SamEpic I know They have also the three broomsticks but the great hall is the most important room in hogwarts. If you go to hogwarts one of the main things that you want to see is the great hall.
Why is there bars all along the corridors and through the rooms, telling you where to walk. For me, it totally ruins it. They did a good job, but it just feels like a museum, instead they should make it seem like the real castle. I'd still love to visit though, it looks incredible!
It is actually because this is one long holding line for a ride at Universal Studios in Florida. The castle walkthrough is open even when the ride is not running. It is very impressive in person.
I'm going to Durham Cathedral, Gloucester Cathedral, Lacock Abbey (and the town that's used for Godric's Hollow) and Oxford in July. The movie locations of the movie are amazing in real life. Durham Cathedral's cloister but also exterior is forming half of the castle model used for Hogwarts. I've already been to the sets. Really, it's much more amazing to walk around the cloisters and classrooms than just in this simple underscaled commercial park.
the only thing that bothered me was that the people working there did not have british accents... i want to feel like im there! not at a ride in texas lol XD
@FreedomUnited It's a (I wouldn't say tiny) section of a bigger park. It's in Universal's Islands of Adventure. It's one of six themed "islands." There's The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Marvel Superhero Island, Seuss Landing (Dr. Seuss themed section), Toon Lagoon (Composed of old cartoons and comics like Popeye, Dudley Do-Right, etc. It's also the water park section) and The Lost Continent.
I have heard that there is going to be a Hogwarts express ride in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so I think there should also be a Knight Bus attraction there.
@hamshow12 So you don't touch the props/statues. People can lean against the rail instead of against the wall and also for those people who might have trouble walking, they can use the handrails to help them walk along. Also keeps people in somewhat of a single line to reduce people line cutting. Just my 2cents
@TaraArtsMovie Yes I can indeed. Many of us have quite the imagination. What really gets me is that she was able to put it all to paper. I seriously lack writing skills...
There was a Harry Potter marathon on tv last week, I watched them all, my favourite is the first one, philosophers stone, they were all so young and discovering Hogwarts and magic.
Oh my gosh. This was so amazing for a person like myself who didn't have the chance to visit this part because of nagging hurricanes in the area for 4 hours. Definitely going on this next time. Thank you for putting this up!
Can someone tell me what Harry, Ron, and Hermione were saying? i had a hard time understanding what they were talking about. I loved the part where the Hogwarts founders were talking to eachother!
We were just there yesterday! It was amazing. Our tip: after the first time you go through, choose to be a 'single rider'. You can't see your group members anyways while in the ride seats, and like 40% of the time they'll grab 2 of you at a time from that line because people in the other line are not paying attention (the cars never stop - they have to fill them very quickly). But the first time, do the walk through or you'll miss some of the castle. But 60 min wait is more like 45.
I loved it! It was better than i ever thought it would be, and it was so hard to leave! The bars are a hinderance, but they are needed to keep people from being jerks and just keeping them in line.
I LOVE that they play the soundtrack from the film while you walk through. Really adds to the atmosphere. I wish that they would expand this park. The other islands of adventure at universal were practically deserted compared to this.
We were here July &th...it was truly amazing....very very well done....def. for the big fans...and I guess fans in the making...but it really covers everything in the movies and looks like the movie sets....the simulator ride is AMAZING!!
The bars everywhere really ruin it, as do the numerous bins plotted around the place. The fact that they call you muggles is a bit annoying aswell, kinda ruins the immersion. The American accents aren't fitting either. However, what I found amazing were the moving paintings! How on earth did they do that? Also, are those actors playing Dumbledore, Dan, Rupert and Emma? They look very much like them!!! Or are they holograms of some sort? Thanks for the tour btw, I don't have to go there now xD
I went opening weekend to the wizarding world and loved every minute of it! Hogwarts was amazing! Olivanders was sheer genius! and butterbeer is delicious! I wanted to live there in the park!
I remember the first time watching the first movie with the talking portraits and moving stair cases I was like, this has got to be made into a theme park, its perfect for it!
@AttractionsMagazine How did you get to film it so empty? It's got to be packed 24/7. Do you work for someone, so you got access while it's closed? Are you a magazine editor?
Alright I've got maybe one more question going your way! Does the tour inside Hogwarts have the moving stairs? Like can you see them and do you walk up them at any point (doubt it but I'm curious!)?
@kidel3 i think it's a trick called pepper's ghost, which has been used in many other attractions. if you google it, you can probably learn more about it.
