- In this video, we will talk about HAL, especially about Tejas, Tejas Mark 1A. So, for the Tejas Mark 1A unit, the IAF has already placed an order. And the additional 97 number, there too, the indication of DAC approval was given. For which, the new information will be that an RFP has been issued by the MOD for HAL.
So, the total number of Tejas will be around 180. The 40 LCAs Tejas, IOC and FOC have already been delivered. Their trainers will be delivered soon. The Mark 1A standard trainers will be there. And all these LCAs Tejas are going to be replaced. MIG 21, MIG 23 and MIG 27. Most of the aircraft have already been phased out.
And the new ones will be replaced by Tejas soon. So this is an important development in which the 97 aircraft will be around Rs. 65, 000 crores. The other development here is that the number of LCA Mk II will be around 100 plus units, around 110 units. This indicates that the number of Tejas Mk II will be around 200.

2. Develop kaveri version of 85 to 90kn for future Tejas fighter.
3. Develop 110kn future fighter engine with foreign collaboration for AMCA.
4. Airforce & Navy both try to develop a heavy category (4++ gen) twin engine fighter which could replace SU-30mki in future.
5. Ramp up AMCA development
No we should focus on Tejas mk2 after this order it confirms that their is no chance for any additional rafle . Kaveri 2.0 is started and we should be concerned about TDBF

I was hoping IAF will have 60%/40% of low high mix. But looks like with 11 squadron of mk1a + 11 squadron of mk2+ 15 of su 30 mki + approx . 6 squadron of Rafael ie) 43 squadron in total. There is not much space for AMCA if only 44 squadron are approved...
Similar to how china developed JF17 and handed over to a third country similarly india should make Mk1a/1b more potent and sell the second hand version of mk1a to other countries once MK2 production capacity picks up... So that IAF can achieve high low mix of 40% to 60%

Good analysis bro, but at the moment there are few airbases which have have remained idle since phassing our of MIGs so we need to fill that gap first. I know there is an urge to see more of Tejas mk2s than Tejas mk1As but this is how it is right now
So to accumulate AMCA, they won’t go for MRFA. Even if it happens, mrfa will be limited to 2 squadrons.

Jarruri nahi hai iaf already around 654 fighter aircraft's operate karti hai, fir bhi 32-33 ke aas pas squadrons banti hai. We need atleast 850 or even more fighters, for fulfilling our requirements.
