Today I went on a family trip to visit Den Gamle By (in English “the old city”) in Aarhus, Denmark. It was my first visit to this amazing place but definitely not my last😊
This is a handheld footage (please bear with me) but hopefully you get the feeling of the kind of place it is. It’s a large museum and you can go into almost all buildings which contains museums as well. You can also find a variety of shops where you can buy all sorts of things.
In “Den Gamle By” you can experience history back to the 1700’s up to the beginning of the 1970’s.
In December there’s a special vibe with all the Christmas decorations, and I can highly recommend visiting this amazing historical place.

In the Botanical Gardens may be found Den Gamle By (The Old Town), an atmospheric collection of half-timbered town houses and shops from all over Denmark dating from the 17th to 19th century.
