Thank you, man! I used your link. I needed a decent beater knife. I got the same grey one. Looks badass
Picked up the blacked out version... really nice
I got one in red and love it. Was bored of the regular black handle knives
Nice review, and great knife, I just ordered one.
Thanks for the comment and let me know what you think!
Mine comes today! Got the blue version!
Awesome knife 🔪 🔥 It's got my favorite blade shape also, very nice design on the handle part. Cool analysis, subscribed 🤘
👍 Great video! Love the Serene. It's essentially the big brother to the Qubit.
Had to go with the g10 large pyrite 3.8 ounces, better steel, and more grippy for $60
That gray looks great! Not many people have videos on this one. I’ve been loving it. Curious how it’ll hold up over time with the aluminum.
Good job, thanks 👍
I am super interested in this one … ordered it this week … aluminum scales are super underrated … design is interesting and sencuts value is terrific. Great bid… very informative. Subbed.
Also the rounding on the scales looks so comfy… can’t wait to get it in hand
I love my Mims, the Serene is just a button lock version… nice knives!
This knife and I have an intimate relationship. It gave me the worst finger cut I've had in years! To the bone flayed wide open had to break out the super glue type cut! 😆
Oh Jesus that sounds horrible. Was it the fault of the night or did you just mess up? I messed up playing around with a Cormorant from Kaiser and cut myself that badly on the heel of my foot which was a really awkward place to cut yourself.
@@sharpends4279 I was cutting through a thick dense slab of cardboard and the blade slipped out of the cut and slammed into my finger. It happened so quick it didn't even hurt at first but it bled like crazy.
Sencut is part of We/Civivi family.
Yes! I had forgotten about that at the time of the video. But just looked it up earlier this morning while doing research.
I've just ordered my first knife and it's a Sencut sachse, being a lefty the button lock will be handy, but I am already thinking that my next one will probably be an affordable axis/crossbar lock knife. Not a huge fan of having to cross the blade path to close it and I know I'm gunna be fidgeting with it a lot lol.
Not sure what your order l price limit is but the Deka Hogue 2 in Magnacut cross bar lock is an amazing knife at about $135ish.
Little nervous about knives with button locks because I've seen some scary videos of button locks being released when the knives spine is struck.
But seeing a solid budget knife makes me want one.
The Civivi Qubit is 14c28n steel and I'm not sure if I want to buy it!
14c28n is a solid steel and for the price it's great. If you want to try out a button lock this is a good way to do it and then you'll know if you want to actually get something a little bit more expensive. I know that the Malibu is a big investment but I find it to be one of my favorite knives ever and I don't spine whack my stuff very often LOL
There's not a question of me purchasing the Serene. It's automatic. (Not the knife itself, just me purchasing it😜) M But... I REALLY wish that Civivi would make a 3.5 or 3.75 inch version of the Qubit with the same or even thinner blade stock thickness as the original.
Its already so thin though..
Just dropped the large pyrite for $60 it’s amazing g10 is 3.7 inch blade 3.8 ounces
not. why anyone continues to produce knives in D2 is beyond me, when 14c28n, Ar- RPM9, N690 and nitro v are readily available at similar prices. Even 9cr18mov. I'd also take 14c28n over s35v every day of the week and never worry about chipping. Why D2? It friggin rusts and has low toughness. it's not 2015 anymore.
I totally agree with you about 14c28n. It's a great steel
Man the difference is barely noticable, it wont rust if you have the minimum care to it i assure you i have many D2 blades, the reason they use it is that indeed it is a little more expensive to manufacture, if you want 14c then go buy a more expensive knife similar but with 14c like the civivi ones, it'll cost you 10$ more (like +20% of the price) but hey you'll need to sharpen it maybe every 11 days instead of 10 and couod leave it on the dishwasher all night 😃
Why I went with the large pyrite over this better steel and same blade stock
