- Here is an easy and quick way to find any Major pentatonic or minor pentatonic scale on guitar using pattern #1. If you know the notes on the low "E" string on the guitar then you can use the "Rock and Roll Rule" to play in all 12 keys, Major or minor. #pentatonicscale

Once pattern #1 is on the fretboard (for the correct musical scale) you can then navigate to the other 4 patterns to keep moving that same scale all over your fretboard.
This is a perfect lesson for beginners…wish I was taught this day one!
Thank you, and so much of what I teach is just that, "I wish someone taught me that earlier"
this is one of those videos you need a pen and paper for great stuff man finally understand what playing if the key of something means

Thank you!, glad it helped and there will be a lot more coming!
Rest of the 2, 3, 4, 5 shape how i will recognise as a A minor & C Major
I’ve heard this rule my next question is what about the remaining shapes in the scale
once pattern #1 is in place all the remaining 4 are connected in the same way every time to pattern #1
Primo explanation!!!
Great idea to memorize the BC EF landmarks on the fretboard.
