They knew Marty was too involved in his own music to ever be the pretty boy hired gun they wanted as lead singer. Marty ended up opening for INXS on their tour though!
So underrated. Im not sure if he just couldnt get his foot in the door or lack of advertising but this man should have hit stardom. Great stage essence. Amazing voice. If he was born maybe 10-15 years earlier he would have been bigger than inxs

Omg INSX made a huge mistake in not picking Marty as lead replacement. I dont even like blondes but Marty was exciting talented performer. Jan 2023 and I still google to find his performance
Marty Casey already had his own band out of Chicago! They're called "Marty Casey and The Lovehammers" where he's their lead vocal singer and they have several albums and can be found on RUclips. I'm a big fan of his group and their music. The song "Trees" was a "Lovehammers" song that he wrote himself and sang for this show also ....
Well look at them now, I saw them in concert and JD was HAMMERED. It was terrible. They are nowhere to be seen after only a year of touring and one really GOOD album. I think Marty has yet to find his spotlight :)
