The people of St Thomas should all come out and protest about the roads. The government is treating St Thomas like it is not part of Jamaica for years now. All it takes is a small group coming together to organize the rest of the people. One community pass the message to the other until all the people of the parish know the planned date of protest. Don't allow the Ministers to give you any stupid story, because you all pay taxes one way or another. Alex you can take up the lead and don't be afraid to speak up. You are well spoken to do the job. This’s one of the reasons I tell my kid I would love to take them to Sammaset were I’m from,but the roads were always my nightmare so for now We travel as tourist 😞.Sad that after all theses years government still forget about country people.bless-up fam and thanks for this
We need to fix just about every inch of road now in St. Thomas bro...things were starting to look up for a minute then those plans literally got washed away.....Still we keep moving forward. One Love Family...

This looks ridiculous, you are right can't call it a road, but a track. The people need to band together and boot out the politicians who not making any improvements. Reach out to the reigning Ms. Jamaica from Bath, she said she would work to improve and put St. Thomas on the map. So true. My car was ALWAYS at the mechanic shop because of the road condition. It's even worse when the rain wash out the roads, wash huge rocks in the road and you drop in massive pothole on the way to GG/and Happy Grove
I feel very frustrated, it's just not fair how the people of St Thomas are being treated. Over the many years if the public purse was not mismanaged Jamaica could very well have had even a state of the art railway system that takes people from one part of the island to another. My gosh not even the Knutsford coach as a route through St Thomas. People of St Thomas need to stand together and be one voice, but this is just my opinion...thank you for the update Alex

This is terrible. I know a new highway is being constructed in St Thomas but it does nothing for the local people who use roads like the one you just showed. A lot of road resurfacing and construction is needed in St Thomas. The Jamaican Government should look into paving roads with concrete, we have a lot in Jamaica go see videos in India they have highways of concrete, it is better than asphalt.
The worst road in saint thomas, the government needs to buy some lands from the citizen and build a new road away from the gully. It's very dangerous to have it close to the gully. Concerning the rivers , I know some people use to wash their clothes etc.,but I would like to know the main reasons why we have rivers. I think the government should dump all the rivers in jamaica to avoid another disaster like this.

My God, all these roads I'm looking at, looked like highways back when I was a kid. I can't believe these are the same roads.
