting a pc building service on fb marketplace here in uk, let me know if this sounds good, my plan is starting with a lower end gaming pc about £400 selling for about £500/600 then creating a pc for about 700, selling for a little more slowly working up to more expensive builds
Sounds like he is trying to sell it to overclockers, but you can actually get a better deal with a gaming laptop from Walmart.
One thing to note in all these videos is that nobody buys things on facebook marketplace for list price. I have sold probably 2000 dollars of random stuff on marketplace and I have never gotten an offer for a piece of tech that was more than 65% of the asking price. While I agree this system is stupid, many sellers artificially inflate their price or descriptions just so they can get closer to the market value of the tech. By market value I mean ebay pricing. Many people just dont want to sell on ebay. I have personally held on to a 900 dollar laptop for a month and a half because I never got an offer over 350. Then someone offered 400 and I sold it to them.
I enjoy your content very much, but this content is frankly lazy. You are making videos about FB and Craigslist Posts that everyone already knows is bad. By taking a look at these posts, you are debunking a very simple guide. Sure it can be entertaining to be like, "Hey this guy is a moron" but when you do this every other week, it becomes tired. Ultimately, making videos about shitty PC posts is kind of lazy as they are easy to make fun of debunk and end up repeating the same talking points every time.
Yea, thats just dumb. My ACER Nitro 5 has an i5 9300H with a GTX 1050 and it cost about $650 from Best Buy 6+ months ago. $1800 is just dumb.
Greg : Parent to child - WE ARE SELLING THAT PC OF YOURS PUT UP AN AD NOW!!! Child that doesnt want to sell PC: Its listed DAD!
Looks like a first time pc builder this I can't even figure out the method for part selection that m.2 is killer "if using ryzen" that 1050ti is ok but if the case and ssd wasn't used a 1070 could have been purchased also that CPU and mobo are terrible choices with case and m.2 so ao terrible
Wow and I thought 750$cad was hi gh for a i3 8100 gtx1060 build... smh
So This site is new to me. I haven't really watched a ton of videos from you...So please forgive me if I'm a little harsh. So far I haven't seen anything that really brings me any value.Cheers to you for having a good site. And when I mean good site, I mean it looks like good production value. And it also means that it looks like you have a fair amount of followers, which is a great accomplishment. Again, this isn't a teardown. I am just Checking out the site. I do hope that in the near future I find other videos that are a bit more useful to me. So. Good luck and I hope all goes well. Stay healthy and. God bless your family.
The ricer of the PC world lmao
That Marine Corp sticker on the case easily adds 300 bucks to the price and if you say otherwise that you are UNAMERICAN! LuL
I'm basically the polar opposite of this guy. When I first built my PC I got literally the cheapest parts I could find so that I could afford a decent mid range CPU and GPU. This guy needs to get his priorities straight. I do too, but not as much as this guy does.
I don't know whether the guy is misinformed or just trying to double is expenses, but most people would put certain aspects into play, like age of hardware, usage and the like to roughly estimate the total selling price, or less. he's either stupid or a wannabe con artist. NEXT.
You’ve lost me with these type of videos. I get the occasional PSA about a bad seller but these types of videos are getting old. Your older videos that actually had useful content were much better. I’ll re-subscribe when you start making useful videos again.
P.S. thanks so much for adding in the outtakes to this video. You've no idea how awesome I think this is and how much I wish more tubers would do this. There only one I've found is a guy by the name alittledim or something like that. Thanks.
I genuinely don't understand why people buy expensive mechanical keyboards, I got one for $16 and it's working great.
I built a insane pc this year for $1800 lol can run 240 frames on almost every game I play
You can get a pre-built with a 2070GTX an I7-9650k 16Ram and 2TB of storage let alone a one that you build
The seller has some nice components like the case and ram and then he bundles with cheap GPU and psu and CPU. then add some RGB bling and it's looking like $1800 lol
Another funny thing is using a gen 4 NVME on a system that handicaps it and virtually makes it a gen 3.
EDIT: Wait a minute...You said it.
This guy totally just swapped out the CPU and GPU for some cheap ones.
I assume before publicly humiliating the seller you contacted them the see if they needed any guidance. Obviously your expertise could be of great help to a lesser experienced builder. Since you did such a thing you forgot to ask the reason for sale a family emergency maybe or perhaps a non PC builder advertising it for someone else. Its great that when you started out you character was strengthened by such a public flogging of your beginners mistakes.
whats wrong with the 8100? i got that beefy 8350k and he boolin. boys a quad core. slays games like any previous i5 would.
Maybe not the place to ask but, I'm trying to find a build that fits around $275 - $350. Does anyone at least know where to start with this?
That's so funny, I just sold a i3 8100 and X370 TUF and Vengance 8gb for like $100 ....
Conclusion: pcpartpicker sucks. I think that actually may have an accidental 0 to much, so $180 is the actual price wich would be a decent price.
Gigabyte 1050ti.. With 82 US dollar(used).....still good until now
If you sell it someone will buy it 😂 People are stupid. Look at ugly people they are finding each other. - + -= + hmm...
As of 1/25/2020, 54 individuals are considering this build, since they disliked this video.
Of course changing out parts for different parts will get a different price.
Just price it at with what is in the system. And not what parts you would replace it with.
Not every builder is a professional.
Looks to me like they were trying to piece something together over time, wanted to finish it and just finished it with junk parts. Realized it was crap and wants their money back.