Gryffindor for the win ;D I can't wait to go here in late November, early December. I'm afraid I'm going to see the castle then break down and cry xD It's my dream come true since I grew up reading these books!
Yes you can go through the castle without doing the ride. I would go at the quietest time you can though, cos when there are huge queues, although they move pretty quick, you are ushered through and you miss a lot of it. I've been able to see more on here than when I was there!
@PSPmaster321 ....I do see your point about the "muggles." Being a muggle wouldn't neccesarily exclude you from immersion, but how can you be a muggle and be a wizard buying a wand that chooses you too? There's a slight inconsistancy there. But it would still be fun nonetheless. And the paintings are large TV screens behind something that gives it texture like real oil paintings.
Are all the main people throughout the castle holograms? Also, I am going soon, I have been looking forward to this for 2 or 3 years now and I am still super excited! Can you guys tell me if it was really worth it? Just wondering...
Kind of excited for the long line for this ride. Ignoring the long wait that accompanies it, it allows you to stop along the corridors and take everything in. :]
@whitesnowboarder can you imagine how long the lines will be when it finally opens? i kinda don't want to visit until winter break but i just can't wait! :)
I have to say this looks amazing, though from watching this and others, I have quite high expectations, i'm getting told that it is almost an exact replica of hogsmeade, hogwarts etc. Is this true, like can I actually go into the castle and sit in the grand hall?
I literally waited in line for three hours in order to ride this attraction. The inside of the castle was brilliant.. but why didn't you capture the sorting hat?
Continued I agree with the other people about the bars, everything just looks like sceanery not like your actually in Hogwarts with those bars. Hopefully those will be ditched by the time Im able to go. Also with little missactress - moving statues would be a great addition if there arn't already some. And did you see any ghosts in this tour? Thanks for uploading this video
amazing special effects with the characters appearing. I would also have thought hey could have done somehing with the moving stairs, ie giving the illusion of distance because the stairs are smaler the higher up you look - and then randomly move them
Have they put Sir Cadogan in a painting? Or the Fat Lady? And imagine if you could go into the One Eyed Witch and take that passageway to Hogsmeade like Harry did in The Prisoner Of Azkaban and get into Honeydukes' cellar. That'd be cool
Oh yeah, they have the Fat Lady. If they didn't that would be disappointing. I would like to see Sir Cadogan in a painting though, and a Knight Bus attraction? That would be awesome!
I've visited Hogwarts in my dreams, it was amazing, sadly I live too far away to visit this. If I ever make a trip to Florida, it would be a once or twice in a lifetime thing, and by then they've probarly closed this already. Glad to see things like this getting made, the only thing missing by now is a real life tour of Rapture from Bioshock, under the ocean of course.
I love how they did hogwarts. I hope to one day go there but it's in orlando and i'm in idaho so it may be awhile but hopefully someday. It looks so amazengly real? And yeah I have to wonder too if those are holograms of the three stars. Does anyone have a video I can see of a quidditch ride maybe? I'd love to venture more into this. I have to wonder which looks more real. The movie or the amusment park.
when i first went to universal i was excited for The wizarding world of harry potter...but this was crazy..i spent most of my day in this line because it was my chance to be at Hogwarts..the time spent getting to the ride was better than the ride itself
word of advice, when first entering the castle, proceed to the left into the singles line. The singles line takes you literally straight to the ride most of the time. No need of waiting for an hour anymore ;)
@JHGfilms they're the real actors, they did some special filming just for this ride, however they're holograms that you see. The opening for the wizarding world of harry potter is June 18th, right now the people that are being let in early are ones who pre-bought vacation packages for may and certain business people.
It's too bad that they haven't make the Great Hall.
They could make a restaurant inside.
They have a leaky cauldron.
SamEpic I know
They have also the three broomsticks but the great hall is the most important room in hogwarts.
If you go to hogwarts one of the main things that you want to see is the great hall.
What they should of done was make it a hotel. That would of been amazing. It would of made them a killing and we would of loved it.
yes then people could also visit the common rooms
I cried during all video. I need to go there, Im from Brasil, but I really need to go there.
Why is there bars all along the corridors and through the rooms, telling you where to walk. For me, it totally ruins it. They did a good job, but it just feels like a museum, instead they should make it seem like the real castle. I'd still love to visit though, it looks incredible!
+RivzMedia Because people break stuff I imagine. But for that cameras can be installed I say!
ikr but still cool 😎 i think the bars were for the actors to keep them in track of where they r goin maybe 😉
Really, it's much more amazing to walk around the cloisters and classrooms than just in this simple underscaled commercial park.
