I loved the Mustang when strummed on the neck pickup, it seemed more articulate than the Jag and JM which really surprised me. For bridge pickup I like the JM the best, it seemed to have the fullest voice and with both pickups the Jaguar was a killer. Great little comparison, they're all fantastic guitars!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing all these comparisons. These three are my favorite too and it sounds like you have found their soul within. Cheers! Also you need to try Mustang with Jazzmaster pickups. Another pleasure to be had.
hey! Super cool work, sir, thank you. I have a question: do you recon it would be possible to achieve those noisy sounds from a JM at the end with a Mustang? I'm torn between the two and would love to go for a Mustang, but I need to be able to get to that sound region with a decent sustain, so it's not a simple decision. Would appreciate a word of advice!
I love all three! Not sure if I agree that the Mustang is the best looking, but it's certainly the underdog, the most quirky of the bunch and therefore probably the coolest. I think both the Jazzmaster and the Jaguar might be the most beautiful guitar designs out there. The Jazzmaster has the most unique pickups but is probably the safest bet: Most convenient controls and familiar scale length. But for sound, the Jaguar might have the edge for me.
They are all good guitars, but without hot pups, the mustang may sound a bit thin. Imo the JM is the best fender guitar. You can play almost everything with it, sounds great. But i agree, the mustang is prettier.
I have staytrem on the way & maybe i'll receive it this week. Just curious how it take that kind of trem action. Right now i used mastery. Recently i did try the original bridge and suprisingly sound good & i really like it. Excited to try the rocking bridge and go for staytrem for it's stability.
I think they are ever so slightly different but not enough that it would matter in a mix. I feel they would have the same vibe. I think the difference really shows in all the switches and phase changes.
Ok so. I just need all three then.
That is the best answer 🎉
I can't believe how different just the reverb sounds with each guitar. Wildly different response from each one. Very cool demo.

The noise from 3:20 onwards was so epic hahaha sounded amazing
I’m surprised by how much I like the mustang pickups. Clear and a lot of nice low end.
Yes the mustang is nice in the lows.
I love Mustangs, but the neck pickup on a Jazzmaster is a special kind of beast...🎸🌊🏄♂️🦈
Because I don't play with any reverb it's hard to concentrate on anything else. It's like a steak contest where they're all drowned in ketchup
I love the simplicity of the Mustang, but I just love the look of the Jaguar! I own two Jaguar's, but they both have humbuckers!
I need a vintage Mustang so bad. More videos like this please 🙌
Check in my channel i did a lot of versus videos.

Yes you can go wild with a mustang. (Check in my video Surfer Rosa Live International Planet Clair) .
Sweet! I loved the end.

Wow I’m surprised at how much I liked the mustang
My favorite! Very underestimated.
that ending tho
I like the look of the JM (and Jag) but the sound of the Mustang. 😭
Great video! Would you please share the exact model of the mustang pickups? Can't find them anywhere :( thanks!
Q pickups mustang hot
Best last 2 minutes

Well done. That JM vibrato seems to take a beating.
Awesome!!! Thanks
Jazzmaster pickups will always be my favorite.
Do you prefer the antiquity I over the AVRI 62 pickups on the jagaur?
i prefer antiquity I. A bit more meat.
Is that mustang body the MG66 in California Blue? I love it but it’s so rare it’s hard to find info about it online.
Yes It is. Cij from late 90s. I learned about it only few years ago.
Does the jazzmaster stay in tune after that abuse during last part of the video?
Yes , the prove is the little harmonics at the end. I didn’t stop before i just cut a noise part when editing the video.
I have a 62 and no lying you can use it at practice, week later do a gig then another practice and still in tune
Yup stock bridge , 60 years of grime stops the rattle

Muy bien! 🤩

I like the mustang better than the jazz
@@frankhunt2800 mustang is my favorite

don't all those guitars sound the same? I listened to this video without watching, I swear I couldn't tell a difference
