We bought a house last summer. I looked at the water heater and said it needs to be replaced stat. It was 17 years old. So in ma there is the tax holiday in august. Bought a new unit and stored it in a relative garage for a few weeks. Then we take ownership of the house we go in the basement and the water heater is leaking. So glad I bought a new one when I did.
My folks put the hybrid water heater in and regret it because since it sucks any warmth out of the cellar (warm air rises), it makes the basement cold, thereby making the 1st floor cold as well. They have not seen any cost savings and the basement now needs insulation between the cellar and 1st floor that it didn't need before with their gas-powered water heater.
On a beautiful cutting board like that they should consider routing a drip edge on the top. with a little groove so that it could drain. For cutting juicy wet things like tomatoes🍅
The "Americanized" tankless, because 2.5 gallons just wasn't enough! I just got a Takagi tankless, thing is boss. Still working on that "cold water sandwich" though. 🤣
I would expect the heat pump on top of the water heater to outlast the tank portion. Is there a way for the heat pump to be removed at the end of the tank's life and then retrofitted to a replacement tank? Otherwise, it would seem a waste of a perfectly good heat pump.
i took a shower last night in my apartment so cold. this morning scolding hot. i dont know whats going on.. its connected to all tenants.. radiant heating in the floor
Curb side garden area looks good until the first snow fall lol. That mulch is going to be everywhere with water run off salts gonna kill it all. I’d leave it alone

Yes, I can see that happening. It's basically an air-conditioner running in reverse, dumping the cold air byproduct into your cellar.
Good to hear that feedback because I’ve wondered about that
just a great show.

I live where it snows like once a decade, this landscaping is nothing more than a gold label toilet for the local cats.
Wow…… sorry guys for these comments generally.