RivzMedia as cool as that would be, I imagine they did it cause people might try to steal stuff off the tables and desks
the only thing that bothered me was that the people working there did not have british accents... i want to feel like im there! not at a ride in texas lol XD
+Hannah Lund I think this in Florida.
You’ll live
Yeah um one ticket for... the rest of my life
shidt realities

They should make one in Scotland!
Can you imagine that ALL of these came from a brain of one woman??
@hamshow12 So you don't touch the props/statues. People can lean against the rail instead of against the wall and also for those people who might have trouble walking, they can use the handrails to help them walk along. Also keeps people in somewhat of a single line to reduce people line cutting. Just my 2cents
I love this! No irritating narration or dramatic cuts! JUST EPIC!!!
I absolutely love this. Even though it is not the clearest of videos it still captures the essence of the entire experience. I cannot wait to go back!
Oh god, muggles are invading hogwarts. Run for your lives.
😂😂😂
@TaraArtsMovie Yes I can indeed. Many of us have quite the imagination. What really gets me is that she was able to put it all to paper. I seriously lack writing skills...

Oh my gosh. This was so amazing for a person like myself who didn't have the chance to visit this part because of nagging hurricanes in the area for 4 hours. Definitely going on this next time. Thank you for putting this up!
A lot of people would really love to go there. Well, who doesn't?
Can someone tell me what Harry, Ron, and Hermione were saying? i had a hard time understanding what they were talking about. I loved the part where the Hogwarts founders were talking to eachother!
it was kind of like an introduction to the plot of the ride, saying that you could fly with them, which is basically what you do during the ride
1 year and that will be me! the excitement of my childhood WILL continue!
The portraits are amazing, they actually move! :D I wish they recreated the secret chambers in the castle :DD
We were just there yesterday! It was amazing. Our tip: after the first time you go through, choose to be a 'single rider'. @plasmavore /fail. Britain doesn't include Northern Ireland. That's the UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)
I'm going for spring break this year. Can't wait, sounds brilliant! Looks brilliant too.
THIS MAKES ME SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY.
this ride is the greatest thing in the entire world. we almost didnt go on it but im really glad we did
I loved it! It was better than i ever thought it would be, and it was so hard to leave!
The bars are a hinderance, but they are needed to keep people from being jerks and just keeping them in line.

@Ripto22475 well it pretty well builds up tension when youre waiting to get on the ride.
The bars everywhere really ruin it, as do the numerous bins plotted around the place. The fact that they call you muggles is a bit annoying aswell, kinda ruins the immersion. The American accents aren't fitting either.
However, what I found amazing were the moving paintings! How on earth did they do that?

Thanks for the tour btw, I don't have to go there now xD
Went on this at the end of August and loved it. Wanna go back and see the Hogwarts Express when it's finished.
I went opening weekend to the wizarding world and loved every minute of it! Hogwarts was amazing! Olivanders was sheer genius! and butterbeer is delicious! I wanted to live there in the park!
OMG i'm going to cry!! walking inside hogwarts would be a dream come true to me... i can't wait to go :D
Going at the end of this month. In all honesty i think imma cry when i see this. It's just so amazing
I remember the first time watching the first movie with the talking portraits and moving stair cases I was like, this has got to be made into a theme park, its perfect for it!
I've seen it in real life... boy thats amazing! the ride is simply incredible!
The Great Hall needs to be bigger!!!
Not the great hall but Room of Requirements
The moving pictures were actually AMAZING.
@AttractionsMagazine How did you get to film it so empty? It's got to be packed 24/7. Do you work for someone, so you got access while it's closed? Are you a magazine editor?
thank you so much for filming and uploading!! :D
Alright I've got maybe one more question going your way!
Does the tour inside Hogwarts have the moving stairs? Like can you see them and do you walk up them at any point (doubt it but I'm curious!)?
@AttractionsMagazine Thankyou. Is it like a projection or an animatronic? (I know I sound really childish but I'm terrified of spiders haha)
@kidel3 i think it's a trick called pepper's ghost, which has been used in many other attractions. if you google it, you can probably learn more about it.
This ride was the most amazing ride I've EVER been on.
Awsome ride, and i didnt mind waiting because the castle is fun to walk through
Could I stay there forever? In HEAVAN? Please?
shift realities
Gryffindor for the win ;D I can't wait to go here in late November, early December. I'm afraid I'm going to see the castle then break down and cry xD It's my dream come true since I grew up reading these books!
can you go into each houses common room at all and take a tour of the great hall?
