This band is insane. Bassist playing a Danelectro. Drummer doing what every drummer does (which is rock harder than they need to… as a fellow drummer I can attest to not being able to help it.). I’m not a big time surf rock guy, but I can appreciate when it’s done well. The band is pretty awesome. Glad they’re out there doing their thing.
Well, if the drummer and bass could hold the groove it might be OK. A good drummer and bass player make the band. If they can't stay together consistently, bad things happen. She also needs to work on that kick, way too booming. On the other hand, a better recording would go a long ways for this group as well. I listen to their videos and without exception, the recording is horrific!
@@dwdeclare1965 Not exactly but they are really pretty you have to admit. Her Posture and Style! She has very Strong Self Discipline, something I both admire and lack. I understand that to be with her close friends, she taught herself Bass very quickly and is like, totally Awesome! Wow! She is Perfect! I hope the band never loses her. I wish they can set up a really good studio room. This Girl Band is Way Better than most people know about. A proper Studio Room for them on RUclips would be Mind Blowing, World Wide, Incredible!
We saw photographs over the weekend of them rehearsing for recording at The Woodshed in Toronto. Roller Fink was released about six months after we saw similar photographs so maybe autumn. Maybe quicker without covid, maybe longer if pressing is delayed.
@@FTStratLP Priscilla is the name they gave their phone. You can see it stage right being operated by Shermy. It became the inspiration for their composition of that name, my favourite track on Roller Fink.
Really liked the jam but mixer should accent the leads, blend the volume levels of each instrument and create the fullness of their tone. Change the so-so to a WOW!❤
It does a little. If you watch the video of the complete gig you can see that Nicole remarks that it's not working and Sarah attends to it without success. Hopefully in at some point in the future, The Surfrajettes will qualify for the technical support needed on the road to get effects like this back again.
