- Tune in and get the lowdown on our award winning 1968 Iso Rivolta restomod build from Richard Griot and builder Louie Shefchik, of J&L Fabricating, who was called upon to turn Richard’s vision into reality. See the car on the road and be privy to the ins and outs of the project.
This car is absolutely gorgeous! This is what a restomod is all about, minimal changes that make an enormous difference. Love the rear light set up and the interior is immaculate. Wonderful job. Great to see it’s actually driven too 👍
This has to be one of the most beautiful cars ever. The lines on it are just to die for.
In that case, I'm already dead!
Absolutely beautiful car and absolutely beautiful video! I would love to see Richard go over more of his collection with videos just like this. I enjoyed this immensely.
100% agreed!
It was great to have a hand in this Awsome build; final fit, body and paintwork by Byers Custom.
Bravo Richard! Thanks for sharing your car and your passion. Seeing it in person was memorable.
Absolutely spectacular. Richard your descriptive and emotional attachment truly brings home what a car represents, automotive sculpture at it's best!
I’m speechless 😳
Gorgeous looking car!
Stunning piece of automotive art.
Thank you!
Unreal one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. Congratulations it’s just near perfection.
That car's beautiful! Adding that to my dream list!
So you want one too? That means Santa's SACK is getting heavier, if he has to bring us BOTH one!
Im an Italian Motorcycle enthusiast but Richard's Iso is Amazing.
Ducati baby
Witnessed this beautiful automobile, at both SEMA and at Griot's Garage. Breathtaking...
What a machine!
Well done, beautiful car, story told very well, Bravo!
Beautiful car..love the Italian design with the American muscle sound...
I've never seen this model before but WOW!! Even sitting still this car is absolutely gorgeous! I'd like to see it at one of the Caffeine and Gasoline events unless it's currently in the display.
Saw this at J&L Fabrication a few weekends ago. Absolutely stunning! Once can stare at this car for a couple of hours and still be finding details you've missed. Certainly a three-dimensional piece of art. And with a dry-sump LS engine driving a 6-speed; well then, time to go!
Wonderful creation of a gentleman's express. The world needs more like it..
Thanks James!
That’s absolutely gorgeous. My Brother bought one of those when he was in college in the early eighties and spent over a year restoring it. Too bad he sold it.
Thank you, Brett!
Timeless Beauty 😍
Thanks!
Incredible. By FAR the best-looking Iso I've ever seen. Nice call on using the BMW taillights, BTW. They look so much better than the original design.
Thank you!
Great Job on the Rivolta! The Grifo II was the one I really loved, however.
Beautiful car. What is the interior color called???
The word 'beauty' is used a lot in the comments... with good reason!
Thank you!
SOMEONE SHOULD COME OUT WITH AN IDEA FOR A KIT CAR VERSION OF THIS CAR . STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL
GORGEOUS CAR.
Thank you!
This is a great resto-mod of a car that never made it in the U.S. Too bad.
They did make it to the US! not in very high numbers, though, unfortunately. They are still pretty difficult to come by.
car ok, but u could speak behind the camera dudes......
Congratulations but sorry, I'm going to be critical, at least I'm going to critique the design. I think the result is too aggressive, the Italian way was to be refined, yes my car is powerful, but it doesn't have to look powerful, that is the trick. Put back the stylishly thin bumpers, its not a car for children, don't make it too black like a teenager's bedroom. I suppose if all you've ever heard is Heavy Metal, you may well think that Black Sabbath were the best composers ever, but they weren't, Italians listen to Vivaldi and Mozart - that is knowledge and sophistication, loudness and quiet and delicacy. Your car looks like its about violence, it should be about outer calm with inner strength because that was what the original was trying to project.
p.s.looking at the original, it did have a 'scowl' on its face ..... I would say yours would benefit from the original bumper and probably a chrome or aluminium radiator grille because the front of yours looks stubby compared with the elegant extended rear .. from the side it is imbalanced IMO. Then again, everyone's opinion is different! yours sincerely, Colin - English architect and designer.
Too much talk, not enough car.