@AttractionsMagazine Okay, so you only see them for a second while on the ride?
omg this is awesome!!! thanks for posting this! i'm flying over as soon as i can afford it!
THOSE PAINTINGS ARE AWSOME
when the park is more crowed it serves as a waiting area for the caste ride, so the bars are more for keeping order on busy days
WOW, all of those portraits making conversations.. impressive!
Yes you can go through the castle without doing the ride. I would go at the quietest time you can though, cos when there are huge queues, although they move pretty quick, you are ushered through and you miss a lot of it. I've been able to see more on here than when I was there!

@Oswalvideos What did you expected?
That looks amazing. I can't wait to go back to Orlando.
@AttractionsMagazine I got that question answered earlier, but I were wondering what type of projection, it looks so real.
do you have to ride the ride for the whole tour? im going with my daughter and she dosen't like rides, but she wants to see the castle.
OMG Memories from July...-sniff- best vacation EVER!
I have to say this looks amazing, though from watching this and others, I have quite high expectations, i'm getting told that it is almost an exact replica of hogsmeade, hogwarts etc. Is this true, like can I actually go into the castle and sit in the grand hall?
Yea, that would be an awesome tour to take.
So, is there anything in the park related to Quittage? I havent' heard much about that. Any shows or anything related to it?
how big is the castle? is it something that you could wander around in for hours, or just a matter of minutes?
I literally waited in line for three hours in order to ride this attraction. The inside of the castle was brilliant.. but why didn't you capture the sorting hat?
I am going to be there in three days!!! So excited Ican barely stand it!!!
i assume that the castle is a bit brighter? i understand if it's due to camera quality.
Continued
I agree with the other people about the bars, everything just looks like sceanery not like your actually in Hogwarts with those bars. Hopefully those will be ditched by the time Im able to go. what kind of ride is it any way?
Is it like a roller coaster or something like that?
Do you know if there going to bring the World Of Harry Potter to Disneyland California?
Have they put Sir Cadogan in a painting? Or the Fat Lady? And imagine if you could go into the One Eyed Witch and take that passageway to Hogsmeade like Harry did in The Prisoner Of Azkaban and get into Honeydukes' cellar. That'd be cool
Oh yeah, they have the Fat Lady. If they didn't that would be disappointing. I would like to see Sir Cadogan in a painting though, and a Knight Bus attraction? That would be awesome!
So you can already walk inside of the castle right? Its not just an attraction to watch from the outside?
If I went here I would probably end up bawling my eyes because it's so beautiful
so is this an indoor roller coaster or just a walk-through attraction?
wow ive never seen this ride with no line. when did you go?
Im going here in a about 2 weeks! So freakin' excited! I hope it's not ridiculously jam packed like the photos have shown!
@AttractionsMagazine the part when harry herminoe and ron come are they real or is it just like a moving picture or something
THIS WAS SO AWESOME! I was in a car for 13 hours from Virginia to Florida but it was WORTH IT!
Did the attraction itself live up to all the hype?
I've visited Hogwarts in my dreams, it was amazing, sadly I live too far away to visit this. If I ever make a trip to Florida, it would be a once or twice in a lifetime thing, and by then they've probarly closed this already. Well do you get todo stuff like go to the places like Griffiondor or Slythrin common rooms and go to the great hall?
i really want to go really bad , i am a huge fan of the books and movies . looking forward to going to universal this November .
@fxsaberboy i don't think so....you go through some of the castle but i think the ride is in a white building next to it....so i doubt they are
Are there any stairs in there? I'd love to go but my mum (who is also a HP fan) is in a wheel chair. Is it handicap accessible?
when i first went to universal i was excited for The wizarding world of harry potter...but this was crazy..i spent most of my day in this line because it was my chance to be at Hogwarts..the time spent getting to the ride was better than the ride itself
word of advice, when first entering the castle, proceed to the left into the singles line. The singles line takes you literally straight to the ride most of the time. No need of waiting for an hour anymore ;)
I believe there is one now in London too.
@JHGfilms they're the real actors, they did some special filming just for this ride, however they're holograms that you see. The opening for the wizarding world of harry potter is June 18th, right now the people that are being let in early are ones who pre-bought vacation packages for may and certain business people.
is there a ride included in the tour
So excited! I'm totally going this summer!
Does anyone knows the name of the soundtrack at 1:54
Wow, I HAVE to go to that place!
What kind of ride is in there then??? I live in holland soo Xx
why is it so dark in the places like the defense against the dark arts class, and the halls and the gryffindor common room?
